Making a fully functional weather forecast seemed quite intimidating at first, but with the lessons it was quite easy to take it step by step and make something you can be proud of!
This workshop was based on the skills I learned in the SheCodes Plus workshop and I ended up creating a brand new project with advanced JavaScipt and interactions for users to enjoy. Thank you SheCodes, building a world clock was so fun and really excited to see the "how to's" in building a cool feature!
Taking the SheCodes Web Development course has been an amazing journey. I learned how to structure websites with HTML, style them beautifully using CSS, and bring them to life with JavaScript. The projects were practical and fun, and I could immediately see the progress I was making.

The short instructional videos make everything feel manageable. Long, dry lessons can cause people to lose interest, but SheCodes keeps learning fun, engaging, and accessible to everyone. Being able to apply what you learn right away makes the process easier and far more enjoyable.

It was so cool to learn how to build a search enginee with all of its functions. Fun and challenging that in the end worked out! I feel more confident with coding after this React Add-on.

Before starting SheCodes, I had zero knowledge of coding. The course was perfect for me because I could learn at my own paceβwhether that meant a slow and delayed start or speeding up when my life allowed. By the end of the course, I was able to code a webpage using the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I would absolutely recommend SheCodes to other women. It creates the same comfortable, empowering environment as a "females only" gym. You never have to worry about feeling "less than" or uncomfortable when asking for helpβit's a supportive space where you can learn without judgment.

Working on my 'AI Daily Challenge Generator' project has been an amazing experience. I wanted to build something that not only pushed my coding skills but also helped others stay motivated to learn new things every day. Integrating the AI API wasnβt easy, but I have learned so much along the way and it really stretched my problem-solving skills. Through this AI generator project, I explored AI tools, strengthened my coding abilities, and learned how to turn a simple idea into a functional project. Iβm really proud of what I was able to create with the step-by-step instructions of the wonderful teacher Matt Delac and I'm very excited that others can now use my daily challenge generator to get inspired too!
I learned a lot during this workshop. The final project that you slowly work towards completing is a lot of fun and very engaging. The step by step process makes it easy to pick things up as you learn more and build on existing skills. Everything is so well organized, it's very easy to go back to find anything you need to review again.

I find the work really challenging but also fun. The hours go by so quickly when Iβm coding and trying to debug my code. Sometimes I spend one hour searching, only to discover that a tiny bracket was missing, which meant my line of code wasnβt closed properly and the whole program was broken: nothing was happening. Coding definitely requires patience and an eye for detail. I enjoyed this workshop because we built the clock step by step, and it also reinforced techniques we had used in previous workshops.
I love working with AI, and Plus AI makes it feel effortless. Each step of the learning process is clear and rewarding, from writing my first lines of Python all the way through building a fully functional AI-driven app. It feels incredible to watch my skills grow in real time. As a complete beginner in coding, I struggled with Python basics. But the hands-on exercises and the interactive weather app project helped me adapt to the syntax rules and order. Learning JavaScript has definitely been challenging, but the course has met and even exceeded my expectations. Working through projects like the weather app pushed me out of my comfort zone, but also gave me the chance to really understand how functions, APIs, and the DOM come together. Itβs not always easy, but seeing my code come to life makes all the effort worth it, and I feel much more confident moving forward.
I came to SheCodes Basics with a frustrating problem: I could copy and paste code snippets and make things work, but I had no real understanding of why they worked or how to fix them when they broke. I was essentially a code copier, not a programmer. This surface-level approach left me constantly hitting walls. When something didn't work as expected, I'd spend hours trying random solutions from Stack Overflow without understanding the underlying logic. I could build functional pages by piecing together tutorials, but debugging felt like pure guesswork. SheCodes Basics changed that completely. Matt's teaching approach focuses on the "why" behind every concept, not just the "how." Instead of just showing us syntax, he explained the reasoning behind HTML structure, the cascade in CSS, and the logic flow in JavaScript. This foundational understanding was exactly what I'd been missing.Now when I encounter issues, I can methodically identify where things are going wrong instead of randomly trying solutions. I understand the connection between HTML structure and CSS selectors, why JavaScript functions behave certain ways, and how different parts of a webpage interact with each other. Building the tribute website for my Akita Inu, Sakura, became an exercise in applying these debugging skills in real time. When the background image wouldn't display or the responsive layout broke, I could systematically work through the problem instead of panicking. SheCodes didn't just teach me to code better - it taught me to think like a developer and search and solve problems with logic rather than luck.
The course was hands-on, engaging, and incredibly funβespecially with an instructor who made even the complex parts feel approachable. I built an AI-powered recipe generator from scratch, and every stepβfrom designing the interface to connecting the APIβwas a blast. I gained practical skills and confidence, and Iβm excited to keep building even more creative projects!

I'm so happy that I have another coding language I can add to my repertoire, I had a lot of fun learning this. There were so many links to javascript, much easier to pick this up this time around.
Loved this! Learning more about forms, how to utilize them and how to inject time and timezones was a lot fun. I will say it again repetition as well as trial and error are what help you retain the knowledge. When it gets challenging, taking a deep breath, water break or whatever helps you and then go through your code step-by-step and you will figure it out. π

I found this Coding Challenge very fun. Challenging...but fun, I got frustrated when the API Key wasn't working but i'm so happy that my code is seamless.

I am very thrilled to have finished my course. It took a lot from me but Matt Delac's guidance I was able to complete the course. I have learnt a lot and upskilled myself. Now I am able to work with API which was one the interesting lessons I have touched. Not mentioning that I know now how to deploy my work Netlify and also use GitHub which is fun and very interesting. I walk away with so much knowledge and a smile on myself because I was patient with myself and was able to do it. During the She Codes advanced Python course, I really enjoyed learning how to work with data and create graphs. It was fun to actually visualize the information in a way that made sense. At the same time, I found it quite challenging to manage lists and dictionaries correctly and to make sure the indentation was right, since that often affects how the code runs. Overall, the course pushed me to think more carefully about how my code is structured, and I feel proud of what I was able to build. This course challenged me to be more thoughtful about code structure and best practices, and Iβm proud of the projects I completed.
