SheCodes Basics Add-On was a great addition to the first course! It really helped solidify the basics of HTML, Javascript, and CSS by reviewing previous lessons while introducing sneak peeks. Highly recommend!

This class was definitely a doable and challenging at the same time. Although it lets you be your own boss this class required lots of time management and independent learning. Matt has done his best to explain topics.It was definitely a fun and selfish liberating class. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone interested in working as a front-end engineer.

The course was beginner friendly, very organized and detailed. I would reccomend for anyone wanting to crossover to the tech industry. Slacks was extremely helpful whenever I came to a halt.
The She Codes Basics course was a little bit challenging at first but considering the fact that it was my very first time learning how to code, it was easy to grasp. As I went through the challenges ,I found that I actually enjoy learning about coding and web development.

As a complete beginner this has been a great experience! The instruction is easy to follow and as a busy mom of 3 I have found the time in the evenings to complete this work with little stress. I look forward to completing the rest of the courses!
I don't have any knowledge about coding before and after finishing SheCodes Basics I'm glad to be able to make a page from a scratch. For someone with no prior knowledge about coding Matt has definitely did a good job making it more fun and easy to understand and learn every lesson.

One of the things I appreciated most about the camp was the emphasis on collaboration and teamwork with people all from different countries on slack. We were encouraged to work together on assignments and projects, which allowed us to learn from each other and develop our interpersonal skills.
This course, which was mostly about designing a website, was very practical and made me more familiar with this UI more
Challenging but very rewarding course. Loved the fact that content was delivered using very clear videos and most activities had an accompanying challenge task to practice what you just learnt and check understanding. Would recommend SheCodes basics to any woman that wants to check out what coding is about.

I recently completed a web development bootcamp at a coding school, where I gained experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and various front-end frameworks. SheCodes React was challenging in all the right ways. It gave me just enough examples and rules to get started and then required me to pursue answers outside the class where I researched and practiced. I really appreciate this approach, as I feel this is more representative of real-world development.

It was a difficult few weeks but I figure out and understand more about Javascript and API. It took time but now I'm getting the hang of it. It is getting somewhat pretty good but I tried my best.
Matt is a great, very detailed but easy to understand teacher and the video aulas are well made and has a good passing. The challenges also makes us stop and thinking a little bit extra out of what you just learned exactly to help you and make you have the curiosity to get deeper and deeper inside the coding world. Looking forward to keep progressing in the next courses!

I found React very intense but it's also very rewarding.
SheCodes is the place to go! When I started it help me refresh my memories in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I have went to college for Information System. I graduated during the pandemic, I wasnβt getting any luck on looking for a job because everything was remotely. I was lucking to get a job as a IT Audit at a bank. Sadly at the very end it doesnβt work out and wasnβt what I wanted to do. I was looking for the Data Analytics or anything do to with coding. After leaving the bank I was jobless for also a year. Then I look in to the Phlebotomy program and heard it was easy to get in. I needed a job to pay payment that I have and saw some online program for learning to code again. I needed the money, so I went to the Texas School of Phlebotomy and got certified and got the job. So now I have the money to do the online program. I have come across SheCodes on any social media. It kept popping and popping up. So I decided to do the basic and I enjoy it! It was fun and I remember how much I love coding. Finish off the basic I feel so proud of myself and knowing how much benefit is going to help me. Thank you SheCodes for making it easy and fun to code again and looking forward to more coding.
After months of trying to learn web development on my own, I realised there was way too much information out there for me to know what was important or not for a newbie like me. After months of trying to figure things out the best I could I finally joined SheCodes and after having done the first workshop I already know it was the best decision ever. Matt knows what we should know to begin with, he knows how to spread the knowledge in all these lessons depending on the level we are in at that moment. He knows how much we can take at a time and organised it accordingly. I signed up for SheCodes Pro and IΒ΄m really looking forward to learning all thatΒ΄s coming. SheCodes Basic was i nice way for me to refresh some basics i learned years ago and more. I did enjoy the course and i am now convinced about taking another course ( like Pro or Plus ) to start my career in tech. I found it very helpful to have the opportunity to ask questions and have a community (slack). I highly reccomend the course if you're not sure yet if a career in tech or just gaining skills is something for you.
I would like to recommend the SheCodes Plus workshop to anyone who has tried the SheCodes Basics. It's fun and challenging at the same time!ππ

Enjoyed creating a responsive webpage in this course. I utilized bootstrap for the final project, but I am thinking I might want to try again without it to challenge myself and also be able to customize the look of the webpage more.

This Responsive ADD-ON workshop was definitely challenging but pretty exciting! Working on the project along with Matt while he explains do's and dont's, and why's.... makes it really comprehensible and fun. Moving on to React! :D
I have really enjoyed working on my weather app. There were challenging times, however, Mat definitely explained for everyones understanding. Personally what I enjoyed most, ware the weekly challenges where I had to put my mind at contribution to find solutions that work. Slack was another amazing tool where I got answers to any of my questions from SheCodes Team. The support is there is you stuck.
This was a great beginner course to learn the fundamentals of coding! The slack channel was incredibly helpful for troubleshooting any issues with my code. I also found it very beneficial that you can get two extensions during the course. As a working mom of two, some weeks were busier than others, so this gave me flexibility on weeks I couldn't dedicate as much time.
I decide to make a step back and enrol in the Add-ons Basics Workshop to have one more project and improve my HTML, CSS and JavaScript Knowledge.

Matt could not be a better, more precise teacher/instructor! He simplifies code and skilfully relates it to every day life. All learning should be this practical and accessible. And the SheCodes staff and community at large is truly the best there is, so much support. I've not had this much fun and clarity while learning to code. This course is really interesting and focused on UI only. You could practice in doing responsive web site with given design in Figma. Nothing about JS but close to a daily routing work of front-end developer :)

As a a law student who is also interested in Tech , i have always wanted to learn how to code to make my life easier. I have joined so many bootcamps but i will say so far the tutorials at SheCodes is the best . Matt takes his time when teaching and makes sure you understand the concepts. I recommend She Codes to every woman out there who wants to break into Tech.

With this workshop, I understand that you'll never be too careful! I never imagined how hard it was for a web page to display without any problem on all mobile devices. Responsive, definitely test my patience, but I enjoyed.

This course is definitely challenging, but nothing beats the satisfaction of having a working weather app at the end! Taking this course has inspired me to keep going through the SheCodes program. Onwards and upwards!
I started off as almost a complete beginner in coding but after participating in SheCodes, I've learned so much and can't wait to learn more and apply my new skills!
I was surprised how easy and fun it was to take this course. It helped that we could get extensions on our homeworks. This made the course less stressful and manageable, especially for those running from job to job.
When deciding to begin learning how to code with SheCodes, I was adamant, mainly because I thought the classes and overall course would be heavily saturated with advanced material to learn but played off as beginner. I can attest that I was completely wrong! The course not only gave ample time to get your work done, along with extensions of said course with later deadlines, but the material was so beginner friendly with repetitive information to help you to continuously remember past information. I had a fun time overall and couldnβt be happier for joining. I 100% recommend other learning through SheCodes!!!
