I wanted to learn to code for fun, which allowed me to enjoy this whole process, and now I can see myself enjoying this as a profession! I highly recommend doing the basics course if you are just starting coding. Best decision I made this summer!

I attended the CSS workshop with a solid foundation in CSS, but I found the experience incredibly enlightening. The workshop effectively clarified many concepts that I had previously misunderstood, making everything much easier to grasp and apply. What I particularly loved were the video tutorials; they were crafted with meticulous detail and passion, yet remained strictly to the point. This approach not only enhanced my understanding but also kept me engaged throughout. Despite this course being more challenging compared to the Basic and the Basics Add-on courses, I thoroughly enjoyed becoming more confident and creative with the final project. Matt is an amazing teacher, and I cannot recommend SheCodes enough if you want to get into coding.

This was a really fun workshop! Learning how to integrate AI with API is very complex, but seeing the end-result makes all of it worth it. The lessons were fun and easy to understand and I never thought I'd be able to come this far with SheCodes. Thank you for making the courses so user friendly and fun!!

A very comprehensive review of Javascript fundamentals carefully taught with relevant scenarios. It was fun learning version control and hosting with Netlify! Learned a lot of concepts that I am excited to practice with.

Continuing my coding journey through SheCodes AI Add On was exactly what I needed to give me the building blocks for using AI in my existing sites and applications. The course is a great way to learn how to integrate AI Apis and use them to create powerful functionalities.

React was a challenge for sure, and I did learn a lot and enjoyed the results at the end. I do want to point out (and that's the reason I'm not giving 5/5) that in this particular workshop (React) I felt that the lessons were taught with language and concepts that we haven't heard before but like we were familiar with them already, and I had to have Google and Youtube open separately and learn things there at the same time, which I felt should be included on the paid course. Othen than that, learned a lot.

I had no experience with coding before taking the basics course. Now, I feel like I can at least speak the basics of the language, and I am definitely noticing new things when I visit websites.

NEVER GIVE UP! It was a very interesting project. When I was having a hard time, or when I was getting discouraged, I would play the video again and Matt would say, “Watch it! This is fun! Enjoy it.” And it worked. Thank you for these wonderful days in which I coded. Now this is a real passion for me. You taught me that everything complex can be broken down into parts. To be honest, I did not know what to expect when I started my first day. Every lesson has something new and exciting. As a creative, having to build something from scratch has to be the highlight of my day! Everyday! I am forever grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Matt always show the coding step by step that is easy to follow. I didn't think I would get beyond the basics. To have just completed the basics add-on goes to show that anyone who is willing to learn can also do coding.

SheCodes is great! Videos are easy to follow and challenges help reinforce learning. Slack and Athena act as the best TAs you could ever have, making the learning process seamless.

Can't believe I'm coming to the end of this coding experience. I was able to enjoy myself, overcome hurdles and challenges with SheCodes help and learn something new every week.

I thoroughly enjoyed the React Add-on workshop where I learned invaluable skills in integrating diverse APIs. Creating a dictionary and utilizing multiple APIs within a React app was particularly insightful. The hands-on experience and clear explanations made it easy to grasp complex concepts.

I found SheCodes in 2020, I didn't apply for it because I thought I would not like web development and I am pretty busy. Fast forward, to this year 2024, I chose to try it out, I applied for the Delac Foundation and thanks be to God I got in! It is an honor to be part of this program, I fell in love with programming HTML, CSS, and JavaScript once again. I did code a little before but always gave up halfway. This is a good platform for everybody and I highly recommend it to everyone venturing out in web development. When I 1st saw the ad for SheCodes and listened to the free coding class video, I was immediately intrigued. When I started to take the class, it was very overwhelming on my 1st week,and I wanted to quit, but then I reviewed the videos over and over and now it doesn't seem as overwhelming, it does take time and practice but I am happy that I jumped in and stuck with the class.
