It was a very challenging yet very informative journey. I have learned a lot of JavaScript and how to work with APIs.
This course gave me a good knowledge of API usage. The main points of its use were well explained and, in general, the step-by-step points in solving the task were very well explained too

I enjoyed every minute of the SheCodes Basics workshop! I love Matt's teaching style. I learned while having fun and even laughing sometimes. I loved that there are challenges after most of the teaching videos. This is the best teaching style for me. You implement what you learn. I also like that it is self-paced although there is a deadline for submitting the weekly homeworks and the final project. This is good for me too because I need to be able to learn on my own time but I also need that little push to stay on track. Can't wait to start with the SheCodes Plus workshop!

JavaScript tutorials could be more in depth and touch upon more. I did enjoy the explanations for HTML/CSS, although it was all just review to me. But, if you want to get into coding basic pages, take the basic course as the explanations are easy to digest. You should follow along with the coding and experiment yourself.
Having previously completed the SheCodes Basics course and thoroughly enjoyed it, I was eager to further my coding journey. This workshop did not disappoint. SheCodes ushered me deeper into the world of JavaScript. From creating a dynamic weather app to wrestling with API responses, the learning curve was steep but incredibly rewarding. This Basics Add-On was SUPER FUN to do! I can see how much progress I've made because, although I'm working on my code writing to be more intuitive, I was able to follow along quicker and easier than I did in my first three weeks. I really like flexing my design muscles in CSS!

this is a course that make participants familiar with front-end coding.The focus of it is on HTML and CSS but I've learned some basic codes and concepts of JavaScripts. I wish the course was more elaborated with some details. Also it would be useful that fundamental concepts(like variable scope) were explained. Excellent point of the course is weekly home works which engage us to what we learned. Thanks a lot Shecodes and specially Matt.

It was an intensive 3 weeks, but I feel much more confident about my coding skills and learning how it works. It provided me a sense of accountability, but also, I was having fun!
This project would be the perfect project to display to your future employer, it was really difficult but luckily the instructions were always clear even though I had to do some digging myself. I'm very proud of myself for getting all of this to work
The course gave me an opportunity to explore my interest in computer science, which helped me realise that it's something that would like to do in university. I would definetely recommend it to people who aren't sure whether they are interested in coding.

It was an amazing experience having my first workshop with SheCodes! I loved every step in the process and enjoyed seeing the outcome improve every time I learned and applied a new skill. The gradual buildup of knowledge, the bits of challenges in most lessons, and the tips provided in the solution videos as well as in the snippets all helped me maintain what I learned from the lessons, practice on it, and even expand it. Matt is a great tutor! he never misses mentioning the tips and tricks on what to pay attention to when it comes to the most common mistakes. He also makes sure to always teach you how to search for info yourself and the tools you can use to experiment with new approaches. I started this course as a beginner, I had seen code before and even attempted to learn on my own but it was so difficult to fully understand the topics. Well, after sitting in on the free coding class I knew this format and teaching style was better suited to how I learn best. Through this course I was able to fully discover my love of coding! I purchased shecodes Max, so I can't wait to keep learning more and eventually gain the skills needed to become a front end web developer!

I am truely happy that I came across SheCodes a couple of weeks ago. I have always been somewhat curious about coding, but never had the guts to participate in any sort of education around it, since I feared the feeling of embarassment if I wouldn't get the hang of it right away. SheCodes for me has the perfect balance of providing deadlines yet also enables participant to work on the lessons/challenges/homework whenever best suitable for them (/us). I had to postpone one of my homework deadlines and was really happy how easy that was, too. Zero stress added to the already stressful daily life at work and other things going on - life pretty much. Now that I have completed my first course I am determined to book another one soon. I really enjoyed the little highs whenever my code worked and am now also confident enough, that I am capable of learning more about it. All thanks to Matt and his team.
