Learning Python with SheCodes has been a great experience. The lessons were easy to follow, and the projects made everything feel practical and fun. This one was challenging, and it's easy to get disheartened when your code does not work but with patience, resilience, and consistency, I was able to finally complete the workshop. Although I had moments of great frustration, this workshop was very fun and fulfilling.

Working on this dictionary app has been such a rewarding experience! It’s super cool to bring together multiple APIs — from dictionary definitions and phonetics audio to fetching beautiful images from Pexels — all in one smooth, interactive React app. I loved learning how to handle async data fetching, manage state with hooks, and build reusable components that really work together seamlessly. Plus, integrating audio playback with a little speaker icon was fun! This project gave me solid, hands-on experience with real-world API integration and React best practices. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to level up their frontend skills in a practical, engaging way.

Another fun project building a world clock step by step.

This workshop is great. It is challenging but fun, at the same time. I learned a lot about CSS, HTML and Javascript. I really liked learning about Javascript. I plan to take more SheCodes workshops.

I wanted to make a slightly whimsical weather app, with a CSS design in shades of purple. I also used some animations of sun and moon emoticons to add visual interest. This SheCodes module has been great for better understanding and using JavaScript, especially functions. My favourite part was customising the app with my own style.

I loved this project. We have family all over the world, so it was fun to do this project and show it to my children, who could appreciate the meaning of the different time zones and how it linked to different members of our family. I recall Matt saying that at some point things will start to 'click' and this was the project where I really felt this.

Completing the SheCodes Plus Add‑on has been a really rewarding experience that helped me deepen my understanding of front‑end development in a practical, hands‑on way. Over the two weeks, I learned how to work with more advanced JavaScript concepts and apply them to build a fully functional World Clock application. In Week 1, I explored new HTML input types and select elements, which helped me understand how to create more interactive and user‑friendly forms. I also learned how to use JavaScript timing events, work with different date formats, and handle global time zones — all skills that felt technical at first but became much clearer through the structured lessons and challenges. Week 2 brought everything together through the World Clock project. I built the layout using HTML and CSS, then added JavaScript to display the time for single and multiple locations, update the clock in real time, and show the user’s local time. Seeing the project come to life step by step really boosted my confidence and showed me how these individual skills combine to create something polished and functional. The Plus Add‑on has strengthened my understanding of advanced JavaScript and improved my ability to build interactive features from scratch. It was a lot of fun to learn Python in connection with AI on a project basis. With each task, the project was expanded and optimized until the final project week. It was explained in an easy and understandable way. It was also great that what I learned in the Python Basic course could be deepened in the Python AI course through further application and development. I am taking a lot away from the course and am looking forward to continuing.

SheCodes React takes you from React-curious to confident. Beginner-friendly yet challenging, it focuses on hands-on projects that look professional and impress recruiters. I started with very limited React experience and a lot of imposter syndrome. Terms like components, props, state, and API integration felt foreign. SheCodes made these concepts click, giving me the confidence to actually build with React. Lessons aren’t just theory. From the first module, you’re building real projects—reusable components, API calls, and live data fetching. By the end, I had a fully functional weather app in my portfolio, which was incredibly motivating.

The React Add-On project is a fantastic test of logic. It challenges you to manage multiple components and API data flows without over-engineering or creating messy code. While the complexity of nesting components can be intimidating at first, the real fun begins once you understand the 'why' behind the structure. It’s a rewarding experience that proves anyone can succeed in React if they focus on clean data flow and organized components.

SheCodes workshop is a great place to learn coding and Matt is an excellent teacher. He teaches coding in a systematic, interesting and fun way. I've really enjoyed learning coding, I feel have learnt a lot and I had fun along the way. I can say now that I can code. Looking forward to learning more... Fun to build another weather application with some new tools.

SheCodes plus was fun at the same time challenging. I felt stuck on functions but with God everything is possible.

I started SheCodes with absolutely no coding background, and I was honestly nervous at first. But SheCodes made everything so fun, clear, and easy to follow. The lessons are well structured, the explanations make sense, and I never felt overwhelmed. Step by step, my confidence grew, and now I genuinely feel confident in my coding skills. I took a holiday break right before starting React, and when I jumped back in, I felt zero pressure to rush! I was able to take my time truly understanding the key concepts and what makes React such a powerful library. It makes learning so much more fun when you realize you have such an incredible tool to use alongside vanilla JavaScript. Learning both is absolutely worth it!

Fun little AI project.

Designing a dark theme was a fun and motivating experience. It allowed me to think ahead about future improvements and encouraged me to learn more about different styling approaches and how they are implemented in code. I also enjoyed experimenting with animations alongside the dark theme, which helped me explore how small interactive details can improve the user experience. Although working with JavaScript can be challenging to understand when writing it, it motivates me to keep practising and improving my understanding of how functions work, as it has the potential to do so much. Thank you to Matt and the team for providing clear explanations that were easy to follow.

Absolutely loved this! With the skills I've learned over the last few weeks alone, I've been able to put together a really nice looking, interactive landing page complete with functions and animations. I didn't expect to achieve this much so quickly! I'm excited to learn more.

This was a tough one, but I'm thrilled to have completed this workshop. I learned so much, but most importantly, I have learned patience. I loved this workshop; it was challenging, but once I understood and took the code block by block, it became fun to work with the data.

There's a lot of information, but the lessons are very bite-sized so it's easy to take a break when you need to or go back and find the specific directions for one thing you learned if need be. The challenges are fun to complete and help you see progress in real time as you learn. Matt's a great teacher and everything is very clear - even for those like me who have never programmed!

It was great to learn more about how to integrate and use AI in the project. It was a fun project and I have learnt a lot.

Fun projects that are easy to understand.

This has been my favorite one thus far! Learning how websites work to fit on various devices was extremely interesting. I had a lot of fun with this as it felt like I was working with puzzle pieces to ensure things fit properly

Learning Python Basics was really fun! Matt explained everything clearly and in an easy-to-understand way. Creating projects from scratch and then developing them further lesson by lesson is a great way to review what you've learned and see your own progress. The given free resources for further reading and diving deeper into topics such as Python code formatting were also very helpful! The SheCodes team and community were always there to answer questions, to give feedback and to cheer you on. :)

This course was fun and while the final project was challenging e.g. getting each city's local time zone to work, fixing Netlify and GeoNames after I exceeded free limits, designing and getting my weather emoticons animation to work, etc... I have learned a lot in the process and it sure is great to finally complete my Wonky weather app.

Taking the SheCodes React course has been such a transformative experience! Building my weather app with a 5-day forecast really pushed me to apply best practices and think carefully about component structure, state management, and responsive design. Compared to my previous projects, this one feels much more polished and professional, and I now feel confident creating interactive React apps. The lessons are clear, practical, and the projects make learning fun — I can’t wait to keep building more complex apps!

Building this World Clock project has been an incredible and rewarding challenge. It allowed me to significantly deepen my JavaScript skills, especially in working with complex time zones and external libraries like Moment.js. Learning how to manipulate the DOM to update the time in real-time and seeing the design come together with CSS Flexbox has given me much more confidence as a front-end developer. I am proud of the final result and the clean, functional interface I've created!

My dictionary App was so fun for me to build - It was so interesting watching all the components come together slowly. In the end I built an App that I am so proud of.

Advanced Python was definitely ADVANCED compared to the Basics. I learned so much, and I am so excited to add my work to my portfolio. I enjoyed learning how to make graphs, and functions are becoming more and more understandable as I continue practicing. I will definitely look for ways to extend my learning of Python while working toward a new career in backend development.

In this project, I created an interactive web page about Ballet Dance using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. HTML was used to structure the content, including headings, images, buttons, and text. CSS was used to style the page and improve its appearance. I applied CSS Grid to display images in a responsive gallery and used CSS transformations and transitions to add hover effects and smooth animations. These features make the page more engaging and visually appealing. I also implemented a dark theme toggle using JavaScript. By clicking a button, users can switch between light mode and dark mode. The selected theme is saved using localStorage, allowing the preference to remain even after refreshing the page. JavaScript was further used to add simple interactivity, such as an alert message when clicking the “Learn Ballet” button. Overall, this project demonstrates my understanding of basic front-end web development concepts and my ability to combine structure, styling, and interactivity into a functional and user friendly webpage
