Learning how to use AI in my project was very interesting. During the workshop we had the chance of combining different skills and also focusing on UX. It was definitely an enriching experience.

The Responsive lesson is the valuable lesson I've been waiting for; it teaches you to code websites that work for computer screens AND mobile devices. For the final project, we were to create a portfolio website. The site I created accomplishes the goals of the workshop and a little more, but I hope to use it to recreate my personal website instead of the site I have hosted on a web builder right now. I took inspiration from the teacher, my existing site, and other open-sourced projects from other students to create my project.

Basics Add-on was really well-designed and walks you through everything. It was a great recap of the Basics course, and I really enjoyed this course's project!

Coding has now become a passion of mine, I started with intro to coding and I am happy to announce that I just finished the React module! My coding skills are getting better with every project we work on. thanks to Shecodes Team.

During this project, I enhanced my understanding of responsive design, semantic HTML, and dynamic styling with CSS. I also successfully incorporated interactive features, such as embedded Google Maps and structured image galleries. This experience taught me how to create a user-friendly and responsive website without relying on frameworks like Bootstrap.

This particular workshop was very challenging. The good news is the videos and the projects are there for me to try my hands on again. My main challenge has to do with figuring out the javascript functions and calling of the functions.

When we started working on a Weather app during week one of SheCodes plus, the task seemed very intimidating. Especially the requirement to incorporate real time data. Matt did an excellent job breaking down the daunting task into comprehensible lessons. At the end of the course, my Weather app project no longer felt intimidating rather, it was quite fun to work with. It felt easy enough to work on, that I challenged myself to build two additional themes for the app. I love the challenges at the end of most lessons, testing frequently is one of the best ways to retain and recall new information. This Plus add-on workshop helped me build on the JavaScript skills I learned in SheCodes Plus. It allowed me to create a brand new project which is a fully functioning world clock packed with cool features.

The workshops are thought out well. Matt is a good instructor and his videos are thorough with good examples. I have tried many video based courses to assist with becoming a web developer but I find myself losing interest. I like the fact there are due dates with the homework assignments and projects. That keeps me more focused and willing to stay motivated.

The SheCodes Plus workshop was well-organized and engaging, offering the right amount of challenge to help me improve my skills. Building the weather app let me use what I learned and work through coding challenges. As someone who learns by doing, I appreciated the focus on practical project work.

I had already learned Python before starting this module, so it was a nice little practice for me, and I enjoyed the final project! I was introduced to a new Python library (RICH) and compared using Python vs. Javascript after focusing solely on JS for a while. Once again, Matt does a wonderful job of breaking the learning into easily digestible bites, which makes the learning feel easy while still challenging.

The React Add-on workshop was a great journey to deepening my knowledge of React and becoming used to its techniques and cores. Working on the Dictionary project was interesting and fun, even when sometimes it was frustrating to deal with some of the errors that occurred along the way. But once you fix them and everything works smoothly it gives you so much faith in yourself. A big gratitude to Matt Delac for being such a great instructor and for the SheCodes team's support during that journey.

I've enjoyed learning the basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript having previously done beginner courses elsewhere in data analytics. This feels a little more creative which I like. I enjoyed trying things out on the design side for the project and basing it on a chosen topic. I haven't yet decided whether to make it a career change but it's certainly given me food for thought.

Python Advanced Workshop was really intense and very engaging. I learnt about Object Oriented Programming to help design codes in a much more organized and scalable way. I also learnt more on how to manipulate files - read, write and extract data to make it presentable and easy for people to understand. I am also able to display data extracted using Python plots for better visualization. The most challenging yet rewarding for me in this workshop was learning advanced techniques on csv file manipulation and complex data structures in Python. I learnt how to play around with dictionaries, filtering and aggregating data. At the end of the workshop, I was able to build a project using real life csv file to create data visualization using Python. Thank you to Matt and the SheCodes team for this very engaging and knowledge-packed workshop.

As a complete beginner, I was nervous about learning something so new, but the lessons are clear, engaging, and easy to follow. Over the last two weeks, I’ve been working on an exciting project, building a World Clock application using moment.tz, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, hosted on Netlify and managed through GitHub. This project has been an incredible learning experience for me. After 2.5 months of working on and finishing two projects — a Weather App that provides real-time data and now the World Clock, I can confidently say that my understanding of coding and app development has improved significantly. With the World Clock project, I was able to integrate different time zones, show the current time in multiple cities, and even find my own location in real time. Thanks to SheCodes Plus, I now feel more confident in my coding abilities. The structured lessons and hands-on projects have given me a deeper understanding of how to build apps, troubleshoot issues, and what to look for when things aren't working as expected. I’m constantly learning and improving my skills, and I’m excited to keep building more projects as I grow as a developer.
