I had a great time working on this project, it was one of the hardest for me personally. I had to start over countless times, because I wanted a perfect project. Creating this dictionary app was a great learning journey for me. I used two SheCodes APIs, one for fetching word definitions and another for retrieving related images to build a rich and interactive experience. When a user searches for a word, the app displays its definition, part of speech, example usage, synonyms, and relevant images that visually represent the word. Working with multiple APIs taught me how to manage asynchronous data, handle errors gracefully, and keep the UI responsive. This project helped me grow my skills in React and API integration, and it was incredibly satisfying to see everything come together into a functional, polished product.

The workshop helped me sharpen my front-end fundamentals, especially around writing clean, responsive HTML and CSS. Before this course, I was absolutely terrible of making my projects responsive but this helped sooo much!! Also, I was super scared to use bootstrap because before it was very intimidating but working with bootstrap within each lesson has helped me to understand the platform, it's capabilities and i'm even getting better at reading documentation!

It has been an enriching experience that allowed me to develop new skills in responsive web design something I once saw as a big challenge. The SheCodes React Add-on course was a game-changer in my coding journey! It took my understanding of React to the next level with practical, hands-on learning. One of the highlights of the course was building a Dictionary Appโa fully functional project that allowed me to apply everything I had learned about components, props, APIs, and responsive design. Creating the Dictionary App boosted my confidence in working with real-time data and managing React components effectively. It was so satisfying to see the app come to life and realize just how much Iโd grown as a developer. The lessons were clear, the challenges were engaging, and the support from the SheCodes community made the experience even more enjoyable. I now feel more prepared to take on more advanced projects and excited to continue growing as a front-end developer.
Throughout this whole project I was so happy and excited to build my responsive project. I am finally connecting the dots with regards to my coding journey and all the websites I've ever visited. I am so happy to have taken this course and to have an instructor like Mr Matt who makes all of this hard easy and doable.

Learning how to use grid layouts, animations, element manipulation, and theme switching has completely transformed the way I approach web design. Working with JavaScript and Moment.js has significantly improved my ability to create dynamic, real-time applications. I gained hands-on experience with DOM manipulation, time formatting, and handling time zones across different regions. Using moment-timezone, I learned how to detect the userโs local time zone and update the interface in real time using setInterval. This experience strengthened my understanding of working with external libraries and writing clean, interactive, and responsive JavaScript code.
The SheCodes Responsive workshop has been my favorite workshop so far. Using all the skills Iโve learned to create my portfolio website in the final project was a huge accomplishment that makes me feel even more confident to transition into the tech world. I canโt wait to see what I build next, and Iโm so excited about whatโs ahead.
