I recently completed the SheCodes Basic workshop, where I gained practical skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The lessons were beginner friendly and well structured, and I appreciated how hand on the course was through both workshops and a real-life project. I built a project from scratch which helped me understand how to turn ideas into working code. I am excited to see what's next.
Once again, I am blown away by another Add-on Workshop. I learned a lot especially with Embeds even though the Embeds for Instagram gave me a headache π€but I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop! This is one of the courses that caught my attention the most at Bootcamp, due to Python's potential in different sciences. In that sense, the course motivated me to continue learning the language and specialize in Backend. The material presented, as always, was clear, and the activities are a perfect balance between a challenge that leaves you thinking but easy enough to understand the logic of the code that is requested.
This mini Responsive Add-on course was the perfect follow-up to the main Responsive workshop! For this project, we built a fully responsive single page website without using any frameworks like Bootstrap. While frameworks definitely make things easier, I really appreciated learning how to do it the vanilla way. It gave me a deeper understanding of whatβs actually happening under the hood. I especially loved learning how to work with embeds, and watching everything come together as the layout adapted across devices. Every new course connects another dot in my curious mind and I constantly find myself going, βSo THATβS how itβs done!β It's such a cool and empowering experience to keep leveling up like this.

Just like SheCodes Basics I absolutely loved it! Just the right amount of challenging, but broken down into small enough steps to always be managable.
Leading up to the start of the project, I experienced a significant amount of apprehension about the possibility of encountering roadblocks and getting bogged down in complex issues. I was genuinely concerned about getting stuck and not being able to move forward. However, contrary to my initial fears, Matt and the rest of the team played a crucial role in simplifying the entire process and making it much more accessible and understandable than I had anticipated. Their support and guidance effectively mitigated the challenges, allowing me to grasp the concepts more readily and progress smoothly through the various stages of development.
I like the flexibility this course offers. You can always go back to the lessons and continue learning.
Building an AI Travel Itinerary Planner has been a journey worth taking! I loved how I could combine multiple APIs, such as SheCodes AI for intelligent itinerary generation and the weather API for real-time conditions. Seeing the code come to life with colorful headers, weather emojis, and beautifully formatted outputs using the Rich library was so satisfying. Plus, I now have a functional tool I can actually use for planning my next adventure!
