It was a Hard an Fun experience, for some one who do not know anything about coding, to do what I just did , is mind blowing.
I took this starter class as part of my professional development as a brand manager. I have dabbled very lightly in HTML and a little bit of CSS in the past but nothing too in-depth. I, like many other students, found the course structure very helpful! With as complex a topic as this, Matt does an excellent job of breaking down the different skills in very digestible chunks. The lesson videos are never more than 10 minutes or so, and he provides so many resources to find help, connect with other students, or learn the basic tools that are industry standards. The way he walked through each video was also very encouraging and I never felt dumb. I honestly found the course not too challenging (not to say I didn't get slightly held up at points) which I think is a testament to how well taught it is. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team!
This one was a little more difficult as the videos are outdated and you don't realise until you have installed everything on your laptop. Only realised because I asked chatgpt what was going wrong. Also, hard to follow along as the new vite has different props, attributes etc that you need to use and it takes a while to work out why things aren't working
I had a lot of fun building this responsive page on a subject I'm passionate about. A lot of new techniques and tips were given. Fantastic add-on to the previous course on building responsive websites.

I loved making this little weather app using JavaScript. It was a bit of a learning curve but the instructional videos explain it all very well, and they are easy to follow. I enjoyed having some freedom to customise my weather app rather than just producing a copy of the example app! I have learned a lot and I am excited to learn even more in the next workshops!

This weekβs workshop/project around building a World Clock was by far the most challenging for me. The learning curve felt steep, and I quickly realized that Matt wasnβt exaggerating when he said that working with dates, and understanding them, is impressive because of how complex it can be! Iβm really glad I pushed through it all within the week, though. It forced me to fully immerse myself in the code and experiment with different approaches, which helped deepen my understanding.

Ive been taking this frontend development course for a while now, and honestly, its been such a good experience. I am currently learning how to build responsive websites, and things are finally starting to βclickβ for me. I did take a long break at one point, and I was worried that I would forget everything, but jumping back in felt way easier than I expected. The lessons are clear, practical and they really help you understand what youβre doing instead of just following steps. Ive learned so much and I genuinely feel more confident every time I finish a new section :)
There was so much to learn for this workshop. Sometimes really challenging. However, it was well explained and at the end of it, incredibly rewarding to see the ability to create a responsive website that works on any device.
