Every week, I am learning so much. This was one of my favorite workshops. I worked hard to bring my portfolio to life. Matt is a great teacher, and I am looking forward to continuing and finishing my certification!

I was looking for a hands-on coding bootcamp and discovering SheCodes has been an amazing experience! The lessons are clear and well-structured, and I love how we build real projects step by step. It was nice to see another project come together. This one was shorter but easier to follow.
This course helped me understand how to build a clean and responsive website. I learned to use grids, tables, and embeds, and how to structure a full project without relying too much on Bootstrap. Super practical and motivating!
I especially had a lot of fun in this workshop, it was difficult and easy at the same time. Quite challenging!

The story behind my website is not only to express my passion for hibiscus, but also to show how even a quiet flower can bloom beautifully, just like people who grow silently, with strength and grace. The hibiscus reminds me of South African summers, warm, bold, and full of life, where beauty often blooms in the most unexpected places.
Before SheCodes, I didnβt believe I could ever learn to code. But their workshops made everything simple and fun. Now I can build websites on my own β and I feel so proud of how far Iβve come!
One word to describe this workshop: Transformative This workshop was challenging, educational and incredibly fun. I experienced a lot of 'huh?' and even more 'a-ha!' moments. Each lesson pushed me to think critically, while still feeling approachable and well-guided. The project was practical, creative, and gave me real confidence in my coding skills. I walked away not only with new technical knowledge, but also with a sense of accomplishment and excitement for what comes next. I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone ready to level up their coding journey!
I learned so many valuable tips for building my portfolio and resume and what to expect out of tech interviews during the Next workshop. As an employer himself, Matt was very thorough on what he likes to see and what he thinks isn't necessary to add to your credentials. I learned a great deal during Career Week and completed my portfolio as my final project. Detailed, but some aspects are not clearly defined, and an error message was received in one instance when trying to review a solution.
SheCodes Basics was a great beginner workshop for those interested in learning foundational HTML, CSS and Javascript principles. I would definitely recommend the course to others hoping to dip their toes in the world coding, and should I decide to learn additional coding skills, I will consider SheCodes' more advanced workshops.
I have found a new passion and my gratitude for accessible education is reignited after SheCodes. Can't wait to start SheCodes Plus.

What an incredible three weeks of learning coding basics with Matt Delac. It was such a rewarding experience, celebrating those moments when your code finally works and pushing through the challenges of debugging for hours. That is all part of the learning journey. This course sparked a genuine interest in web development for me. What started as a βlet me try thisβ activity turned into something I truly love. I was doing it as a fun activity during my breaks after a long day simply because I enjoyed it. I built a weather app and completed my final project by designing an Airbnb themed website, which made the learning experience even more fulfilling. The course also helped me understand Python better, especially concepts like functions and conditional statements such as if and else. As a business/data analyst, I am excited to integrate these new web development skills into my analytics projects to create more interactive, user-friendly tools. A big thank you to Matt and the entire SheCodes team for all the support throughout the way.

This React course was challenging, especially during setupβI spent nearly two weeks troubleshooting an issue with npm and project configuration. However, through patience and problem-solving, I completed the course and built a dynamic weather forecast app. It was a rewarding experience that deepened my understanding of React and frontend development.

I really liked the challenges of learning React and building complex functions. Doing this project made a lot of fun, despite being slightly more difficult than the other projects. I'm really happy!
SheCodes as a whole is an opportunity and a blessing to me. I have the opportunity of going through the courses as many times as I like, which has greatly helped my understanding of some key areas, especially in JavaScript.
Even though this project seemed like it was complicated to completed, it was broken down into small components that were easy to understand. Using the videos provided with the lessons, I completed this project over the course of a weekend.
This workshop was short and straightforward yet there was a lot to learn, Matt is such a great instructor. During the duration of this workshop, I didn't struggle at all because of my previous project and how it's really quite easy to learn and apply.
I enjoyed diving into CSS Grids, discovering how effectively they can be used to layout webpages precisely as desired, offering a fantastic alternative to frameworks like Bootstrap. Learning to integrate embeds seamlessly and acquiring advanced techniques for creating truly responsive designs across all devices has significantly elevated my web development skills. I now feel much more confident in building professional, adaptable online portfolios.
Before starting SheCodes, I had no idea what coding was. I was very sceptical and really doubted my abilities cos I really had no idea what I was doing. As soon as I started, I could not stop. I enjoyed every lesson, and every challenge was an opportunity for me to grow. Matt is an amazing teacher and I am happy that I am surrounded by such helpful and patient people from this platform. Everyone is ready and willing to help. My knowledge has improved so much that I surprise myself sometimes with the things I'm able to code and it's all thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team . When l was learning how to code on you tube and other free platforms,l was finding it hard to understand some of the things,So l thought to myself that maybe coding is not for me, but when l heard of SheCodes on Facebook by other ladies praising it l thought ok let me give it a try,and now l can witness together with those ladies that truly SheCodes is the goat. The tutorials are very simple to understand in such a way that even a person with zero idea of coding will definately love coding.

I have an almost precise learning style and so I was a little hesitant to what this would mean for these 8 weeks but it all worked out and I definitely learned a lot and can't wait to move on to the next challanges in the next courses.
Working on my portfolio project took a couple of weeks around work, it was fun and sometimes frustrating, but I'm so happy with the progress I've made, and it's a huge improvement to my previous portfolio. I'm still finding many things I want to fix and tweak, and so I feel this will be an ongoing project with much more learning!
She Codes has been an incredible introduction to programming. Through the Python Basics course, I not only learned the fundamentals of coding but also built a real weather app using live data from APIs. Creating something functional from scratch was so empowering!
I have a masters inBiotechnology and have done bioinformatics and no one ever understood how different these topics are to coding.
