The SheCodes Python Basics course was a fantastic learning experience. When I started to coded with The SheCodes courses, I was very curious, but also a little nervous because the world of programming seemed huge and complicated. However, from the very first lessons, I discovered a clear, practical, and friendly learning method that allowed me to progress step by step. Throughout this journey, I not only learned technical concepts such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the fundamentals of web development, I also gained a deeper understanding of how everything works together in real-world situations. As I progressed through the lessons, I started looking at websites from a completely different perspective: I could analyze their structure, understand how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript interact simultaneously, and appreciate the logic behind what I used to see as just a functioning webpage. What makes me happiest about this experience is realizing that, with dedication and consistency, it is possible to learn something that once seemed so challenging. Every challenge I completed and every project I built felt like a small victory that motivated me to keep learning and growing. I am incredibly grateful to the entire SheCodes team for this opportunity and for inspiring me to continue exploring the world of technology. I really enjoyed the SheCodes Basic workshop. 🤗 Before starting, I had almost no coding experience apart from occasionally working with developers and hearing technical terms at work. My goal wasn’t to become a developer, but to better understand how developers think and communicate, improve collaboration, and gain a stronger foundation when discussing features or reporting issues. While I still have a lot to learn, the workshop was a motivating first step that helped me understand the basics and made coding feel much less intimidating. 👍 I’m not a particularly fast learner, and I often went back to rewatch videos or review previous lessons. However, the course was structured in a way that allowed me to keep up and gradually build up knowledge. Kudos to Matt - he's a great teacher who explains concepts clearly and in an easy-to-understand manner. The short video lessons and well-structured weekly modules never felt overwhelming.✨ One of my favorite aspects of the workshop were the mini-assignments after most lessons. They encouraged me to actively actively use what I had just learned instead of only watching videos. While I still need to look up many things, I now have a much better understanding of the fundamentals and feel motivated to continue my SheCodes journey. 🙌

This was my first proper project with SheCodes and it was a huge milestone in my coding journey. Building a fully functional weather app gave me the opportunity to apply everything I had learned so far from HTML and CSS to JavaScript and working with APIs The project challenged me to think independently, troubleshoot issues, and find solutions when things didn't work as expected. Seeing the app come together step by step and eventually work with live weather data was incredibly rewarding What I appreciated the most about SheCodes was the balance between clear explanations and hands-on practice. Instead of just learning theory, I was able to build a real project that I can confidently add to my portfolio. Completing this weather app has given me much more confidence in my coding abilities and has motivated me to keep learning and building new projects I would highly recommend SheCodes to anyone looking for a practical and supportive way to learn web development, it was an amazing experience 😊👩‍💻

All of the tutorials are easy to follow as usual. But often I got stuck at JS, so I'm gonna take my sweet little time to understand it thoroughly. Overall, it's such a fun project to work on and improve.

I really enjoy these workshops. They are very easy to follow along, the lessons teach students how to build the code by breaking it down in a way that the logic just makes sense and the projects are a lot of fun as well as challenging, which let you wanting to learn a bit more each day. Also the extra info and explanations, resources and AI assistance are a plus.

I had zero knowledge coming into Python and I had to learn the basics on this programming language. I learned the different elements of class used within python and that creating functions help keep the code organized and easier to read but it is not always easy. The little exercises provided in the course helped me learn about variables and how to use them to store, retrieve, and calculate information. The course provides a wealth of information that I still need time to digest but is a worthwhile endeavor given some practice and tips from the instructor and peers.

With the current lesson structure, studying coding was so much fun! From introductions to homework, from challenges to projects — it felt like moving step by step. I highly recommend it if you want to enjoy coding with little to no prior experience."

This has been my favourite workshop so far. I really enjoyed learning the different techniques used to create responsive websites and how to ensure they display effectively across a range of screen sizes, from mobile devices to larger desktop displays. The AI workshop was a really fun and practical introduction to building with AI, encouraging creativity and independent problem solving. Creating my own AI Travel Mood Generator made the learning experience feel very real and rewarding. AI project was fun. A bit challenging and glitchy. I'm excited to learn more about how the API is created to understand more how the AI is actually generated or created.

SheCodes Responsive teaches you how to build websites and flexible layouts in a way that finally makes them click. Challenging at times, but that's what makes it rewarding. The project was genuinely fun to build, and watching it adapt across every screen size felt like a real win. Bringing together everything I learned and watching it adapt beautifully across devices felt like a real achievement.

Python was challenging, exciting, new and fun for me! I enjoyed being able to use the more analytical side of my brain to meet each challenge! I look forward to moving on to incorporating AI with my Python knowledge.

Amid the numerous graduation ceremonies happening this month, I’m thrilled to officially announce my “graduation” from the SheCodes Front-End Development program. This has been an immensely rewarding journey, as both a technical achievement and a personal milestone. Along the way, I've found striking similarities between the tech and music worlds: both demand discipline, the ability to navigate complex technical challenges, and harnessing the creativity to produce something that is not only functional, but thoughtful and well-crafted. What began as a personal challenge (to prove to myself that I could step confidently into the role of “tech girlie”) quickly strengthened my resourcefulness, persistence, and confidence in my ability to learn and build. I’m incredibly grateful to Matt Delac and the SheCodes team for creating such a comprehensive and engaging program, and for fostering a community that continues to support and empower women in tech!

Just finished another SheCodes project, and I really enjoyed it! It was fun and challenging in the best way, and at the same time, easy to follow and understand. I am excited to keep learning and building more projects here.

To be totally honest, this session was definitely a challenge for me and pushed me out of my comfort zone. But looking back at where I started, I can honestly say it helped me grow so much. Everything finally came together, and I have a much clearer understanding of how coding actually works now. Seeing my landing page come together from a blank skeleton into something fully functional, styled, and animated feels amazing. I look forward to using my skills for the greater good in future.

The World Clock project was such a great learning experience! I loved building a real-world project using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while learning how to work with different time zones and live updates. Deploying my project on Netlify and connecting it to GitHub made me feel much more confident as a developer. Fun and challenging addition to the Plus course

The SheCodes Add-on was a fun and creative experience. I enjoyed learning how to use CSS Grid, animations, and dark/light themes to build an interactive landing page that reflects my love for reading.

This has been a fun project to work on. I got to learn how to work with different plugins that make JavaScript so much easier to work with.

Matt showed a fun way of working with AI within Python. It was very easy to follow and understand how to code.

Another great workshop I could complete in consideration of my own schedule. I was a little hesitant since it had been some time since I last looked at front-end coding but turns out I still had it in me, every time I complete a workshop I feel a little more confident than last time. Thoroughly enjoyed the lessons provided, direction is clear and videos are straightforward. This was a fun add-on.

Learning how to integrate AI into JavaScript is so cool and so much fun. It definitely does help "cut" some corners with the web development. Also, learning a few new tricks, such as, adding in animations and the "hidden" feature makes the page look a lot nicer.

It was a fun project

Working on responsive design completely changed the way I see web development. I learned how important it is to create experiences that feel smooth and beautiful on every screen size, not just on desktop. Responsive design made me appreciate the balance between creativity and functionality, and it’s one of the parts of front-end development I enjoy the most.

Plus Add-on workshop was really fun! I got to dive into the world of time zones and date formatting, which I honestly found fascinating. There is something satisfying about seeing a clock tick in real time on a page you built yourself. I loved working with moment.js and building my World Clock app. It felt like a real project that I could actually use and show off in friends and family.

I really enjoyed the SheCodes program. It exposed me to coding for the first time, which sparked my curiosity and shaped my perspective as a developer. While I discovered that I love and enjoy backend development more, I’m truly grateful to Matt and the SheCodes team for teaching me frontend fundamentals. Their guidance gave me the foundation I needed to explore deeper technical challenges and grow into the developer I am today.

Another great challenge with more complex functions to play around with. The course gave the basics and was up to me to research and trial different things to get what I wanted as an end product. The use of AI definitely helps and the combination of AI help plus understanding the basics turns the learning process into a more personalised experience.
