Just wrapped up the Basics Add-On workshop in less than 24 hours! It builds on theory taught in the original Basics course, diving deeper into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with additional advanced concepts, providing you with the tools to build and implement a code that takes you from vision → approach → end product you desire.

I have enjoyed this challenge

This workshop gave a solid overview of what advanced JavaScript can do. Building a world clock was a practical way to explore useful features and the examples of more complex interactions were clear and easy to follow. A good next step for anyone looking to go beyond the basics.

Challenging but overall learning a ton.

Learning React was a rollercoaster but a valuable one. I managed to confuse myself multiple times but referring back to Matt's videos always helped. Real sense of achievement here and I think with more practice, React could be a game changer!

It was very interesting and exciting to learn new features with CSS. It's challenging but in a good way. I enjoyed every moment of it!

I joined SheCodes with zero coding knowledge, and fell in love with coding. Learning HTML, CSS and Java Script in such a practical way made it fun and easy to understand. I look forward to exploring the tech field.

I loved getting to use AI in this project, and creating something that I can use and enjoy!

It was a bit challenging but i pushed through and learned a lot

Two weeks ago, I would’ve laughed if you told me I could grasp the basics of coding — but wow, I can! SheCodes made it clear, fun, and the deadlines were just what I needed to stay focused.

She Code gave me more than just technical skills it gave me confidence, community, and clarity. I am enjoying coding a lot with "SheCodes". After finishing the basic coding course, this add on course made me more enthusiastic about coding.

I enjoyed the SheCodes AI workshop and the knowledge I gained is valuable. The AI product description generator I built is so much fun to play with and putting it all together was a bit challenging but fun.

The first three weeks were amazing — I learned a lot and was genuinely looking forward to the basic add-on week. Every day, I engaged fully with the classes, and a question that had been lingering in the back of my mind was finally answered: "Is this all we can do with CSS?" Now I understand that those initial weeks were just to build a strong foundation. With that groundwork in place, we’re now diving into more advanced and exciting possibilities — and it’s truly thrilling. I find myself wanting to learn even more!

I had a great time learning. The lessons are explained detailly.

Wow, this was the most fun I’ve had learning in a long time. I come from an HR background, where we tend to live in the black and white. But coding? I’m loving it, because gray is more than okay. There are so many ways to solve a problem and it gives creative minds the freedom to think outside the box. Little me, who used to code her MySpace page, would be extremely proud that we came back to this passion.

Excellent content, was very challenging

This course created a fire in me to learn code in all shapes and forms - I dream about code and I love each lessons moment! I have learned so much in a short space of time, I would absolutely recommend this course and would love to do longer and more in-depth courses soon!

SheCodes made me even more curious about the tech industry. I completed the coursework and project in just three days, which showed me how powerful it is to truly love what you do. That love brings out dedication, focus, consistency, and motivation. I genuinely enjoy coding, and SheCodes is helping me turn that passion into something real. My dream of becoming a software engineer is starting to feel more achievable every day.

It took some time and more than a few long nights but I got it done!!

It was a very interesting and rewarding programming bootcamp. I do not regret it that i began this journey.

Completing the SheCodes Basics workshop was such a rewarding experience! I really loved the pace of the lessons and the step-by-step roadmap—it made learning to code feel manageable and even exciting.

Everything in the workshop was easy to follow, even as a beginner. The lessons were clear, fun, and super engaging. I genuinely enjoyed building the weather app step by step! It was exciting to see my progress come to life, and I’ve learned so much along the way. (Also did external researching as well!) I can’t wait to join the next workshop and keep growing my coding skills!

This part of the curriculum is what it is all about, making real websites! What I really appreciated was I had to use an extension because one of my birds had to go to the emergency vet, and I was able to take care of the emergency I had in my life and SheCodes was there waiting for when I could get back to work. I <3 SheCodes.

What a rollercoaster! It wasn't an easy workshop for me, however the knowledge I gained from it was definitely worth it. React was very intimidating and hard for me at first, but now I enjoy coding with it instead of vanilla JS. Looking forward to REACT Add-On 😊!!!

I have really been enjoying SheCodes so far. I've learnt a lot in a short period of time. The workshops are self-paced, so you can adjust your schedule to them. You have small challenges within almost every lesson, which give you good practice ahead of the final project, and allow you to have momentum, so that you remember what you've been working on. I signed up for the Bootcamp, so I'm very excited about what's still ahead and to keep expanding my knowledge in the software development world.

Learning React was one of the most challenging parts of my coding journey so far — and also one of the most rewarding. At first, the logic behind components, state, and props felt overwhelming. I questioned whether I’d be able to understand it all. But step by step, it started making sense. I kept pushing, practicing, and slowly, things clicked. Seeing my app come to life with real-time data and interactive features gave me a huge sense of achievement. If you’re afraid to start learning React, I completely understand — I was too. But don’t let fear stop you. You don’t need to “get it all” from day one. Just start. Keep going. Trust the process. React will stretch your mind, but it will also empower you to build truly dynamic and professional web applications. And believe me — you’ll be so proud when it all works. 💪

I never thought I'd complete a full coding course. High school computer science was always a struggle for me, and I avoided it until I took this course with Matt. He has a knack for explaining complex concepts and breaking them down perfectly. I highly recommend his class!

This is the best course I've taken so far. The challenges that come with every lesson makes it easy for me to grasp the concepts taught as it allows me to showcase my own work and fully understand the coursework.

I have really enjoyed these classes. I love that there are projects that you can do for each lesson and a final project to test your knowledge. The projects get graded quickly and with great feedback. You can also ask for help if you are stuck on one of the projects.

Building this World Clock app helped me improve my JavaScript skills tremendously. I learned how to update content dynamically with setInterval and handle user input in real time. This was such a great introduction to working with external libraries, integrating live data, and deploying a responsive project!

This workshop was a great learning experience. The lessons were clear and well-paced, and by the end of the course, I felt much more confident in my coding skills.

I found React to be very powerful and versatile for building dynamic and interactive web applications. This workshop was the most challenging so far, but so rewarding in the end. Now, I have a new interest that I didn't have before, which is wanting to continue learning all I can about React.
