This Responsive Add-on course was a wonderful continuation of the Responsive workshop. It helped me deepen my understanding of how to refine layouts and create more polished responsive pages using CSS Grid and media queries. I particularly enjoyed focusing on the small design details that make a page feel structured and user-friendly across different screen sizes. The final project was especially meaningful for me because it allowed me to create a responsive landing page honouring the โMothers of Technologyโ and celebrating the women who helped shape the foundations of our digital world. I also enjoyed integrating elements such as embeds and responsive media into the page while adapting and refining the layout throughout the project. Itโs amazing how much Iโve learned in just three weeks. The lessons demystify coding and make it feel approachable, even for a complete beginner. I completed the SheCodes Frontend workshops a few years ago, and theyโre actually what sparked my interest in programming. That experience led me to pursue a degree in computer science, which Iโve just recently completed. Even after finishing my degree, I still deal with imposter syndrome because thereโs so much to learn in computer science, programming is just one aspect, and there are so many languages! I really enjoy Mattโs teaching style, so I took advantage of a discount and enrolled in the Python workshops. If you already know some Python, parts of the course will feel foundational. However, I personally appreciated the structured review. I wasnโt previously familiar with incorporating APIs into Python or using the Rich library for styling, so even in the Python Basics workshop, I learned new things while reinforcing concepts I already understood. I completed this workshop in a few days during a vacation week, and it has been an excellent review as I work to build my confidence and expand my knowledge. I was going to dive into DSA review, but I really wanted to refresh with Python first since my degree program focused on Java. This has been an excellent way for me to review with structure, and I think the structure provides a wonderful introduction for those who are brand-new to Python as well!
I found Matt's style very easy to follow, and was amazed by how quickly I could produce something that looks so good. The instructions made it seem easy and took away the fear of where to start. I also liked the way I could complete the course to fit around other commitments, and at my own pace. Would highly recommend.

I hadnโt coded in 2โ3 years because life got busy, and I honestly wasnโt sure if I could get back into it. Restarting with SheCodes was the best decision I could have made. I began by revisiting the basics, completed the add-ons, and now Iโm back in the Plus workshop โ picking up where I left off at 65%. Whatโs incredible is that it doesnโt feel overwhelming at all. Matt Delac explains concepts so clearly and in such a structured way that it truly feels like I never left coding. One of the coolest parts has been the add-ons. Learning how to recreate features you see on big websites โ and actually building them myself โ has been such an empowering experience. I really, really enjoyed this course! As Matt very rightly mentions, Python is very similar to Javascript, only a lot more intuitive (thankfully)! Learning code is beginning to feel a lot like learning spoken languages (in that "if you know Spanish, it's easier to pick up Portuguese or Italian," for example). I can really see and appreciate the potential for the utilisation of Python, so I'm really pleased to have attained this knowledge and certificate! The course was very well paced and explained. It didn't feel too overwhelming (likely having a background in Javascript from previous SheCodes courses has helped). Matt gives really solid recommendations, such as for free extensions and packages to help facilitate navigation and use of the various programmes, as well as sharing lots of great free resources! I'm really looking forward to trying my hand at Python AI and the more advanced Python material.
Just finished SheCodes Plus Add-On and Iโm leaving a genuine 5โญ review. I went purposefully slower on this one because I wanted to actually retain things, not just sprint to the finish. Iโm really glad I did. The course is structured properly, the lessons build in a sensible order, and the final World Clock project pulls everything together in a way that makes it stick. Also yes, I went a bit beyond the brief ๐ but Iโm proud of this build. Something clicked for me here, especially around state (what the app is โrememberingโ) and DOM nodes (what actually exists on the page). Once that clicked, debugging got way less chaotic and way more methodical. Iโm not just following steps now, I understand what Iโm changing and why. Huge thanks to SheCodes and Matt Delac (founder + instructor) for making it approachable without dumbing it down. Next up for me: Iโm building a combination project for extra practice, then onto the next course.

Upon starting to learn coding with SheCodes, I was clueless and knew nothing about coding. However, I was 100% sure that I wanted to transition into the Tech space. I loved this project. We have family all over the world, so it was fun to do this project and show it to my children, who could appreciate the meaning of the different time zones and how it linked to different members of our family. I recall Matt saying that at some point things will start to 'click' and this was the project where I really felt this.
Completing the SheCodes Plus Addโon has been a really rewarding experience that helped me deepen my understanding of frontโend development in a practical, handsโon way. Over the two weeks, I learned how to work with more advanced JavaScript concepts and apply them to build a fully functional World Clock application. In Week 1, I explored new HTML input types and select elements, which helped me understand how to create more interactive and userโfriendly forms. I also learned how to use JavaScript timing events, work with different date formats, and handle global time zones โ all skills that felt technical at first but became much clearer through the structured lessons and challenges. Week 2 brought everything together through the World Clock project. I built the layout using HTML and CSS, then added JavaScript to display the time for single and multiple locations, update the clock in real time, and show the userโs local time. Seeing the project come to life step by step really boosted my confidence and showed me how these individual skills combine to create something polished and functional. The Plus Addโon has strengthened my understanding of advanced JavaScript and improved my ability to build interactive features from scratch. Designing a dark theme was a fun and motivating experience. It allowed me to think ahead about future improvements and encouraged me to learn more about different styling approaches and how they are implemented in code. I also enjoyed experimenting with animations alongside the dark theme, which helped me explore how small interactive details can improve the user experience. Although working with JavaScript can be challenging to understand when writing it, it motivates me to keep practising and improving my understanding of how functions work, as it has the potential to do so much. Excellent course, I've learned valuable React skills from Matt and can't recommend SheCodes enough. The video tutorials are perfect to learn at your own pace and give you the opportunity to keep going back over any bits you don't understand. And you end up with a project you can really be proud of.
I love every bit of the SheCodes Basics courses. Each lesson is well-detailed, yet easy to understand. I can't believe I was able to do the final project all by myself- I had zero knowledge of coding before joining SheCodes. Iโve just finished my next SheCodes course and I can genuinely say itโs one of the most confidence-boosting things Iโve done in a long time. I went from โI vaguely know what HTML isโ to building and deploying a fully working web app with JavaScript, APIs, and proper UX logic โ and somehow enjoying the debugging along the way (stockholm syndrome, maybe?). What I loved about SheCodes is that it doesnโt just tell you what to type โ it explains why. So when something broke (and it did, repeatedly!), I wasnโt panickingโฆ I was actually able to reason my way through it. By the end, Iโd built a Tattoo Concept Generator that takes user input, handles loading states and errors, and is live on the internet โ which still feels a bit surreal. The lessons are clear, practical, and friendly without being patronising. Youโre encouraged to experiment, make mistakes, and improve things step by step, which made everything click in a way tutorials never had for me before. If youโre curious about coding but slightly terrified of it, SheCodes is a brilliant place to start. You come out with real skills, real projects, and the quiet confidence of someone who now knows how to Google things properly. Huge thanks once again to Matt Delac and the whole SheCodes Team!
SheCodes Plus Add-on was a nice addition to cap off everything we learned in SheCodes Plus and show us a few extra neat tricks. I really enjoyed Matt's instructions on all the courses. He broke everything down so well so that it was easy to understand.
This was a fantastic project to learn how to build a responsive website. Matt's clear and simple videos made creating and designing the website easy to follow. Can't wait to continuing building and learning upon these skills! Thanks SheCodes!
There's a lot of information, but the lessons are very bite-sized so it's easy to take a break when you need to or go back and find the specific directions for one thing you learned if need be. The challenges are fun to complete and help you see progress in real time as you learn. Matt's a great teacher and everything is very clear - even for those like me who have never programmed!
Learning Python Basics was really fun! Matt explained everything clearly and in an easy-to-understand way. Creating projects from scratch and then developing them further lesson by lesson is a great way to review what you've learned and see your own progress. The given free resources for further reading and diving deeper into topics such as Python code formatting were also very helpful! The SheCodes team and community were always there to answer questions, to give feedback and to cheer you on. :)

I was initially very intimidated by JavaScript and APIs, but I can now say with confidence that I feel curious, motivated, and eager to learn more. Enjoyed the step-by-step style of the Basics Add-On and really looking forward to continuing through the bootcamp! I feel really confident in what Matt has taught about the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and it's getting exciting to play around and find new features and tricks.
