I did few coding modules in my first year in university, and I found it challenging and disliked it then, but after I joined SheCodes workshop, I fell in love with coding. SheCodes is one love. Every next workshop gives some new information and skills. Making a web application mobile-friendly is essential nowadays. I'd like to highlight things I liked the most about SheCodes courses: 1) on recorded videos you can see that Matt could mistype or make some mistakes, then he thinks how to correct them, how to improve how web page looks - and it's great that students are able to see real work of front-end developer, not an ideal scenario. It inspires 2) during Responsive workshop students were able to select one of three available option of design for the final project. And I would say nobody was restricted to follow them with 100% accuracy. I like that combination of freedom and template 3) as a result of every workshop a student has a final result that could be shared with friends and colleagues by just sending a link to web page!
This workshop has been an eye opener. Matt is an amazing Instructor and breaks down every topic into very understandable segments. I truly loved taking part of this workshop. I'm looking forward to the next.

Matt is a great online teacher and I'm impressed with how much I've learned of HTML and Javascript is such a short amount of time.
This project was challenging but I feel now I've got a better idea of what can be done with JavaScript. Hopefully now I can go forward with writing cleaner code. I am excited to keep going and growing in coding confidence!

With SheCodes, I have been able to develop my coding skills from scratch. As an absolute beginner, the material is so easy to read through and understand. The videos are in a simple nut understandable format. In the three weeks of this course, I have developed skills which could have taken me months to learn.
I really enjoy SheCodes workshops. I like that everything is broken down in small videos so you can learn at your own pace. Plus you can always go back to them if you need it. The weekly deadlines hold us accountable and the Slack chat is very useful. I feel like I have learned something I can use in the professional world.

It has been a long time I am trying to learn frontend technologies. I have found SheCodes very helpful. The lectures are to the point and easy to understand. Looking forward to learning more and hope one day I will be able to secure a front-end developer position.
The SheCodes+ course was fun and challenging at the same time! It is definitely a huge step up compared to the foundational course; however, curriculum was well-structured, making complex coding concepts accessible and easy to understand. The real-world projects provided during the course have been instrumental in applying what I've learned and building a solid foundation in coding.
I wanted to try something new. I want to learn new skills that will take me far in life.
The lessons were amazing, they were very clear on how everything works and what is expected of you. The assignments were perfectly paired with what was learnt and the weekly homework was a great summary of all the assignments.
Persistence. The constant drive to try again and again until achievement is reached. Itβs a theme that has defined my journey through this program. The skillset required to succeed is one of adaptability and conscientious effort. Iβve always taken great pride in my work, no matter the task. A core belief instilled in me at a young age is to approach everything with excellence. This belief was truly tested when I started SheCodes Basics. The challenges were no longer just about having a kind heart and a "can-do" attitude. I had to redefine what hard work meant and learn to rely on resources beyond myselfβwhether that was my instructors, colleagues, or various coding websites. Along the way, I learned to value both retention and memorization, and I embraced the idea that thereβs nothing new under the sun, reinforcing my commitment to continual growth. I will continue to learn, continue to grow, and continue to succeedβbecause I will continue to try.
I've taken other online basic HTML/CSS/Java classes before but none have been as easy and straight-forward to understand as SheCodes.

This workshop really helped me understand how to apply for the type of jobs I want as well as how to update my Linked In profile. I signed up for seminars with other developers as well as social events to help myself get into the Tech community and meet mentors.

It gives you everything to piece the puzzle of coding together. You're not spoon-fed anything. It shows you there's constantly room to improve as you learn.

I absolutely love SheCodes. I started off not knowing a thing about coding, to feeling confident that I can not only explain how I built my first weather application, but also being proud of the work I've done. The network of women that support one another, with around the clock homework assistance if needed is awesome, and helped build my confidence.
SheCodes Plus is a really rich workshop which allows you to go from basic coding knowledge to master some pretty advanced skills. The weather forecast is the perfect project for you to learn API and search engine features that are extremely useful for the coding career. Although challenging, Matt's lessons are very clear and well paced, so that everyone can keep up with the course. This was a fun workshop. It was addicting to play with and provided some insight as to how important prompts and contexts are when using AI generators.
I always considered coding super difficult. I know it's still not a walk in the park but i like that Matt makes the lessions interesting and precise. It also always felt good when i finally figured out the solution to a challenge. I can not wait to learn more.

Fun and understandable. Couple of months ago I started looking up something on html and css but gave up soon after as I couldn't get my head around it. I've really enjoyed learning how to code (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) with SheCodes. It is probably the best online coding lesson out there (and I have tried plenty!). The topics are well organised and the explanation very easy to follow. I love the homework we get at the end of each lesson, which allows me to test my understanding. Another positive about SheCodes is the community, which is a fantastic way for everyone to share their knowledge, get help from the experts and an opportunity for you to help others; again allowing you to hone your knowledge.
I loved every second of it! Can't wait for the next Coding Class, to learn even more. π

It was one of the best learning experiences I had. The instructor has a talent for breaking out hard concepts into smaller manageable chunks. And it's very well explained with great content and in a very comprehensive way.
I found this to be incredibly challenging; however, I have learned so much during my time doing this. At times, life and work commitments have gotten in the way of my learning; this also made me more determined, particularly in the last couple of weeks, to power on with this. I can see my progress during this, starting as a complete novice to coding before the free taster lesson, Basics, and Add-on courses. I can really appreciate just how much I have learned. The lessons are structured well; Matt gives logic, rationale, and explains thoroughly what is happening. While it is frustrating getting stuck on something, I found it quite reassuring that Matt also had moments where he made an error, which I found incredibly helpful for doing my own detective work to find issues in my code and working back systematically. There is always help on hand in the Stack community, and it's also extremely helpful to read through other people's questions; I found that at times they answered some of my own. I absolutely recommend this course. It's so satisfying seeing and submitting the final project. Don't underestimate taking some time out and coming back to your code with a fresh pair of eyes! I miraculously fixed a number of errors after taking a break!
Coming into this workshop with minimal experience with AI I have found it very interesting to find out how to use AI as a tool. I have also become more confident with using API's and my preferences with User Experience.
Learning and upgrading my skills has been a fantastic experience. The journey has been both exciting and rewarding, making each step feel worthwhile. I can't wait to see how much more I can achieve and grow with this program!

I already had some experience coding from when I was still in school, but it was never really explained in a way that actually made it easy to understand or fun. Matt did a great job explaining everything, and it was very rewarding to see myself make such progress in a short amount of time. The weekly homework really helped when testing things out for yourself.
I entered these workshops without knowing anything about coding and I leave wanting to know more, with important knowledge and, above all, with a new confidence in myself.

The videos were super informative but still easy to understand. Matt is really good at explaining difficult topics in a way that's easy to understand even if you never coded. It's very motivating that your able to a lot of things and see results in a very short amount of time.
One thing I'll say about learning to code, the more you learn the more you WANT to learn. I completed this in just under two weeks because once I started it was what I wanted to spend every spare minute doing it. It was quite refreshing to hardly touch any JavaScript in this course, and build on existing HTML/CSS knowledge. I was also really grateful for the wireframes and Figma overview; it's nice to learn about things we'd likely have to interact with if coding became a career, and I'm certainly no designer.

I am so glad that I chose to enrol on SheCodes Plus. Although the concepts may be challenging, Matt always explains them very clearly. The project is fantastic, as it gives you the opportunity to take all the skills and new concepts you've learnt and put them into practice. Looking forward to starting Responsive and React :)
The lessons were well structured and were divided into convenient parts. It was also good that there was something in each homework that we had not learned yet, so that we could practice searching/finding on the Internet. I'm looking forward to the next course.
I was quite scared to join the course because I am afraid I could not catch up with the new knowledge. I have zero knowledge in coding. To my surprise, this course was quite easy to learn. Matt showed everything step by step and explained everything in details. It easy to understand what I am doing and the logic behind every code.

I've been very curious about learning code for years. But I also dreaded it a lot. I expected a steeper learning curve. Instead, I found that I am enjoying it enormously. I should thank Matt for this, as he showed me that coding can be fun. As the dawn of AI is upon us, I believe that programming languages and human-computer interactions will take their essential places in school curriculums.
The SheCodes Plus Workshop has made my life even more colorful. JavaScript needs time, and once you get a hang of it you get to enjoy and get excited when a function you called works. I am enjoying every task and learning simultaneously, which is a privilege. And now we code on ...

I work as a project manager and scrum master in software development, however, I always struggled to follow the conversations between developers because I had no technical background. This course has helped me learn the basics, and be able to do better at my job! I have made a weather app, the information for today is accurate. You can type any place and you can see what the weather conditions are for that place in this current time. You see also the weather at your current place, with just one click, by pressing on the button on the right of the screen. I hadn't enough time for the weather forecast at first, but later on, I managed to add the forecast as well. π
This was my first time coding and i thoroughly enjoyed the process. The lesson were short and very effective. I can't wait to see all the things i can now create :). I would recommend it to anyone, especially if you just starting out.
I've learnt so much in the SheCodes Plus AddOn. I feel like the learnings from the other courses have finally clicked and I can't wait to experiment more.
This course was a perfect way to make a website for fun on a topic of my choice.
