CSS transforms, animations, grids, a full project built from scratch - it was a lot, but in the best way. By the end I felt more confident, genuinely surprised by what I could build, and really proud of my final project. If you've just finished SheCodes Basics, do the Add-on. It's the thing that makes everything click.

A solid, project-based intro to React — by the end I had a live, deployed weather app pulling real data, which felt worthwhile. I'll be honest that it was harder than expected: much of my time went into debugging and wrestling with setup rather than learning new concepts. It tested my patience, but working through those problems is probably where I learned the most. Worth knowing going in that the struggle with tooling and debugging is part of the process, not a sign you're doing it wrong.

I loved learning about the Api Integration, seeing real data flow into my project made everything feel more dynamic and alive. It really helped me understand how front‑end code connects with the world beyond the browser, and it made the whole development process even more exciting.

When I started to coded with The SheCodes courses, I was very curious, but also a little nervous because the world of programming seemed huge and complicated. However, from the very first lessons, I discovered a clear, practical, and friendly learning method that allowed me to progress step by step. In just 3 weeks, I went from being completely intimidated by code to building my own landing page from scratch. What surprised me the most is how fast it clicked. Every small win made me want to learn more. Now instead of feeling blocked, I feel like I've just opened a door I didn't know existed.

The SheCodes Responsive workshop was an excellent learning experience and a great step forward in my web development journey. I really enjoyed the SheCodes Basic workshop. 🤗 Before starting, I had almost no coding experience apart from occasionally working with developers and hearing technical terms at work. My goal wasn’t to become a developer, but to better understand how developers think and communicate, improve collaboration, and gain a stronger foundation when discussing features or reporting issues. While I still have a lot to learn, the workshop was a motivating first step that helped me understand the basics and made coding feel much less intimidating. 👍 I’m not a particularly fast learner, and I often went back to rewatch videos or review previous lessons. However, the course was structured in a way that allowed me to keep up and gradually build up knowledge. Kudos to Matt - he's a great teacher who explains concepts clearly and in an easy-to-understand manner. The short video lessons and well-structured weekly modules never felt overwhelming.✨ One of my favorite aspects of the workshop were the mini-assignments after most lessons. They encouraged me to actively actively use what I had just learned instead of only watching videos. While I still need to look up many things, I now have a much better understanding of the fundamentals and feel motivated to continue my SheCodes journey. 🙌

This was so much fun to do and figure out. I really enjoy how Matt makes learning easy and fun.

It took me some time to wrap my head around some concepts but the moment they click you realize how powerful this can be when you have a specific use case! I love the fact that we learn by repetition, it's so much new stuff that doing it once doesn't suffice but I think it's very useful and practical knowledge!

This was my first proper project with SheCodes and it was a huge milestone in my coding journey. Building a fully functional weather app gave me the opportunity to apply everything I had learned so far from HTML and CSS to JavaScript and working with APIs The project challenged me to think independently, troubleshoot issues, and find solutions when things didn't work as expected. I’m really proud of myself for completing the SheCodes React course. Before starting, React felt overwhelming and I struggled to understand how everything connected, especially working with components, state, and APIs. But step by step, the lessons helped me build real confidence. One of my biggest achievements was building my own weather app from scratch. I learned how to fetch live data using APIs, handle errors, and display dynamic content on the screen. I also got more comfortable debugging my code instead of giving up when things didn’t work. There were moments where I felt stuck and frustrated, but the course structure and practice projects kept me going. Now I can actually build and deploy a working React project, which I never thought I’d be able to do at the beginning. Overall, SheCodes didn’t just teach me React — it taught me how to think like a developer and believe in my ability to solve problems. I’m excited to keep building more projects and growing my skills from here.

I really enjoy these workshops. They are very easy to follow along, the lessons teach students how to build the code by breaking it down in a way that the logic just makes sense and the projects are a lot of fun as well as challenging, which let you wanting to learn a bit more each day. Also the extra info and explanations, resources and AI assistance are a plus.

I learned so much through this project and would highly recommend this beginner Python course. I had always assumed Python would be very complicated, but the course made it approachable and easy to follow. Matt’s calm and clear teaching style helped me feel comfortable with the basics much faster than I expected. Athena, the AI support tool, was also incredibly helpful. Whenever I was struggling to understand something, I could get immediate guidance instead of waiting. Athena helped me see where I had gone wrong and explained why another approach worked better. Matt is an excellent teacher who isn’t afraid to show when mistakes happen—something that makes the learning experience feel real and encouraging. Most importantly, he shows how to solve problems and learn from them. Overall, this is an A+ program.

The SheCodes Responsive Final Project was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my learning journey so far. Building a fully responsive, multi-page portfolio from scratch pushed me to bring together everything I had learned — HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and responsive design — and apply it in a real, meaningful way. I wanted my portfolio to reflect the same care and creativity I put into my chocolate business, and SheCodes gave me the tools and confidence to do exactly that. Seeing my website come to life — with a working navbar, floating cards, a projects showcase and a design system I built myself — was incredibly fulfilling. I had zero knowledge coming into Python and I had to learn the basics on this programming language. I learned the different elements of class used within python and that creating functions help keep the code organized and easier to read but it is not always easy. The little exercises provided in the course helped me learn about variables and how to use them to store, retrieve, and calculate information. The course provides a wealth of information that I still need time to digest but is a worthwhile endeavor given some practice and tips from the instructor and peers.

This has been my favourite workshop so far. I really enjoyed learning the different techniques used to create responsive websites and how to ensure they display effectively across a range of screen sizes, from mobile devices to larger desktop displays. Before starting this training I had very little knowledge of JavaScript and I have to say when finishing the final project I noticed how comfortable I feel with troubleshooting issues, finding what's not working and understanding where to look for issues. It's not ideal for everyone, if you rather rely on someone to help it might be challenging but if you like to figure things out on your own it's a wonderful way to learn!

SheCodes Basics Add-On is a great addition to the SheCodes Basics programme. It teaches extra techniques that can take your webpage from basic to incredible.
