Such a fun and insightful course!

"Basics Add-on" was a crucial step for consolidating the knowledge I had acquired so far, as well as for enriching my coding repertoire. It is very satisfying to realize that I can think of solutions and understand where to look for the right path to achieve the desired result. I am really enjoying the process, and quite happy with yet another step completed!

This workshop had me scratching my head many times while I tried to sort out the challenges. My project came out passable, but someday I will go back and improve it. Now that I know more, I realize how much more there is to learn. The pictures of books in my final project aren't exactly the same size, but it's a bit like my bookshelf! Nonetheless, it was a very useful workshop and it is another stone along the way. This just leaves the challenge still open to go back and improve once I learn a bit more.

I've always been intimated by coding, or anything pertaining to tech to be honest (the behind the scenes portion of it), but after taking SheCodes Basics workshop, I was less intimidated and more open to the idea of exploring tech as a career shift. I loved the flexibility of the courses, you can go at your own pace which is needed sometimes, but I also liked the idea of a push (deadlines). I plan to further my knowledge in coding with SheCodes when the time is right 😊. I recommend this for anyone that wants to learn the basics or maybe testing the waters to see if a career in coding is for you.

I have really enjoyed this class, it was logically constructed, information was clearly presented and the exercises helped me understand the material in a way that I was able to apply it for myself. I look forward to continuing with the rest of the bootcamp!

The basic add-on workshop using HTML, CSS and JavaScript was a fascinating experience. Although the course was challenging, it was rewarding to understand the concepts through trial and error and hands-on experimentation. Interacting with the project as it evolved was particularly satisfying, as I could see the direct results of my efforts come to life. At the end of the each unit I felt a great sense of achievement, having not only completed my project but also deepened my understanding of the fundamentals. It was a truly engaging and enriching experience that I would recommend to anyone.

This project is one of my favorites. Building React applications is tangible, though it can be challenging to learn. It offers a lot of potential.

SheCodes add-on project was so nice. Glad for the gift of the SheCodes. Learnt a lot of things from CSS transform to CSS Grid to HTML Class Manipulation and then crowning it all with adding of Dark theme to a webpage. Love it all.

I still remember the countless nights I spent staring at lines of code, feeling like I was getting nowhere. There were times when I felt like giving up, when the bugs seemed too hard to fix and the concepts seemed too complex to grasp. But I persisted. I spent hours upon hours studying, practicing, and pushing myself to learn more.I faced setbacks and failures, but I used each one as an opportunity to learn and grow. And then, slowly but surely, things started to click. The code began to make sense, the concepts became clearer, and the projects started to come together with the help of Delac Foundation. Looking back, I realize that the journey was just as important as the destination. The struggles, the setbacks, and the frustrations all taught me valuable lessons about perseverance, hard work, and creativity. They helped me develop a growth mindset, a willingness to learn, and a passion for problem-solving. To anyone who is just starting out on their own journey in software development, I would say this: don't be afraid to struggle, don't be discouraged by setbacks, and don't give up on your dreams. The journey may be hard, but it is worth it. With persistence, dedication, and a willingness to learn, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

The lessons were straightforward and whenever I was stuck, there were plenty of resources (from Athena to the messages on Slack to the helpful links under each lesson) to help me get the gist of how to use the different elements to put together the intended code.

This is such an enjoyable way of learning to code, I am so happy that I have started the Basic course, and continuing to SheCodes Plus. I find the videos very clear and detailed and easy to learn from them, always can stop and go back to something to understand it better and practice. It is really helpful to use the Slack messaging platform to ask for assistance and get some advice on some of my challenges.

After completing the SheCodes Basics and Add-On program, I was very curious to continue with the Bootcamp option, and I just finished the SheCodes Plus program. I found it super funny to learn how to code in a flex and easy way, the explanations are always very clear and I feel happy and satisfied of the final result. It makes you feel that anything is possible, even something that felt so difficult as coding. Definitely recommend it!

It was a great learning journey! This project was really fun to complete and because of Matt's classes now I understand how simple code can be. It really made a huge difference for me.

I don't know why I dreaded starting the Python workshop; it was amazing! I enjoyed this workshop because it helped me realize how similar programming languages are, especially after learning about Javascript during the SheCodes Plus workshops. The lessons were clear and concise, making it easy for me to work on the challenges and homework. The final project was also fun and incorporated everything I've learned throughout the past five weeks.

Completing the React Add-On course has really shown me how much I've learnt over the course of the bootcamp! It was great to build a dictionary using React, revisit Bootstrap, grid-box, and other CSS features from earlier in the course. I've finished the Add-On course with more confidence when using React, and motivation to continue practising using it moving forward.

It was a great learning curve. It took me a bit longer than expected to make the things done, but overall I can say that all the training materials were detailed & extremely helpful. Happy to finish the first step of coding journey! Thanks much !

This felt like it was still on the basic level. There were too many mistakes from the instructor in the videos, making it distracting.

Another opportunity to be creative and problem solve using responsive coding strategies while building a beautiful website from scratch. I learned and reinforced a lot during the course of this quick add-on workshop!

In-depth, detailed video tutorials yet short, sweet, and to the point!

Editing HTML with CSS has always been a nightmare for me. I am not a web designer and neither am I a theory person. So some external training videos and articles only increased my anxiety so I stopped trying to learn HTML and CSS. I have always been in the backend development only. In Matt's tutorial videos, the placement of div, and the way to use inspect to see where my padding/margin issues are, it was mind-blowing and made a lot of sense. With Matt's video, I was able to understand the theory without even trying harder. I'm amazed at myself when I can easily build a landing page. Of course with some additional resource references, but hey, it's still great progress for me! Kudos to me for trusting SheCodes and kudos to the SheCodes team for turning my wish list into a reality!
