I found React very intense but it's also very rewarding.
SheCodes is the place to go! When I started it help me refresh my memories in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I have went to college for Information System. I graduated during the pandemic, I wasnβt getting any luck on looking for a job because everything was remotely. I was lucking to get a job as a IT Audit at a bank. Sadly at the very end it doesnβt work out and wasnβt what I wanted to do. I was looking for the Data Analytics or anything do to with coding. After leaving the bank I was jobless for also a year. Then I look in to the Phlebotomy program and heard it was easy to get in. I needed a job to pay payment that I have and saw some online program for learning to code again. I needed the money, so I went to the Texas School of Phlebotomy and got certified and got the job. So now I have the money to do the online program. I have come across SheCodes on any social media. It kept popping and popping up. So I decided to do the basic and I enjoy it! It was fun and I remember how much I love coding. Finish off the basic I feel so proud of myself and knowing how much benefit is going to help me. Thank you SheCodes for making it easy and fun to code again and looking forward to more coding.
After months of trying to learn web development on my own, I realised there was way too much information out there for me to know what was important or not for a newbie like me. After months of trying to figure things out the best I could I finally joined SheCodes and after having done the first workshop I already know it was the best decision ever. Matt knows what we should know to begin with, he knows how to spread the knowledge in all these lessons depending on the level we are in at that moment. He knows how much we can take at a time and organised it accordingly. I signed up for SheCodes Pro and IΒ΄m really looking forward to learning all thatΒ΄s coming. Now everything feels right, organised, structured, at the right pace and it makes sense. Thank you SheCodes π₯°
Matt made this course and coding really intresting and exciting even for someone who used to look at her computer as one of her biggest enemies before. Thank you so much for this opportunity and I'm looking forward to progress further with one of the longer courses!
SheCodes Basic was i nice way for me to refresh some basics i learned years ago and more. I did enjoy the course and i am now convinced about taking another course ( like Pro or Plus ) to start my career in tech. I found it very helpful to have the opportunity to ask questions and have a community (slack). I highly reccomend the course if you're not sure yet if a career in tech or just gaining skills is something for you.
I would like to recommend the SheCodes Plus workshop to anyone who has tried the SheCodes Basics. It's fun and challenging at the same time!ππ

Learning with SheCodes was an absolute pleasure . My idea turn into beautiful and functional website that exceeded my expectations . The development process was excellent, and I was happy with my final project assignment.

Enjoyed creating a responsive webpage in this course. I utilized bootstrap for the final project, but I am thinking I might want to try again without it to challenge myself and also be able to customize the look of the webpage more.

This Responsive ADD-ON workshop was definitely challenging but pretty exciting! Working on the project along with Matt while he explains do's and dont's, and why's.... makes it really comprehensible and fun. Moving on to React! :D
I have really enjoyed working on my weather app. There were challenging times, however, Mat definitely explained for everyones understanding. Personally what I enjoyed most, ware the weekly challenges where I had to put my mind at contribution to find solutions that work. Slack was another amazing tool where I got answers to any of my questions from SheCodes Team. The support is there is you stuck.
This was a great beginner course to learn the fundamentals of coding! The slack channel was incredibly helpful for troubleshooting any issues with my code. I also found it very beneficial that you can get two extensions during the course. As a working mom of two, some weeks were busier than others, so this gave me flexibility on weeks I couldn't dedicate as much time.
I decide to make a step back and enrol in the Add-ons Basics Workshop to have one more project and improve my HTML, CSS and JavaScript Knowledge.

Matt could not be a better, more precise teacher/instructor! He simplifies code and skilfully relates it to every day life. All learning should be this practical and accessible. And the SheCodes staff and community at large is truly the best there is, so much support. I've not had this much fun and clarity while learning to code. I wouldn't waste a second more not signing up if this is something you fancy.

This course is really interesting and focused on UI only. You could practice in doing responsive web site with given design in Figma. Nothing about JS but close to a daily routing work of front-end developer :)

As a a law student who is also interested in Tech , i have always wanted to learn how to code to make my life easier. I have joined so many bootcamps but i will say so far the tutorials at SheCodes is the best . Matt takes his time when teaching and makes sure you understand the concepts. I recommend She Codes to every woman out there who wants to break into Tech.
SheCodes Basic was awesome. Matt made it easy, fun and successful for it. I recommend this workshop for all interested in learning to code.
Super easy to follow and there was room for creativity! I really liked doing this in my spare time out of working hours and uni hours.
SheCodes React was great! The lessons and challenges were very helpful; I learned a lot and I'm excited about all the new coding possibilities with React.

Before I began this course, I had no idea what HTML, CSS or Javascript were; but I just completed my first project using all three codes. Yay! This training is well designed for beginners to learn and understand. There are also good resources and interactions between Matt's team and the students. Very challenging but interesting
With this workshop, I understand that you'll never be too careful! I never imagined how hard it was for a web page to display without any problem on all mobile devices. Responsive, definitely test my patience, but I enjoyed.
This is a great course and I highly recommend taking it to learn React.
This course is definitely challenging, but nothing beats the satisfaction of having a working weather app at the end! Taking this course has inspired me to keep going through the SheCodes program. Onwards and upwards!
I started off as almost a complete beginner in coding but after participating in SheCodes, I've learned so much and can't wait to learn more and apply my new skills!
I was surprised how easy and fun it was to take this course. It helped that we could get extensions on our homeworks. This made the course less stressful and manageable, especially for those running from job to job.
When deciding to begin learning how to code with SheCodes, I was adamant, mainly because I thought the classes and overall course would be heavily saturated with advanced material to learn but played off as beginner. I can attest that I was completely wrong! The course not only gave ample time to get your work done, along with extensions of said course with later deadlines, but the material was so beginner friendly with repetitive information to help you to continuously remember past information. I had a fun time overall and couldnβt be happier for joining. I 100% recommend other learning through SheCodes!!!

Shecodes Plus is a very in depth course, the video are very helpful and easy to understand. There is loads of support and the deadlines keep you on track.
I have learnt a lot in the React workshop and feel more confident in applying for entry level jobs with this knowledge!
The lessons are easy to follow and there is always help. I felt really vulnerable as I got used to the language and systems, and between Slack and the other resources available 24/7, I felt supported and prepared. It was challenging and engaging and I want to sign up for the next level.

It has been a really challenging workshop for me in so many ways, but getting to translate to a website what at first was a simple sketch on paper and see how your creation works as planned and is functional has been truly satisfying and has made me want to keep improving and learning about web development.

Once again, Matt and his team blew it out of the water with this course. I love being able to control the speed of my learning - some weeks I know based on previous courses I have taken, but don't skip! Matt includes so many little tips and tricks in each of his tutorials, even if you think you know the subject matter, you are guaranteed to learn something in each video.

Before taking this course, I knew nothing from React JS. Through helpful lessons and challenges I could make my first-ever react app and I can't contain my happiness. It was a nice and challenging journey. React wasn't very easy for me, but I'm happy I could manage to finish the project (and understand what I was doing in it, ha-ha). Matt was very clear in explaining everything. Will definitely continue to study coding.
