Another brilliant and challenging course from SheCodes! I learnt so much and have grown confidence as a developer.
I'm really delighted to be one of the Delac Foundation students I always tried to do my best and these courses changed my career and I follow my dream to be a professional programmer.
I felt like the previous workshops gave me a better understanding of the language. I am not walking away from the React workshop feeling like I have a good beginner understanding of it. There were frequent comments about "this is really difficult, you don't need to know why this works this way, just do it" which doesn't help with ultimately understanding the framework. Additionally, while there is some merit in being able to adapt previous code to a new framework, I disliked not having a new project to work on. I wanted to work on a fresh project that would potentially need different types of logic employed. I felt a bit hoodwinked when I saw we were just doing the weather app again.

I love the way of teaching in this course It's step-by-step and practical, the challenges are incredible and they will make you practice immediately so you wouldn't forget what you have learnedπ

I enjoyed learning with this responsive workshop and extend my knowledge about coding. It was quite challenging at some points, but you learn to also solve tricky things. And in the end you are really happy if it works out how you imagined it.
I really enjoyed the course, first week was the most difficult one. But the more I learned, the more interested I became. The videos give clear explanations and guidance. Especially useful I found Athena AI.
SheCodes Plus tutorials are easy to follow and can complete at your own pace :)

I am so glad that I took this React course with SheCodes because I learned so much. Coding is not easy but it does pay off at the end when you see your projects come to life and it feels good knowing you didn't quit. Coding is not for everyone and that is ok but if you can learn even the basics you already gained a skill you didn't have before.
I recently completed the SheCodes Basic workshop and it exceeded all of my expectations. The instructor was knowledgeable and made the material both accessible and enjoyable. The course has been really involved, quite tricky at times, but explained well. Super interesting seeing how it all comes together and really informative.

Amazing course! I thought that in the end, I'd be able to understand a basic HTML code when I saw it. However, I had no idea I would be able to create a webpage myself. Now that I know it's not magic, but hard work, I'm willing to learn much more.
This workshop was perfect. I learn lots of things and how I can create a responsive website. Now I have a homepage for myself as a showcase and it is so awesome. I highly recommend this workshop now I am more confident about developing a website.
This is one of the best online courses I have taken so far. With their AI called Athena, fixing my codes was so easy. The best part about it is that I was able to get a strong explanation each time I made an error.
The SheCodes Basics Add-On helped expand my knowledge and refine what I learned in SheCodes Basics. I feel like a more confident developer because of it!

I am a lot of things, a designer a model, a dreamer... the list could go on but ultimately I am a creative. A few months before this course I did some learning on freecodecamp.org and then moved to shecodes.io just to experiment with the idea before committing to an actual degree in Web Systems. I am currently studying in college and I am so much ahead in my courses I am taking all thanks to the help of SheCodes. I've taken some time in the world to decide what I want in life and within that process I found a love for coding. I specifically want to pursue a career in cloud computing. I also want to learn/experiment with the integration of animation in web sites. I look forward to learning more and plan to do many more workshops to further my knowledge! My interest in coding began in late 2022, whilst I was in my third year of University. I realised that I had little passion for my major and wanted to find something new that would spark passion within me. I had thought about going back to university after I graduated to study an MBA or something in finance. But, 2022 was a year of exploration and self discovery for me, I had met a lot of friends within the tech industry, who suggested I look into coding and that coding was a great field for women. So, I did just that. I began my research and saw an overwhelming amount of different positions within the tech industry. Immediately, I was drawn to the idea of cybersecurity and began to do a course on that on freeCodeCamp but it was overwhelmingly difficult and frustrating. I gave up as quickly as I had began. Then, I return after I had written my final year exams and went back to my research, I looked for advice from the large online coding community and everyone had advised to start with web development, as it was the foundation of understanding coding and breaking into the industry. So, I started again, watching Youtube videos, following along with them as they began to code, and at first, it was overwhelming but it made a lot more sense this time since I was taking baby steps. I spent a month being self taught, assimilating the different markup languages, wanting to perfect them before I added Javascript to my roster. I went on Tiktok and found my community in 'Black women in Tech-tok', that's when I came across SheCodes for the first time. I always knew I was a learner that needed a roadmap with structure, so I knew I would thrive in an online school or course, so I knew SheCodes would be for me. I had a stable enough understanding of HTML and CSS and SheCodes helped me begin to understand the ropes of Javascript and I'm excited to learn more, know more and grow with SheCodes. This is only the beginning of my journey with our amazing instructor Matt and the SheCodes team.
I started learning how to code with SheCodes hands-on online coding workshops. My goal was to expand my coding knowledge to improve my design deliverables to engineers.
sheCodes has been a great learning platform for me the online videos of Matt breaking down the concepts made it easy for to understand.I am definitely better than when I started and have enjoyed the learning process

I came back to this extra project after finishing SheCodes Plus, half as a refresher and the other half to complete an extra project. And I'm glad I did, because I learn a number of new tips and tricks in the extra project I would have otherwise had to struggle with. So glad I signed up for the Max package to be able to do these extra fun projects!
This course was an encouraging introduction to coding from scratch. The most exciting was the final project which allowed me to channel all I have learned in the past weeks while applying my skills as a designer to the project.
That was an interesting course for learning the basics, with having no coding background I liked the setting and the presentations. Sometimes, I felt overwhelmed by the amount of content, but actually it is not a big deal. You get help through Slack and Athena Al are terrific helpers; Athena Al walks through more details. I cannot believe how Matt makes it so easy to learn how to code, the multiple challenges and interactive videos make it easy for us to follow and implement what we learn as we go. My confidence in my abilities went from zero to almost 100% when it came to applying the concepts taught. I would recommend this course to all women around the world it is truly worth it.

This course was super beneficial. I love how it went straight to the point and did not leave me in the tutorial loop hole. So glad I came out with a project under my belt, one that was so fun to do as well
This workshop was much needed! Learning how to make my projects responsive was a game changer and really beneficial. After finishing, I went through and edited my previous projects so now they look great no matter what screen size they are being viewed on!
The course was very informative and Matt is a great teacher. all the subjects are explained in a way that makes them seem really easy and the tools used in the course are tools that developers use in real life. That was a great experience for me :)

Learning React is not easy but Matt's instructions were really clear and made it easy to understand the different concepts. I have completed all the previous SheCodes workshops and they have all been amazing. This one is no different, and I can only hope that more workshops are released in the future!

It was fun but it was difficult too! It was difficult to decide what I want to have on my site bcs I want it to look different. I`m not a designer. I spend a lot of time changing the style of my site. And the most difficult part was - to stop improving it! It was very-very difficult. But thank you for the lessons.
As all previous workshops, SheCodes React was super interesting and full of valuable information! I learned a lot of things that will surely aid me to start a career as a front-end web developer. New concepts are introduced in small portions to make them easy to understand and practice with the daily challenges. And even though there are deadlines to lean on, if your life really gets too busy (like mine did), you can always come back later and continue/ finish the course when you have the time. The tech support will still be there for you as well. All in all, I would highly recommend this course to anyone who would like to learn about React JS or just continue their coding journey. I had a lot of fun and I'm sure, so will you. π

I am a stay at home mom and I was scrolling tik tok one night when I came across a video for She Codes. I am not computer or tech savvy at all. However I found it interesting and decided to watch the free 60 minute coding session. After that I started the She Codes Basic and I LOVED IT!!! The whole set up was great. I loved the short videos they were so easy to follow, and challenges were so fun. I am excited to start another workshop!!!

SheCodes React was definitely one of my most challenging workshops. I took a lot of time to finish this project, but at the same time, it was fascinating! Matthieu Delac breaks down the whole process into easy-to-understand pieces. Shout out to JoΓ£o, Vlada, and Paul, who have been incredible guides! It's a pleasure to see the final result and to know what I accomplished in the 6 weeks. The SheCodes journey has elevated my desire to learn more and practice my skills in real-life projects. Definitely would recommend this course!

I've learned the basic concepts of coding in a really fun and easy way through SheCodes wonderful courses. The instructor is a quite expert in his field and teaches in a straightforward way. It was the best course that I've ever joined thanks to SheCodes and its amazing instructor Matt Delac.
I never expected that my journey with SheCodes would be so fulfilling, and it has changed my life completely. I have learnt the fundamentals of coding and now I am able to create programs that I never thought possible. I am now working on projects and I am gaining experience and confidence in my abilities as a developer. With SheCodes, I have been able to acquire the skills necessary to pursue my dream of becoming a professional coder. I am so thankful that I found the platform, and I am sure that I will continue to benefit from the resources it provides.
From the first challenge to the final project, I could not believe coding could be so much fun and so easy. The feeling of creating something valuable really amazed me, all thanks to the interactive and helpful lessons and challenges from SheCodes.
After completing the responsive workshop, I have definitely gained more confidence in my abilities to code and creating sites that are compatible on all devices. It gave me a better understanding of how sections of the page are separated and how to target specific areas. Comparing my experience from day one to now, HTML and CSS has become a second language for me.
I havenβt learned anything about coding yet but I could really enjoy this seminar! Also Iβm still learning English so sometimes itβs a bit challenging for me to understand the content but Itβs really worth to take this seminar!! If someone is deciding to take this seminar or not due to language, just try!!

I really enjoyed this course! I had a little knowledge about html and css before I started, but it all makes so much more sense now. The videos were well structured and well paced and I enjoyed working on all the challenges. Can't wait to start the next course with SheCodes :-)

It's been a long time since I first started SheCodes. I did Basic, Plus, Responsive and had plans to start React. But unfortunately life doesn't go always as planned and motherhood and settling down in a new country ended up drifting me away from the course. But I always felt eager and anxious to get back to it. After one year away from all I decided to get back on track and get myself the Basic Addon course to slowly getting myself familiar again with all the content. And it really worked great! Was a great way to get myself going again and It felt natural and easy to follow. I am very happy to be back, and also am very happy to realize how much I really love coding. Can't wait to have more :)

This was a challenging, engaging and comprehensive educational course. I have learnt so much due to the way each lesson is presented. The community in Slack is so supportive and the SheCodes team is extremely efficient when I reached out for help.
This workshop was full of new things and easy to follow. The best thing is to code a portfolio which I can keep improving and use in future. After my last course with Shecodes, I wanted to learn about responsiveness. I am really glad that I took this course and had an amazing experience learning with Shecodes.
She codes basic is a wonderfully paced course as an introduction to coding. I hope to complete the other courses over time to better understand various languages. I had 0 experience in coding and was afraid to take this class. But after my 3rd week, I'm so happy I took the first step to learning how to code with SheCodes! I'm learning what it takes to code and becoming closer to reaching my career goals.

This workshop was super fun and easy to follow. I like being able to put the skills learned into a portfolio to use for future employers. Matt walks you through step by step to help you create your project and makes learning to code fun. If you have taken the first 2 courses, don't hesitate to continue with this one. The skills and techniques you learn to make things responsive and more are well worth it!
