Creating this app was an exciting challenge that allowed me to apply what I’ve learned at SheCodes in a real and practical way. It reflects my growing skills in web development and my passion for building simple, user-friendly solutions.
I just finished building a World Clock Symphony - a fully functional web app with real-time weather data, cultural greetings in multiple languages, and even Spotify integration! What Made SheCodes Plus Different 🎯 Project-Based Learning: Every week, build toward something real. No boring theory - just hands-on coding that actually works. 🌍 Real-World Skills: I learned to work with APIs, handle user interactions, manage responsive design, and solve actual problems developers face daily. 💡 The "Aha!" Moments: Week 1 when I finally understood JavaScript functions. Week 3 when my first API call worked. Week 5 when everything clicked and I was building features I never thought possible. I built World Clock Symphony from the ground up—no frameworks, no teammates—just browser-native JavaScript, CSS, and APIs, from the Spotify API to the Shecodes Weather API—the result: a real-time, culturally intelligent global time tool designed for distributed teams and financial operators. Every feature was scoped with GTM intent—market hour overlays, cultural greetings, weather context, and even Spotify soundtracking. I designed, built, and shipped a full-stack front-end product while treating it like a real GTM motion: messaging, positioning, UX, performance, and differentiation.
The course was clear and well-structured, making it easy to grasp key concepts. I particularly enjoyed learning how to create responsive websites. It strengthened my foundation and deepened my interest in front-end development.

I thought this was a great addition for AI add on, It really helped learn more on how things all work.
Coming from HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Python's indentation-based structure felt so different - no more curly braces or semicolons! With JavaScript, I was used to seeing immediate visual changes in the browser, so Python felt more abstract at first. But its readability was amazing, and learning to think about data processing instead of just styling was a complete mental shift.
I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I needed to build a portfolio, and it was a wonderful surprise to find that this course was dedicated to creating a polished, responsive one from scratch. I'm thrilled with what I was able to build and so grateful for the skills I've gained. The SheCodes Team has created a fantastic, low-pressure way to learn, and I can't thank them enough!

This workshop explored AI capabilities and guided us in building a text-generating tool using an AI API. I built on my HTML, CSS, and JavaScript knowledge, learning about Prompt Engineering, JavaScript plugins, CSS manipulation via JS, and UX Design. Although I still find JavaScript more challenging than HTML and CSS, the workshop helped me grow in that area. Those confident in JavaScript may find it more straightforward.

Adding JavaScript to HTML was very interesting and more on the challenging side, but the instructor took it step by step and made everything possible. I didn't know I was capable until I put my mind to it. To more learning!

Building my SheCodes Add-On project was an experience of deep growth, creativity, and self-trust. This wasn’t just about writing code ,it was about learning to express my vision with clarity, structure, and elegance in the digital space. Through this workshop, I strengthened my understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but more importantly, I learned how to problem-solve, experiment, and bring ideas to life line by line. I used everything from layout techniques and font styling to hover effects, responsive image grids, and even dark mode toggles. Every challenge I faced taught me something new, not just technically, but personally. My final project, Mirembe Muse, is more than a landing page. It’s a visual love letter to the values I believe in: natural beauty, ancestral healing, and self-devotion. Watching it come together with code I wrote myself has been incredibly empowering. Great interactive way to learn the foundation of coding
I have learned a lot through SheCodes, and this is my third certificate. For this course, I built a Poem Generator — a fun and creative project that allowed me to apply my coding skills in a unique way. It was exciting to see how programming can be used to create art and express creativity through technology.
Taking this Python AI course has been an eye-opening experience. It was amazing to see how artificial intelligence and APIs can be accessed and integrated to build real, functional applications. Being able to create something interactive that responds with useful information...like weather, travel suggestions, and distances...made the learning process both exciting and rewarding. This project really showed me how powerful Python can be when combined with the right tools.
It's been great to finally complete the basics final project using all that i've learnt these past few weeks! Can't wait for more!
