I went to college for mechanical engineering which was when I fell in love with coding and decided to change to Software Engineering. At the end of the day you do not need to go to college to get a job as a Software Engineer. Bootcamps are just as valid as an education as a degree. I personally went through the bootcamp route because university in the US is expensive and I donβt want to spend 4-5 years learning math and 5-10% of coding. Matt is a great teacher, one of the best I've had in a while. The way he teaches is simple and it's self paced. If one day you want to just take it easy or another day you want to put all your energy towards it. This bootcamp is quite friendly for people that like to be in control of how much their learning but with structure as well to keep you in check.
A friend of mine mentioned SheCodes during a conversation about skills, so I did the free class, which I enjoyed a lot, and signed up for the basics course right away. However, at the same time, I changed jobs. As I was very busy in the transition period, I kept postponing the deadline. I was afraid I would never meet the deadlines while working full time job and other having other hobbies. 2023 came and so a new resolution: stop postponing SheCodesBasics! And I'm so glad I finally did the course! It turns out it was easier and more manageable than I thought!!! The fact that is broken down in small topics with short videos helps you to manage your time (I think it also helped that I got a bit addicted π). Thank you Matt and SheCodes Team!

I am very proud to know the Shecodes team and it was a great chance for me to learn about coding. I was very satisfied with Mr. Matt Delac's teaching method, and with the structure of his teaching, there is no reason to fear the difficulty of coding.
The SheCodes classes are a good way to get started. I think the react class is the most difficult one. It was interesting but in my opinion the other classes are enough if you just want to get to know coding. I think some videos need to be updated but generally I would recommend all the classes I took here!
This bootcamp + some instructional videos from a free coding bootcamp really helped me learn the basics of HTML, CSS, and javascript. I can't wait to keep going.

This course was a great jump start on learning how to code and gave me the fundamentals and structure I needed to get engaged with the materials.
I recently finished the React workshop and was impressed with the knowledge and teaching style of the instructor, Matt. One of the highlights of the workshop: building a weather app. On the surface, the app may have looked simple, but it was a great demonstration of the power of React. Despite its basic appearance, there was a lot of work that went into building this app, and I learned so much about the React framework in the process. The workshop was structured in such a way that we gradually built up the app, starting with the basics and adding more and more functionality. This made it easy for me to understand how React works and how to use it effectively.
I've been thoroughly enjoying SheCodes Plus! It was challenging, but I'm so glad I learned Javascript, API, Github, and Netlify, as well as improved my HTML and CSS skills. The information was clearly presented by Matt, making it easy to understand. I had a blast creating a weather app βΊ
Another amazing workshop to learn more about HTML and CSS. A great opportunity to develop a responsive and SEO-optimized website. As usual, the videos are easy to follow and the final project is challenging and a lot of fun to code.
It was really fun to build a simple but also solid website! It was quick but I learned a lot with this workshop.
The web development course not only taught me how to code, but also provided a solid foundation in project management and design principles. I now have a better understanding of the entire web development process, and feel prepared to tackle any project that comes my way.

This course is a very mind-opening one. I never knew I could do anything close to coding. But with SheCodes, I was able to learn step by step. This is the best coding workshop I've done. All of the videos were easy to follow and I now have a solid understanding of the basic functions of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Coding the React dictionary App was another challenge that made me understand React better. The SheCodes workshop's have come to an end. Looking back, I have learned to code from scratch, thanks to Matt and his SheCodes Team! I keep referring new women to SheCodes. Especially trying to reach my Namibian people to join via the Delac Foundation.

I managed to grasp very well all it takes to build a responsive Web Design using HTML and CSS to automatically resize, hide, shrink, or enlarge, a website, so my portfolio looks good on all devices (desktops, tablets, and phones).
As a person who doesn't have any coding background or experiences. I can say that this course helped me a lot. It might be confusing and challenging at first but soon enough you will get the hang of it. I will recommend this programπ

I took another coding course with a different company a few months ago, and this one blew it out of the water. It was using different programming languages so it might not be fair to compare, but all of the concepts were explained so well here that it actually felt easy from beginning to end.

I enjoyed the classes. While some of the lessons were refreshers, I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge during the 3 weeks. Even though I faced bouts of frustration, at no point, did I want to quit. I recommend this course!

SheCodes Responsive was the third course that I have taken through SheCodes. While this course was probably the hardest for me, it was the first time I have started to feel really comfortable with code. Learning how to make pages responsive will definitely translate in to a real world skill. Matt takes work that seems scary and unmanageable and breaks it down into digestible chunks, which really helps to boost your self-esteem! I am looking forward to the next React course.

This is a great course if you are a true beginner looking to research whether or not web development is something worth further pursuing. The course definitely tests your mental strength and endurance, but the results are rewarding when you execute the assignment and the final results mirror that of the examples.
I want to thank the SheCodes team for this great opportunity to study JS and React. This was pretty complicated journey but it was interesting, challenging and exciting as well. Now I'm really proud of myself and eager to learn programming languages even more deeply.

I learned how to code in a very simple way, which became a motivation to learn more about JavaScript.
I really liked the course! The only two things I'd personally like to see are: 1 - consistency in what's taught in the video vs what's in the assignment. A lot of the things we're supposed to do for homework wasn't taught in the video, or was taught another way, and the answer we're given is to just "google it." I know, but if we're spending $$$ on this course, this info should also be given to us on a foundational level so we know what to google in the first place, and 2 - I'd love to see more "practice projects" that we can do that aren't necessarily graded, but we can maybe submit in a different slack channel for our peers to weigh in.
The SheCodes Responsive workshop was fun and showed me that I don't always have to resort to bootstrap to get the look and feel that I desire from my projects. Looking forward to react!
It was such an interesting course! Every week it gets more and more interesting. It's amazing that I can already create websites by myself! Many thanks to the Matt Delac and SheCodes team, very well-coordinated work and the whole learning process is build informatively!

I really enjoyed learning the basics of coding. The workload of the course, which was well-structured, was doable combined with work and childcare.
It was great but for a really beginner it takes absolutely more than 5 hours. Mostly the first week was hard with a full time job on a side.

I'm a developer already, but enjoy passing the basic courses. I believe even if you know everything, there is always sth you forgot or don't know, so I've learned a lot from the basic course.
