Although I wasn't a complete beginner, it had been many years since I coded and I wanted to get a refresher. This was a great choice: clear explanations, exercises that aren't too intimidating while still challenging, and many useful resources. The only reason why I'm not grading with 5 stars is because the audio of the videos was a bit low most of the time (even with all my volume up).
Finishing my SheCodes responsive portfolio project was a challenging but incredibly rewarding experience. Throughout the process, I faced many obstacles that pushed me out of my comfort zone. Thanks to the guidance of instructor Matt Delac and by researching more theory and solutions whenever some concepts weren't clear enough, I gradually learned how to approach problems with patience and persistence. This project not only improved my technical skills but also strengthened my ability to problem-solve and overcome challenges independently.
SheCodes Plus Add On is a great refresher and bonus in learning more about coding, advanced JS techniques, and I'm glad I was able to build a world clock by myself ๐ฅณ! Special thanks to our teacher, Matt ๐! I love how he explains the lessons in a simple way, this course is very beginner-friendly and newbies can easily follow through. My favorite part is whenever he debugs or troubleshoots something that doesn't work; as this also teaches me how to think in case something crashes in my code. I found the SheCodes Basic course very useful and would recommend it to anybody willing to dip their toes into web design and coding to see whether this field is appealing to them. The course lays the groundwork; however, students should be aware of the extra work (beyond the smaller tasks and weekly homework) that needs to be done to actually properly learn the course content.

Upon starting to learn coding with SheCodes, I was clueless and knew nothing about coding. However, I was 100% sure that I wanted to transition into the Tech space. The journey has not been easy but definitely worthwhile. Not only can I create an epic and awesome landing page thus far, I am also able to see where I made mistakes in my code and fix them promptly. Matt is awesome and makes the concepts understandable. I am only starting out but I can already see that I will make the best software developer.
SheCodes Plus has honestly been such a game-changer for me. Coming in, I was curious but unsure, and now Iโm confidently building real projects with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I enjoyed this workshop and it has expanded my knowledge in coding and AI. I like the step-by-step learning videos. Challenges were interesting and fun.
SheCodes is a good starting point to get familiar with JavaScript and front-end basics through hands-on projects. However, some concepts would benefit from a deeper explanation and more structured support, especially when debugging or understanding why things work (or donโt). Itโs useful as an introduction, but learners who want a stronger conceptual foundation may need to supplement it with additional resources.
Learning to code has been amazing and I am looking forward to the doors that will open because of this opportunity.

Great course, simple to follow along with. There are some very challenging parts in this week's project but the She Codes team are really responsive and available to help. This is my final project and can't recommend the Bootcamp course enough. I went from almost zero knowledge to a full portfolio and the readiness to change career. If anyone is unsure how to start of in the tech world, get onto these courses!

It's a good program with a good project at the end, but some videos are out of date with their websites and what works and what doesn't. While that is acknowledged in the video, it is not very helpful having to watch the video still, and then figure out what to do with the updated websites. Still a great project, just frustrating sometimes
As an aspiring UX Designer looking to understand the technical side of my work, I found this course to be an excellent introduction to web coding. The curriculum is highly systematic, breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps. When I first saw these classes I thought it was your typical complicated self-paced course, with zero direction and them expecting you to know everything at first go. As soon as I began my perspective changed completely, not only are the study videos helpful but the challenges test your knowledge and give more guidance especially if you did not understand. I came here with minimal knowledge of HTML&CSS, now I know how to build an interactive webpage using JavaScript as a part of the code. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I joined SheCodes with zero coding experience but thus far I have accumulated some basic coding skills and I am very grateful for the opportunity,though I experienced some challenges here and there but that does not take away from the fact that the lessons were made to be easily comprehended and enjoyable.
The SheCodes React Add-On pushed me beyond tutorial-following into genuine React thinking. What made this course valuable wasn't perfection. It was a productive struggle. Wrestling with state management, API response structures, and component architecture taught me why patterns exist, not just how to copy them. Debugging undefined data and conditional rendering logic was frustrating at times, but that's exactly where real learning happened. The dictionary project strikes an excellent balance: beginner-accessible yet realistic. Integrating external APIs, managing loading states, and handling deployment felt close to actual development work. I also appreciated the emphasis on clean code practices, ESLint warnings, and accessibility requirements, which built good habits from day one. The result? I now confidently read React code, debug my own mistakes, and build on real projects independently.
I love how easy it was to learn the basics and the challenges after the lessons are quite fun. SheCodes Basics has made me realize just how much I might actually love coding!
I've enjoyed this course. At points it was quite challenging, but I found being able to go back over previous lessons really helped me properly understand and retain new skills. I now feel much more confident using JavaScript, APIs, and GitHub.

This one was challenging, and it's easy to get disheartened when your code does not work but with patience, resilience, and consistency, I was able to finally complete the workshop. Although I had moments of great frustration, this workshop was very fun and fulfilling.
Working on this dictionary app has been such a rewarding experience! Itโs super cool to bring together multiple APIs โ from dictionary definitions and phonetics audio to fetching beautiful images from Pexels โ all in one smooth, interactive React app. I loved learning how to handle async data fetching, manage state with hooks, and build reusable components that really work together seamlessly. Plus, integrating audio playback with a little speaker icon was fun! This project gave me solid, hands-on experience with real-world API integration and React best practices. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to level up their frontend skills in a practical, engaging way.

Learning Python really challenged me, and it was not an intuitive language for me to learn (even though lots of programmers I know say it is the easiest language). However, the lessons were short and to the point, which helped me avoid getting overwhelmed with the challenges. I also needed a lot of extra practice to cement concepts in my head, so I really appreciated the extra resources provided outside the main lessons and challenges as they allowed me to play around more on my own. Once I started recognising mistakes in my code *before* I ran it and the programme crashed, I really turned a corner and started enjoying myself more.

It was very interesting to learn about different time zones in one task. I did not struggle that much on this workshop.
I wanted to make a slightly whimsical weather app, with a CSS design in shades of purple. I also used some animations of sun and moon emoticons to add visual interest. This SheCodes module has been great for better understanding and using JavaScript, especially functions. My favourite part was customising the app with my own style.

Good recap of a mini html + css + js project
I loved this project. We have family all over the world, so it was fun to do this project and show it to my children, who could appreciate the meaning of the different time zones and how it linked to different members of our family. I recall Matt saying that at some point things will start to 'click' and this was the project where I really felt this.
I can feel a lot more understanding of JavaScript at the end of this add-on, and I'm so interested to see what else is possible.

Completing the SheCodes Plus Addโon has been a really rewarding experience that helped me deepen my understanding of frontโend development in a practical, handsโon way. Over the two weeks, I learned how to work with more advanced JavaScript concepts and apply them to build a fully functional World Clock application. In Week 1, I explored new HTML input types and select elements, which helped me understand how to create more interactive and userโfriendly forms. I also learned how to use JavaScript timing events, work with different date formats, and handle global time zones โ all skills that felt technical at first but became much clearer through the structured lessons and challenges. Week 2 brought everything together through the World Clock project. I built the layout using HTML and CSS, then added JavaScript to display the time for single and multiple locations, update the clock in real time, and show the userโs local time. Seeing the project come to life step by step really boosted my confidence and showed me how these individual skills combine to create something polished and functional. The Plus Addโon has strengthened my understanding of advanced JavaScript and improved my ability to build interactive features from scratch. It was a lot of fun to learn Python in connection with AI on a project basis. With each task, the project was expanded and optimized until the final project week. It was explained in an easy and understandable way. It was also great that what I learned in the Python Basic course could be deepened in the Python AI course through further application and development. I am taking a lot away from the course and am looking forward to continuing.
SheCodes React takes you from React-curious to confident. Beginner-friendly yet challenging, it focuses on hands-on projects that look professional and impress recruiters. I started with very limited React experience and a lot of imposter syndrome. Terms like components, props, state, and API integration felt foreign. SheCodes made these concepts click, giving me the confidence to actually build with React. Lessons arenโt just theory. From the first module, youโre building real projectsโreusable components, API calls, and live data fetching. By the end, I had a fully functional weather app in my portfolio, which was incredibly motivating.
