Instructor Matt does a fantastic job of breaking down the concepts. There is a good balance of demonstrating the concepts followed by practical, hands-on application of those concepts.

Really enjoyed the basics course! So much information packed into such a short amount of time. The format of the course was great for my learning style. Having each week broken down into several lessons made it less overwhelming, easier to focus on one topic while gradually building on and introducing new concepts.

I absolutely recommend SheCodes Basics for everyone who is interested in coding and want to learn the basics in HTML, CSS and JavaScript! I enjoyed the course immensely and really liked learning how to code. The video sequences are very well explained. The help you get from other learners or from SheCodes makes it possible to ask every question when you experience a problem with your code or didn't understand something. This is a huge plus compared to other coding course you can take and I don't want to miss this! I'm looking forward to the next course!

In the last few months, I got familiar with HTML, CSS and JS. SheCodes Plus is a good upgrade to the Basic program, which helps me understand some principles of coding when hiring developers. The program does not take too much time and you can adapt it to your own rhythm.
Great coding concept! Informative videos and great exercises. Unfortunately the "live captions" is not in sync with voiceover/videos so would not recommend for hard of hearing/deaf people like myself
Learning the fundamentals of SheCodes has been a fascinating experience for me. The topics were taught in a straightforward and concise manner, making what initially appeared difficult, approachable and even pleasant. I now have a solid understanding of coding that I never believed I could have. SheCodes has wonderfully de-mystified the world of programming for me, and I can't wait to continue my adventure in the exciting world of technology.

As an informations designer I've always wondered how my designs come to life when developers take what I've prepared on figma or other prototyping software and translate it into a working program or interactive medium. Understanding the basics of coding was a logical first step to take. I found the course very helpful and am looking forward to taking a deeper dive into the world of coding.

What a wonderful course! Matt packs in lots of learning into the lessons, and it's all so practical. Even down to keyboard shortcuts to make your development time quicker. It's a great introduction to frontend web development.

When I started the SheCodes journey I did not know what to expect but now that I have come this far, I can definitely say it has been nothing but a great experience with so much practicality to actually understand and put into practice all that you have learnt. It is a great opportunity to take and even during the course of learning when you get stuck, it is nothing to worry about because the slack community is always willing to help.

I have been raving about this program to anyone that is interested in coding whether it's do learn a new language or brush up on some skills. The whole reason for me taking these workshops is because I'm going to ultimately change my career over to becoming a front end web developer from being a professional makeup artist and beauty educator for 10+ years. I really loved this add on workshop it really is very exciting and interesting to me. I have adhd and for me if I'm really interested in something I will hyperfocus on it until the end of time. The program is really easy to understand and so much fun.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of learning new skills and seeing the progress that I have made in such a short space of time. I plan to continue my coding journey even if it is only for my own personal use. Coding is something that I never thought I would be able to do but I have absolutely loved it.

I started SheCodes in an effort to expand my knowledge of coding languages - coding has always been a stressful way of performing data analysis for reports the day before the deadline! Seeing it from a creative aspect and understanding more about the languages themselves has filled me with more confidence to use coding languages in the future!
I have just finished the Shecode Responsive workshop, a course that taught me how to create responsive and user-friendly websites using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. I learned a lot of new skills and techniques that I can apply to my projects as a front-end developer. Learning to build in React came with a steep learning curve, but I overcame once I got out of my own way and tried a different approach. One thing that I can always appreciate about the way Matt and the team at SheCodes teaches coding it that there is always multiple solutions to the same problem. It helps with learning to problem solve without getting frustrated.
It's amazing to have this new knowledge. However I felt that this module is too compressed: too much information in little time. Comparing to other modules I'm not feeling that confidente about working in React by muself, but I'll continue my efforts.
I'm very happy to have finally created a working program. Learning about APIs excites me a lot as well. Thanks to Matt and SheCodes Team.

She code program is the best I was so clueless about the tech industry but now I have the light on what I've been missing out.
This course was exciting to do and understand
I had two major problems with this course. First, they don't teach you how to display the current weather and forecast in both Celsius and Fahrenheit (they only teach you how to do it for the current weather). Second, I had a full stack software engineer who also mentors software engineers review the code and he said it was really bad code. That we were taught really bad practices. Considering my only exposure to coding has been SheCodes and I followed along with Matt, I believe this reflects badly on the curriculum. I have done the entire SheCodes program, from the basics to the max workshops. They have a team that reviews the homework assignments and give you either a thumbs up or a thumbs down if it was done correctly. I have only ever received a thumbs up. I am really disappointed. The whole purpose of me joining SheCodes was to prepare myself for a career change. Now, I have to start over from scratch trying to learn clean coding practices.
Learned a lot in such a simple way, everything is explained very well, the structure of the matter is logical and it enables the student to grasp complicated concepts with no trouble. The flexibility of taking the classes is also a huge plus, I truly have only the best things to say about this course!

Before SheCodes I never really had something I was genuinely interested in learning about enough to make a career of it. Once I took the beginner's class in August 2020 and knew immediately coding was the perfect way to break into the tech industry.
I've always been the type to give up courses in the middle, but SheCodes workshops have been fun, engaging, and broken up into smaller parts that I find easy to come back to each day.
