I have always wanted to learn how to code and have tried self learning but never found the right place to start. This was a great introduction to HTML, CSS and JavaScript and I have learned so much in a short time with the weekly projects and deadlines.
This has been a really interesting workshop learning how to use JavaScript, Github and Netlify
Nice, short and sweet add on. But I did feel like I was more so coding along instead of doing it myself like the bigger workshops.
I learned so much in such a short amount of time! I appreciate my instructors in depth explanations and resourceful teaching. I can't wait to build on my knowledge going forward with SheCodes and further real world experiences.

Fun way to learn javascript and APIs
The course was great and really explained the use of APIs and Bootstrap and how to implement them in my work. I can really recommend this course for those who want to dive deeper in web developing and take their work to a new level.
I love that they taught me how to create a landing page with a light and dark mode to display on my portfolio site.
Incredibly simple and intelligible explanation! In a week I understood and learned more than in a semester at the university. Just WOW!
I'm so happy that I could finish this journey. React was so strange at the beginning but it got better and better after learning each course. I have to thank Matt for his great mindset in supporting women in Tech and establishing SheCodes as well as the SheCodes team for their patience and good attitude.
A lot of new concepts and quite a bit more challenging than the Basic course. Well structured, step by step guidance. Bootstrap and JavaScript in some parts seem rushed and could do with more detailed explanation, SheCodes only will not be enough. This is just a beginning.

This was a great project. I found it very beneficial to have previously done this weather app in JavaScript before doing it in React.
I thought that I would not like coding but I was happily surprised that not only did I enjoy it but I also learned some valuable skills along the way!
I really enjoyed being able to create a functional weather application with SheCodes Plus! There were a lot of points where I felt we only hit surface level, especially with JavaScript. I found myself having to research a lot of concepts on my own. I feel like my understanding of functions, parameters, objects, and arrays are still elementary, but perhaps this is all part of the learning process. Start with small bites and dig deeper as we go and learning to help yourself. I played around with using the old API and the new one provided by SheCodes and feel like I have a good grasp on API integrations though. All in all this was a good beginner course and maybe I just need to review the course again.
Before I got acquainted with SheCodes, I always thought that learning programming was very difficult, but with the help of SheCodes, I learned very well. I really enjoyed this course.

I would highly recommend, SheCodes. As a UX Designer trying to break out into development, this is a great way to learn. Matt and the whole team have been super helpful with any questions. Matt breaks down each lesson into small bit sides pieces for to understand. I took the SheCodes Basics on Feb 23,' and now, in March, I'm going to start the SheCodes Max. So excited
The SheCodes Basics Workshops were overall a great experience for me as they gave me both the great foundation of learning HTML, JavaScript, and CSS that was fun to learn and easy to follow (Matt is a great instructor!) and getting more excited and interested in the world of coding! I've thoroughly enjoyed the Basics add-on course. I completed the Basics course last year and this add-on was great to refresh my memory of the basics as well as learn some new tips and tricks!
I am thankful for Matt and the SheCodes Team to help me proceed in my journey. This project was challenging and so much fun, creating my very first 'World Clock'.
It was a fun learning experience, I think Matt is an excellent instructor.Clear, concise and to the point no confusion at all.
I had problems in first weeks but I learned after try hard and thanks to Matt how teach very good with lots of examples in each parts so I really enjoy the classes.
Building a project step by step along with Matt has been great, I'm really proud of my work! However, two main challenges I had with SheCodesPlus: 1. The JavaScript concepts are oftentimes not thoroughly explained, it remains for the most part quite superficial, you WILL need to dig deeper on your own. I personnally studied with a bunch of Youtube videos and a Codecademy course in parallell. 2. Towards the end of the project, everything revolving around API needs to be updated. In Matt's video, he uses an older API than the one you're supposed to use. So it's quite tricky to follow his steps and understand everything. The Slack chat can be really helpful in this moment, which is very nice. All in all I'm happy with my work, happy with my progress, and the support on Slack is great. But I remain slightly disappointed by the video courses which left a lot of questions unanswered. That's the beauty of code, you might say. The learning never stop!
I am really grateful for creating this valuable course. The teaching method is very smooth and understandable. The remarkable thing is the simultaneous teaching of three subjects (html, css and java script) together, which helped me to progress faster and improve my skills.
I enjoyed so much this workshop from day one. Matt's lessons are so well explained, that every challenge was so entertaining to make and woke up my curiosity to learn. This first journey has been fun and I feel excited to continue with SheCodes Plus. I highly recommend it!

SheCodes is a one of a kind coding bootcamp. I am really impressed with the ways the lessons are taught. From basic HTML, CSS, and JS to the final project, I can say that I learned things from this. I learned a lot with this class and my API skills have improved!
I thoroughly enjoyed this class! Coding always seemed daunting to learn, but this workshop provided clear instructions and visual guidance that made the process much easier. I'm also grateful that SheCodes is flexible and allows for extensions without judgement.

I must say that this course has been my favorite, completing the project in a responsive and SEO-friendly way has been a challenge but at the same time it has been satisfying. At the end of each lesson, delivery of the challenge and review of the solution, I wanted to continue to the next lesson because, in each of these steps, Matt taught us information that I did not know and tips that in my case allowed me to understand much better how to improve the User interaction with the websites. I look forward to the next course.
I believe that coding is so important to learn these days because it teaches you necessary skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and creativity. Coding is also a skill that is valued in the workforce. I strongly recommend learning how to code through "SheCodes" as it is simple, well-organized and most importantly fun. Happy coding :)
Great course and easy to follow videos!
The SheCodes basic workshop taught me a lot! If I have the money, I'd probably enroll in their other classes as well. I love how they provided this kind of aid for women in third-world countries. Each lesson is very easy to understand and you get to have a guide as you test the knowledge you've received.

I'm loving continuing to learn how to code and getting to showcase one of my other interests at the same time.
After talking with some other individuals in tech, and how they learned coding basics, I was SO HAPPY with choosing SheCodes. The small lessons and weekly homework keep me engaged and I love that we repeat concepts over and over in different ways so it really sticks.

This has been a great start for me into coding. I have gained a lot of confidence in myself just through these three weeks. The format is really user friendly. I urge anyone who is thinking about taking the course, just jump! You won't regret it.

Truthfully, I never thought I would one day learn how to code, let alone learn how to work with multiple languages synchronized together. I am immensely proud of myself for achieving this feat and grateful for Matt and the SheCodes team for every bit of help and support they provided. A great introductory course into the basics of web development. I liked the pace and the content I was able to learn in 3 weeks.
It was a great intro class and I will probably be signing up for a longer course.
I absolutely loved this course! The pace was perfect for me because some weeks flew by while others I found more challenging. I have used the things learned in this course to start other projects too. I've finished my weather app and I'm really proud of it!

SheCodes Basic Plus is a great addition to the previous workshops. I loved learning more in details the CSS grids, filters, and backgrounds. I was also pleasant to applied my knowledges in JS for the dark theme mode.
It's been a great experience making my own portfolio website with SheCodes Responsive Workshop. I really like the way Matt explains on how a developer find solutions to the challenges that comes while developing a website from his own industry experience. In this workshop I worked on responsive design making using media queries, Bootstrap, CSS best techniques and Figma tool for designing. Feeling proud after developing my responsive portfolio website and super pumped up to create more projects with responsive design.

I loved continuing my learning journey with the Responsive workshop. Responsive is not an easy topic, but I feel like I now understand the basics of it and I'm ready to dive even deeper. The final project is a portfolio, which was a lot of fun to build and is going to be very helpful in my professional future.
