I was thrilled to complete the SheCodes Basic Workshop and eagerly joined the Basic Add-on to learn more. Although I set other things aside to finish on time, it was worth it. Thank you, Matt, and the Delac Foundation team.

Being part of the SheCodes program is a lifetime opportunity. I’m truly grateful and honored to be among the women who got the chance to learn and grow. When I started, I had very little knowledge, and I was scared and unsure if I would follow through. But the course structure was clear, easy to follow, and full of helpful resources that guided me every step of the way. This experience has truly built my confidence and inspired me to keep learning and creating.

difficult tasks

There was a lot of work in building a dictionary compared to what I thought at first. So many components and handling different types of data and APIs. At the end, it is so satisfying to see what I have built with the new knowledge.

Good intro to Python!

Great program to learn coding. With little to no knowledge of coding this program was a great start to getting involved and diving into the world of coding. I would recommend this program to anyone who has any interest in coding. Very helpful community to be apart of.

I thoroughly enjoyed the responsive add-on section and the engaging workshop challenges. It’s incredible how much you can create in such a short time!

Out of all the shecodes workshops this was the most fun!

I highly recommend this course! It’s easy to follow, with clear explanations and a well structured pace. Matt provides homework to every lesson and weekly challenges that really help reinforce the material.

I enjoyed this project more than the weather project and understood it more

The SheCodes Plus Add-on was an excellent way to build on what I learned in SheCodes Plus. The World Clock project helped me apply JavaScript concepts to a real-world scenario and better understand how to work with time zones and live data. It was a fun and rewarding challenge that strengthened my coding confidence a lot.

Completing the SheCodes Plus program was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my journey into tech. As a self-taught developer balancing full-time work and evening study, I’ve learned how to manage pressure, stay focused, and keep pushing even when things get tough. This experience didn’t just teach me how to code ,it taught me how to grow.

I am learning a lot. I am pretty happy with every class! I knew nothing about coding and now a just did my first page and the feeling is amazing!

Wow!!! What an awesome project to start SheCodes back up and getting to play around with AI! This AI Add-On course was a great way to show us developers how to integrate AI powered tools with HTML, CSS, and JS to produce a page to interact with users. Following along with the lessons and getting to see how much change happens with each push was exciting! Every time this course was being worked on through the weeks, I was seeing my page coming to life! Thank you Matt and the SheCodes family!

I recently completed the SheCodes bootcamp, and it's been a game-changer for me! I started with zero coding experience, and now I feel confident building my own projects.

I enjoyed this bootcamp, it has given me a solid foundation to start my journey in web development.

In this workshop, i learnt about how to make my own AI generator where i find it very interesting and fulfilling . I learnt a lot and it can get a bit challenging at times but Matt's step by step guide and explanation is really helpful. I am looking forward for the next workshop!

For me, it was a wonderful experience learning how to code. I thoroughly enjoyed the activities, which were challenging. Those challenges led me to go further and think about my next steps.

Building this dictionary app was a fantastic deep dive into core React concepts. I went from understanding the theory to applying it in a real, functional project. The foundation was built on breaking the UI into reusable components and managing the flow of information between them using props. A huge part of this project was managing state with the useState hook. I used it for everything from tracking the user's search term to handling loading and error states. I got a lot of practice with rendering dynamic data by mapping over arrays from the API to display lists of definitions, synonyms, and photos. I also implemented more advanced features, like conditional rendering to show results only after a search and handling user events to create an interactive, clickable photo gallery.

Overall not a bad course, but I personally found some parts difficult to follow, because English is not my first language and it obviously isn't the teacher's either, so sometimes he would go on a bit of a tangent or start rambling and it would be be quite hard to understand what he's trying to say, especially if he's introducing new concepts.

It was a beautiful put together learning experience that get's you exploring and thinking outside the box. As a beginner in the Tech world, I would recommend SheCodes to anyone who wants to start and cannot afford to pay for bootcamps. It's a great foundation phase.

This has boosted my confidence in my knowledge of coding.

A great introduction to AI and its many uses!

The lessons were super easy to follow, and the explanations made everything click. I really liked how the workshop included challenges with clear steps, it helped me put what I learned into practice right away. Also greatful for the list of useful resources.

Favorite workshop!

Although the course began with a few unforeseen hurdles, it quickly became clear that the material was both intellectually stimulating and genuinely engaging. The initial difficulties were soon overshadowed by the course's capacity to provoke thought and capture interest, making it a rewarding experience from an early stage.

SheCodes really changed how I see coding. I started with not much experience, but the lessons made everything simple and enjoyable. I’ve learned so much and now feel confident to keep growing and exploring the tech world.

I really enjoyed this workshop and I learned alot.To be honest it was not an easy workshop lots of tolls to learn but I enjoyed.

This week was a breakthrough in my coding journey. Learning how to understand and fetch APIs transformed the way I build - suddenly, my projects felt alive, interactive, and full of possibility. What once felt complex now feels intuitive and exciting. I’ve started integrating real-time data, generating dynamic content, and building tools that respond to users in meaningful ways. It’s not just about writing code anymore - it’s about creating experiences. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and even more excited about where I’m headed. Every line of code now feels like a conversation with the world.

The workshops have become slightly more challenging, but the way the lessons are taught make things incredibly more bearable.

SheCodes Plus was very detailed and I learned a lot. The way Matt breaks down the lessons step-by-step and helps you to really understand how each component works is excellent. I have tried to learn Javascript before and my eyes glazed over and my brain exploded, but the way Matt explains it makes it enjoyable and easy to digest. I also really enjoyed learning how real coders deploy their code and the terminology and tools they use. I really enjoyed this course and I highly recommend it.

A practical, fun course that gets results fast!

Python Advanced was definitely the hardest concept for me to grasp and truly understand. Data filtering was especially challenging. It took real effort to make sense of what each line of code did and why it worked. However, following the video lessons and completing the challenges eventually made the concepts much easier to understand. The best part? You can always go back to review the solutions and try everything again. I love that there's no pressure to get everything immediately rightand that's what makes SheCodes great. This course is absolutely worth it because the skills apply directly to real-world projects!

I had so much fun learning through SheCodes! Lessons were informative and easy to follow; I particularly liked that the majority included challenges to immediately apply the skills learned. In less than 3 weeks, I've gone from never hearing of Visual Studio Code to being able to form a complete, interative website with a wide range of elements.

This stage challenged me a lot mentally..

In the summary of the workshop Matt said, ‘If you feel frustrated, take a break and come back.’ and I took many breaks, ‘If you run out of inspiration, take a walk and come back.’ and I took many runs, and I came back. This project was very challenging, design is not my strongest suit, and positioning is my nemesis. Facing both demons at once tested my patience and grit. I’m not sure how I feel about my final design yet, but I am proud that I finished it. Maybe with more practice and experience, I’ll create something with more polish, but for now, completing it feels like sweet victory.

As someone who’s built a career in both financial services administration and the events industry, I’ve always loved working in fast-paced, detail-driven environments. Stepping into the world of coding has opened up a whole new side of that energy, one where creativity meets logic and every challenge sparks curiosity. Completing SheCodes Plus has been such an empowering experience. This course helped me move beyond the basics and truly understand how to bring ideas to life through code. From tackling new languages to experimenting with projects, I’ve gained a stronger sense of confidence and direction in my tech journey. What I’ve discovered is that coding isn’t so different from Djing, both are about creating experiences, solving problems, and adapting quickly. SheCodes has given me the tools and inspiration to keep building, learning, and growing in a space that feels both challenging and exciting.
