I already knew some very basic HTML but didn't think I could learn anything beyond that. Even without much prior knowledge, the instructions were easy to follow. I'm incredibly proud of the final result.

This was a great intro course! The videos are easy to understand for beginners and there's access to lots of support. The final project allows you to combine everything you have learnt to solidify your skills, which I really enjoyed.
Such a fun course. Its so satisfying to have a working project by the end of this! Matt goes in depth but makes it as simple as possible to understand the terminology and work-flow of building this - especially the javascript.
React was definitely hard... but the SheCodes team was super supportive. I'm glad I was able to complete this!

JavaScript's ability to provide interactivity and dynamism to websites is unsurpassed. It's been a difficult path, but I've welcomed every obstacle because it's helped me improve my programming knowledge and skills.
Challenging but worthwhile
I really enjoyed doing this workshop! It took me a while to convince myself that being from the humanities didn't mean I couldn't do and enjoy coding. The digital humanities are here! All it took was a small task of adding city codes to a database to light up the spark. Finding SheCodes was the best way to start understanding a bit more of what coding is, and with the small videos and challenges it made it really fun!
The best way to learn to code. Each lesson is more challenging, rightfully pushing you to give 100% of yourself. The deadlines help you be consistent and get better every week. The community on Slack is amazing and the tutors help you out a lot if you have problems. I started from 0 just 2/3 months ago and I am pretty confident now. I would suggest SheCodes to everyone π―π

Wow! SheCode Plus was intense but so informative. During each lesson I found myself so excited with what I was learning and so curious for what would come next. The final project is challenging and not quick but with patience and practice it gets done! I loved that each week prepares you for the final project but you learn something new until the last video. I am so thankful to the SheCodes team! I cannot wait to start my next course!

I am all done with the basics now, and I am waiting to get onto Shecodes PLUS. It took a lot of discipline and dedication, but if I am honest, Matt makes it fun to want to tune in and engage. Improving little by little
I'm very excited to have reached this point in the workshop. I have learned a lot and I'm glad that I can now make a more complete website. I have been pursuing this learning for a long time and now I'm doing it. I really enjoyed this part of the workshop because we can adjust a website to any screen size and that's what I wanted to get to. The teaching has been incredible at Shecodes, plus each video leaves challenges that make us think a lot and challenge ourselves that we can reach our goal. I love it.

I would highly recommend SheCodes. Shecodes made a concept(coding) I thought to be difficult and overwhelming, so easy to comprehend. Not only does SheCodes breakdown the lessons immaculately, they provide you with tools to guide you throughout your coding journey. I'm even more grateful for the program since i joined through the Delac Foundation.
This workshop was definitely more challenging. Having no previous programming knowledge, JS was getting quite overwhelming at times. Nevertheless, with the help of each video, I was thrilled to be able to build my very first app at the end of the course! I'm excited to see what the next workshops bring and I believe with time, it will all become more intuitive.
This was super exciting and by far my favorite workshop thus far. I now have a growing interest in generative AI and would like to learn more.

It's been great coming back and revising the course after being away for two years, these new projects and expansions are a great refresher to courses I've previously completed.
Great learning of more advanced javascript and using the moment library to build a world clock application. Now I can keep track of key cities where my friends and family live without having to google one by one!
I loved learning with SheCodes, it has challenged me in ways that I could have never imagined! I'm so excited at the prospect of learning more and furthering my knowledge in web development.
I never thought I would build an AI app from scratch but with SheCodes I did! There were some features I had never seen or heard of before. It was a bit daunting but Matt explained them and I was able to do more research about them (thanks to AI) as well. Out of all of the courses, I rank this one in the top 3.

I've had so much fun with the Basics Workshop! It's the perfect introduction to the world of coding, and I've thoroughly enjoyed learning HTML, CSS and Javascript. Easy and engaging. I've tried other courses before that are very boring and have so much reading. The SheCodes videos are great and I love that Matt doesn't try to get you to memorize hundreds of elements and attributes. He just teaches you how to find what your looking for instead on trying to memorize.
It was a nice workshop. However, I feel that it could have been a bit longer to really understand React.
