Really useful for updating your portfolio!

I really enjoyed this introduction to coding! As a UX Designer, I want to understand the coding side of everything more so I can communicate better with developers. My ultimate goal would be to become a Front End Developer or a UX Developer to incorporate the creative with the technical side of coding that I find so fun! I'm looking forward to continuing on my learning journey with SheCodes.

My experience with this workshop has been really positive. I liked the lessons because they were clear and easy to follow, even when I felt a bit lost sometimes. I learned things I never thought I could understand, and I feel more confident now. Thank you for creating a friendly space to learn.

Worth investing

I really enjoyed this one

The process was easy to follow thanks to the helpful video tutorial.

I focused on learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I enjoyed HTML and CSS the most because I already knew the basics, and it was exciting to create layouts and style pages. JavaScript was more challenging for me, but it pushed me to think differently. Even though I struggled a bit, I can already see improvement, and I’m confident that with practice and consistency, I will master it.

Very cool to test AI APIs.

So fun learning Python and Matt is such an easy person to follow along with in the videos. Looking forward to learning more.

This add on was a great way to refresh my skills a couple years after I took SheCodes Basic workshop. I enjoyed the whole process and all the tutorials were easy to follow. I highly recommend any SheCodes class to any woman looking to break into the coding industry.

This has been the most exciting and insightful workshop so far! I can't wait to continue learning more about Python, it is by far my favorite language.

SheCodes React Add On took my projects to the next level with real API data and advanced components.I learned how to structure professional React apps with confidence. This course truly prepared me for real world front end development!

A valuable workshop with yet more complexity and new challenges. I really enjoyed learning how to embed maps, videos and social media to a web page and making it responsive. I created a page with multiple sections and used grids to organise the content. It was satisfying to produce a professional standard site and use industry tools. Excellent instruction, guidance and team support when needed. I am building the confidence in fixing bugs when they occur.

Joining SheCodes has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my tech journey. The workshops are practical, empowering, and beginner-friendly, and they’ve helped me realize that I’m capable of creating beautiful, functional projects. I now feel inspired to continue exploring the world of coding.

If you know the interface of the platform you're telling students to use changes constantly, why do you keep promoting it? It took me longer to find the Replit tools needed to complete the tasks than to actually do them...

This was a great programme and I'm looking forward to the next ones!

Interesting and useful!

This was a great addition to the Responsive workshop. We were taught the manual way of making a page responsive. Everything that Bootstrap and other platforms enable was done manually in this workshop and I appreciate that. It's good to know both so that you know what to apply when. It's also good to know so that if something is not functioning properly you have options. The project was a lot of fun!

Taking the SheCodes course has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my personal and professional growth. Very well structured course, including the summary of all the key coding concepts in the resources section. Good introduction to front-end coding.

I really enjoyed the end result, even though I struggled with React at first. Once the concept of components clicked, I was able to fully grasp how everything works and started making real progress. The course was well-structured, with clear explanations and hands-on projects that made learning practical and fun. It’s satisfying to see the apps I built come to life, and I feel much more confident in my React skills now. Highly recommend for anyone willing to push through the initial learning curve!

Before SheCodes, I was intrigued by coding but didn't have a cleat path. The curriculum's structure and the mentorship gave me the confidence and skills to build real application. I will forever be grateful for this programme.

This course has elevated my coding skills to an advanced level! I'm in love with learning the Japanese language and I've been practicing Japanese since January 2025. I enjoy learning a whole different alphabet and I found Japanese to be the easiest language and alphabet to learn compared to other languages. My project consists of the Japanese language and culture.

After such a long break! I have finally come back to shecodes and im so glad I did. It is so fun to see what you've learnt in the projects set for you and the homework! Can learn at your own pace however i will continue to be consistent, think its more beneficial and helpful if you keep the momentum. Cant wait to go onto the next course now!

Taking the SheCodes Plus Add-on honestly felt like leveling up in the best way. The World Clock project pushed me in all the right ways. It was challenging, but also genuinely fun. You know that moment when your code finally works and you just sit there smiling at your screen? Yeah… I had a few of those. 😁 I really appreciated how clearly everything was explained. Even in those “wait… what is going on?” moments, I still felt supported and motivated to keep going. By the time I wrapped up the World Clock, I wasn’t just typing code. I actually understood what I was doing, why it worked, and how to make it my own. This add-on didn’t just teach me new JavaScript skills. It reminded me that I can learn tough things and enjoy the journey while I’m at it.

I really enjoyed this course though it was challenging. It was fun to build weather app from scratch and push through the challenges.

Things have progressively gotten more challenging, but the instructions by Matt have been very easy to follow. I've loved learning about Python, it is so interesting.

SheCodes Basics Add-On helped me take my coding skills to the next level. I loved the exercises and how everything was explained step-by-step. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants more hands-on experience!

This was by far the hardest of the langauges i've had to learn. But I'm glad and my app is currenlty working.

This was the most fun I've had in a while! After learning so many new things in the previous courses, this project reminded me of the power of pure HTML and CSS. Being able to build a website without JavaScript was really satisfying! Diving into CSS Grids, HTML tables, and figuring out how to make it all responsive was incredibly fun and rewarding!

The SheCodes Responsive Add-On challenged me in the best way possible. I struggled initially with HTML structure, specifically fixing div closures and getting card layouts with embedded maps to display consistently. The course's hands-on approach forced me to debug real issues, which taught me more than any tutorial could. What clicked for me: understanding grid systems, properly nesting elements, and making design decisions that showcase technical skills to recruiters. I went from copying instructor code to confidently customising my project with Nairobi's innovation ecosystem, complete with iHub co-working spaces and strategic content that demonstrates product marketing thinking. The freedom to personalise my project while learning responsive fundamentals made this course incredibly practical. If you want to build portfolio-worthy work while mastering responsive design, this course delivers.

Developing the AI French Poem Generator was a crucial milestone in my learning process. More than just applying HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, this project allowed me to dive into Artificial Intelligence API integration for the first time. It demonstrates my ability to consume external data and create applications that generate dynamic content effectively. It was an excellent opportunity to understand how AI tools can be integrated into Front-End projects to create innovative and interactive experiences.

Wow! SheCodes Basics Add-on completely exceeded my expectations!
