Super fun and challenging!
For me, it was too much trial and error while doing CSS & JS specially. It creates mental pressure and tension to deliver close to your best in the homework's. I guess this happens when your brain starts learning something new and wants to be good in it at the same time. Overall, It was really fun to do small small challenging tasks. Moreover, keeping an open mind that lessons probably be difficult in the next level. Thank you
This course was a super fun challenge, learning how to make applications responsive without using frameworks such as Bootstrap. The SheCodes team is always very responsive and ready to help when needed. I definitely recommend this course!
I really enjoyed learning Python basics with SheCodes. The lessons were clear, well-structured, and easy to follow, even as a beginner. I learned important fundamentals like variables, functions, conditionals, and loops, and I especially enjoyed applying these concepts by building a weather app. The hands-on exercises made the learning process engaging and practical.
Another fun course! It was fun to build and learn. The progression of topics to learn was well thought out and concepts build well on top of each other.
Before I joined shecodes..I had an idea of coding however I would not be able to finish a page without googling or checking through some sites however, I now fully understand most elements and can code off head that to in just minutes unlike before where I would take hours trying to perfect a page. I thoroughly enjoyed the course from beginning to end. It was my first time working with React, and I found it to be an incredible tool. During the project, I developed a complete website where I integrated several functionalities: definition searches, synonyms, antonyms, phonetic transcription, and illustrative images for each word. I really enjoyed the challenge of connecting APIs, managing state, and designing an intuitive interface. I'm leaving the course eager to continue creating more projects.

Creating the weather application from scratch was definitely fun but it can be tricky if you aren't paying close attention to detail with javascript. Overall, learning the more advanced steps to integrate the forecast through JavaScript instead of going through HTML was pretty cool to learn.
I came to SheCodes with the knowledge I had learned from playing around with MySpace and Tumblr templates and got to understand the fundamentals of all three languages and more than anything an appreciation for my favorite websites. I appreciated how each lesson was built on the previous one and that helped me to retain the information in a consistent format.
The SheCodes Basic course provided me the fundamentals to start my coding journey. The workshops were easy to follow and the projects were practical. Excited to keep going on my coding journey and continue developing my skills!

The SheCodes React course has been an incredible six weeks. Matt has a rare ability to take complex concepts and make them feel approachable, always guiding you through the journey step by step, no matter the challenge. What excited me most was discovering a completely new way of thinking about code. Learning to build with components, manage state, map through live data, and structure a full component tree unlocked a new level of thinking about how web products are built. The moment things started clicking β functions inside functions, components talking to each other β was really satisfying. React made me want to keep building. That says everything about how much this course inspired me. A huge thank you to Matt and the SheCodes team for yet another rewarding and eye-opening learning experience. I cannot wait to keep exploring how far React can take me.

Such a fun project. It's incredibly motivating seeing how far I've come from when I started the course to now being able to build an entire responsive website and though it has its tough moments, it doesn't feel impossible anymore.

It was a fun workshop, really enjoyed creating my own landing page.
This project has helped me reinforce my existing programming knowledge and take a closer look at React. Specifically, it helped me with: Practising project organisation: deciding what should be a component and identifying the main file where all the pieces come together. Understanding the purpose of hooks: useState() and useEffect(). Making API calls (SheCodes Weather API). Practising JSX (HTML with JS). Deepening my understanding of styling and experimenting with color palettes. A few years ago I built a weather app with vanilla JS and found it quite tedious. Back then I also paid little attention to styling. I just wanted it to work. Now, with a solid grasp of the fundamentals and using React, which simplifies the code considerably, I was able to focus much more on UX/UI. Overall, a very worthwhile course. It has its complexity. React, API calls, asynchronous functions but the project is small enough that the architecture never becomes overwhelming.
Fun workshop! The hands-on project improved my coding skills in CSS, HTML and Javascript. The lesson is an easy to follow structure. Highly recommend!
All in all, really fun and challenging.
I enjoyed this workshop and learning how to integrate APIs with Python in Google Colab. It was a great review of connecting an AI API into a project. One challenge I ran into was the APIβs limit on output length. When I tried to create a more detailed and fun itinerary, the results would get cut off for trips longer than about 3 days. After troubleshooting, I simplified the format to keep everything running smoothly. Overall, it was a fun project and a great refresher on working with AI and APIs.

This workshop was lots of fun. I've come out with a real appreciation for the utility of open API's! As rightly mentioned repeatedly throughout the course, there's certainly a learning curve for every API. Additionally, some are objectively much better and more user friendly than others! However, once you've deciphered them, the possibilities are endless. I'm also a converted mega fan of React, as I think the developers have done a fantastic job of interpolating JavaScript into HTML in such a way that is a lot more intuitive and user friendly! I've come away from this course with a really cool set of new skills and I can't wait to test them out and improve!
Iβm really happy to have finished the SheCodes Plus program! It was such a fun and rewarding experience where I got to improve my JavaScript skills, work with APIs, and build my own weather app. I loved how hands-on everything was, and it really helped me feel more confident writing code and solving problems on my own. Python advanced was extremely fun.. Although there were some moments I was on fire with the assignments, at times it was a bit challenging. Ready for the next courses to start!!
This was admittedly a challenging workshop, but extremely worth it! I'm really pleased with my final project. As with all the previous workshops, the guidance and support from the team was excellent. Matt does a really great job of breaking things down in order to explain the "plumbing" of how a react app works and describing what the code is doing at certain stages, (such as in the case of how the props are passing through to the other components and how the useStates help to set and define the data for further functions to operate). It made it really accessible and digestible to someone who still feels relatively new to coding!
In these workshops I could learn many different thing about coding that can help me have fun of coding and improving.

I had a lot of fun with the SheCodes Plus add-on course. Working on the world clock project, I ended up building a carousel to display the cities in a more user-friendly way, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It was especially interesting to learn how to use Moment.js, as it made handling dates way easier and less frustrating.
What a ride! I started with zero knowledge of coding and am now capable of creating a landing page from scratch! π€© I still have a lot to learn of course but I feel like this course has given me a strong foundation to build on. I found the learning units well designed and the exercises very helpful to cement the new inputs given. Also I had a lot of fun playing with CSS, it was perfect for expressing my creativity! π©βπ¨ I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to try coding!

You will need a lot of supplemental studying and self-teaching to understand React. This course moves too fast. I'd strongly recommend taking this course immediately after SheCodes Plus. If you complete the Python course first, you risk forgetting the JavaScript fundamentals you need here.
I really enjoyed SheCodes Responsive. It was a lot of fun learning how to make websites responsive, build multi-page websites, and create my own portfolio. I also liked learning more about Bootstrap, Flexbox, and media queries. It helped me feel more confident and excited about building websites on my own.

Through SheCodes Basics, I discovered my interest in coding and built my first real projects using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This experience strengthened my problem-solving skills and sparked my passion for tech.This experience strengthened my problem-solving skills and gave me confidence in writing clean, functional code. Iβm excited to keep building, learning, and growing as a developer.
This course taught me how to think about layout. How to look at a design and ask: what happens to this on a phone? On a tablet? That shift in mindset was worth everything. Also I dug a little bit deeper and found out that respsonsiveness can be actually much easier with clamp() function, which clamps a value within a range of values between a defined minimum bound and a maximum bound. By the end, I had built a fully responsive travel page for my homecity Kharkiv from scratch - with a fluid navbar, a gallery grid, cafΓ© cards, embedded maps, and a currency converter. Now I know I can build anything, and make it look great on every screen.
Completing the SheCodes Python Basics course has been a really rewarding experience that helped me build a strong foundation in programming. Over the eight weeks, I learned how to work with variables, functions, loops, conditionals, lists, and user input, and I began exploring how Python can interact with real data through APIs. She Code has been a great space for me to refine and strengthen my coding fundamentals. Through building multiple websites, Iβve been able to sharpen my skills while exploring opportunities in freelancing. I appreciate the practical, hands-on approach, which allows me to continuously improve and apply what Iβve learned in real-world scenarios.
I could write HTML and CSS, but deploying a project felt like a wall I couldn't climb. Eight weeks of SheCodes changed that. I went from having code that only lived on my laptop to a fully functional weather app β live on the internet, pulling real API data, with a 5-day forecast. SheCodes taught me how to bring everything together: APIs, JavaScript, and actually getting your work out into the world. If you know the basics but keep stopping at 'how do I ship this?' β this is for you.
