I have learned so much from SheCodes! I am currently in the process of transitioning from a journalism degree to software engineering and used SheCodes to prep and self-teach before starting classes, this short course has helped me grow and has also left me wanting more. Matt made the most complicated scenarios seem easy, and I am excited to continue this journey.
For me, as a mother and freelancer, further training is usually difficult to implement or cannot be integrated into my everyday life. This was completely different at the SheCodes workshops. SheCodes has a great concept! The learning content is very well-structured and allows gaining a basic understanding of coding.
I fell in love with coding back in high school, but never got the opportunity to pursue, so I'm really thankful for SheCodes!

The Basics Add-On is an excellent addition to the Basics Course ShesCodes has to offer. The Basics Add-On course helps you to advance your understanding of CSS and Javascript, all while reinforcing the fundamentals of HTML. It features easy-to-follow instructional videos and practical challenges following each lesson, aiding you in mastering the content of the lesson.

As a UX designer, I just needed to gain a basic understanding of how coding worked. SheCodes laid everything out very clearly and provided plenty of opportunity for practice. I found it easy and fun and it was perfect for my needs!

The basics add-on workshop was so much fun! The tips and tricks Matt gives you throughout the lessons add immensely to the knowledge I gained from taking the SheCodes Basics workshop. This is one workshop you don't want to skip. Now I have a solid project I could show to potential employers! Yay!
It was such a great course. It helped me so much on getting out of the comfort Zone
I had been looking at doing this course for a while and it also came highly recommended to me. The lessons were straightforward to understand and most of the videos were between 5-10 minutes each which helped pace the course and keep my attention (I get easily distracted). Almost all the lessons have a mini challenge mode for what you just learned that helps reinforce the learning. It was a lot more enjoyable than I thought it was going to be! The only downside for me was that sometimes a challenge had a component that was extra and not covered by the lesson so I had to either use the Slack channels they have (which are amazingly helpful!) or had to Google to understand how it was used.
I appreciated SheCodes because I was able to get an education very cheaply, and VERY efficiently. Thanks for putting together such an efficient, no-nonsense bootcamp.

Happy to complete the Weather App Project after an intense 2 weeks of learning. The JavaScript element is definitely challenging but I enjoyed the whole process of the project.

Hello, I was always curious about coding. However, I was so scared to take step forward in this field. But I am so happy that I did and I enjoyed every bit of it. To be honest, There was point where I did get intimidated but I said to myself I am here to have fun. After that everything went smoothly. I know there is a long way to go and I am ready. I really like the flexibility I can learn and do the challenges whenever I can do. The way "Matthieu" explained everything in details is excellent. it easy to understand and even you can get help on slack if you get stuck on somewhere. I highly recommend this to everyone. I will just list 3 things I love about this workshops - and also 3 reasons why you should participate immediately :) Project-based learning: We weren't just learning theory; we were putting it into practice by building real-world projects from day one. Most of the assignments link to the final project. Supportive community: The SheCodes community is truly special. Everyone on Slack was incredibly supportive and encouraging. Athena AI was incredible too! Flexible learning: The workshop was offered online, which allowed me to fit it around my busy schedule. I could learn at my own pace, I was busy for my uni finals so I quit for about 1 month and when I came back everything was just like before. All in all, I'm grateful for the SheCodes experience. It's opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me, and I'm excited to see what I can achieve next.
