With the coding knowledge that I have gained within the past few months, it's as if I can see behind the curtains of some apps now. I'm picturing what the HTML looks like and wondering how they got the font that is being used. In all honesty, coding seemed a bit intimidating, because the art of learning new things has never come easy for me, due to dyslexia. But the love of puzzles has pushed me through, whenever I broke my own codes. If it wasn't for the SheCodes slack team, I would have thrown my laptop outside the window by week #6. I appreciate that team for the times that I have gotten stuck and I must have worn out their patience.

I loved the SheCodes Basics workshop! I have no background in coding or technology of any sort, but decided to try it on a whim to see what it was all about. I appreciated that the lessons were short enough to explain each concept in a digestible way. The Basics course helped me discover that 1) I can actually code and 2) I enjoy it because it combines technical and creative skills and makes me think in a different way than what I'm used to for my everyday job (I work in healthcare). I would highly recommend this course if you're interested in trying out coding!

This course is a remarkable choice for individuals who wish to gain a fundamental understanding of coding concepts.

The Responsive workshop was great as all SheCodes workshops I've taken so far. Programming can seem boring, but the way Matt teaches makes it fun and at the end of each workshop you feel good about yourself. It is pretty awesome.

Took this class to learn some basics of coding, I am wanting to learn more. This was easier than I had anticipated! Thank you SheCodes!

I recently completed a short coding course with the Delac Foundation and it was an amazing experience! The course was well-structured, easy to follow, and provided a solid foundation for coding basics. The instructors were knowledgeable, supportive, and always available to answer any questions or concerns I had throughout the course. The course touched a little on coding topics, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and provided me with practical coding skills. The course also helped me to build my confidence and gave me understanding of how coding works and how it can be used to build websites and applications. However the knowledge is not very applicable in the work world. It provides a glimpse into coding and one would need further studies to be able to put the work into practice.

Matt is a great teacher and the Slack moderators are encouraging and always there when you need them! I found the weather app to be a bit challenging, but I'm happy to have learned more about Javascript, and so happy with the end result of my weather project.

A great course for continuing education. Having knowledge from previous courses SheCodes, my studies were easy and fun. Highly recommend!

I had a great time learning how to create responsive web pages following Matt's classes! This was a bit different to the first two courses and adds another layer to my coding knowledge!

Step by step I have acquired new knowledge about React. The workshop is very transparent and logically structured. Writing the first app with React is no longer a dream. I like programming with SheCodes because the lessons are clear and interesting. There are also handy homework assignments.

Can sometimes be a little tricky, but just remember you have other resources at your fingertips. Don't rely on the videos 100%.

Juggling full time work and a family of two young children is a challenge, the desire to up-skill myself is also a priority for me. Data Analytics and coding interests me greatly. I stumbled upon SheCodes and it was a perfect option that allowed me to study at my own pace and in my own time. The lessons and challenges are short and sweet. This allowed me to fit studying in my very busy week. I would highly recommend this course for anyone interested in learning the basics of coding.

I had a chance to attend free coding classes from SheCodes during the hiatus of my university and I completed my SheCodes basics workshop this week. Throughout the courses, I became more and more confident in my coding skill because I got a lot of practical knowledge by doing challenges and homework after every week although I did not know anything about coding before the course. So, I am looking forward to trying more exciting challenges with SheCodes.

It's a good course as a first step for learning react but everybody must know there is 1000 steps more ahead.

This was a really fun project! I thought adding time zones and locations would be a lot more complicated, but yet again Matt was able to explain everything clearly, concisely, and make all the new material very digestible.

I started with very minimal knowledge. I tried to take a class in college but it was overwhelming and I didn't understand much. This tutorial is not only easy to follow, but I not only understood what I was doing, but I actually had a ton of fun learning and cannot wait to continue my education. I never thought coding could actually be fun and interesting. I highly recommend this course.

I found this course to be fantastic! I particularly appreciated the flexibility it offered, which allowed me to work at my own pace. The content was presented in a clear and concise manner, and building a weather app was both challenging and exciting!

I must say it was a positive experience. The course material was well-structured and easy to follow.

Tech is such a broad field, and seeing where I am fit is important to me. Being a creative, Web development stuck out to me the most. I love to design, build and solve problems. Coding is just that. Yes it is challenging, but coding is like learning a new language. I love knowing that I can put together codes to build a beautiful masterpiece!

It was a ton of fun! Learning about JavaScript was the most fun for me I think. I'm pretty sure I got a little too excited with it in the final project, but oh well. The project was just so much fun, making everything from scratch, having to redo a bunch of things because you realize it doesn't really look as good as you'd envisioned it and then finally finishing and being so proud of yourself. These weeks have introduced a new beginning for me and I am very much looking forward to the next workshop.

I really enjoyed learning the basics. I like that it also challenged my creative side. If I could go back in time and start sooner, I definitely would!
