This intro workshop was challenging and fun! The over-the-shoulder format of the lesson videos is super helpful, and the homework and final project really help to solidify everything I've learned so far.
Learning with she codes had been a really great experience with the guided lessons and homework deadlines . I truly enjoyed these few week of learning the basics of coding and definitely look forward to joining more workshops to further acquire more coding knowledge.

Only thing is that i really missed more feedback about my homework.. Only hearing if it's good or not i found really not enought, i would like to get more tips to improve my coding. SheCodes Basic a great way to learn the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and JS. I had great funn finishing my challenges and homework's. The lessions are balanced and formed in order to gradually teach new technologies without overwhelming with new information's, as it was the case in some courses I encountered before discovering SheCodes! SheCodes is the best coding workshop I've found so far. Matt is great at explaining everything, even the more complicated parts like Javascript. I was able to follow all the lessons and finish all my homework with no problem.
This introductory workshop really helps understand the basis of html, css and javascript. You learn at your own pace (love that you can speed up training video and pause when needed). I felt engaged owing to the online slack support as well as challenges and homeworks. Also, challenges and homework are great, practice is key in coding to understand how all these languages work together and is needed to actually retain the info (at least for me^^) I loved the format, not too easy not too hard, just challenging enough to want to dig into it more :)!
I love this class! Being able to practice real-life exercises and having access to guided solutions after submitting homework helped me understand the languages even more. I am looking forward to my next class!

Working full-time, these lessons were very easy to incorporate into my busy schedule and I was able to learn & complete my homework without the pressure of an imminent deadline. The course is very well-structured and when followed as recommended, building knowledge of the coding languages was seamless.
This is a very interesting course for beginners. At the end, you can make your own simple website. Homework gets harder each time and makes you look for ways to get things done. I recommend it!

Iv always been passionate about learning to code as I find it challenging and interesting especially whilst working closely with developers. I just couldn't find the right course however, when heard about 'SheCodes' thought id give it a try. Enrolling was the best thing I did I have already learnt how to code using CSS, HTML, JavaScript and Editor which is great achievement for me. I like the way the course is broken down to small weekly workshops, lessons and homework all of which was easy to grasp. I'm so glad I took the SheCodes basic course, it was very fun to try apply the lessons to our homeworks and definitely a challenge. Like my boy in that one vine once said - "That was legitness". This is my third workshop from SheCodes and once again my guy Matt killed it with the video lessons. My ADHD brain has no problem following each video because Matt is great at explaining concepts clearly. I appreciate the structure of the workshops. Video tutorials to the homework is the most useful thing - once you are stuck, there is always a video that explains the issue.
I knew nothing about coding before the course. Now after finishing the course I have a basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript. I've had a lot fun during these three weeks. Having small challenges and weekly homework keeps you engaged throughout the weeks. The community and the support have been great and of course Matt's videos have been easy to follow along.

I've been looking for a coding course for some time, but none offered such a brilliant approach to teaching as SheCodes. I LOVED doing this workshop! π€© With SheCodes, I discovered that coding can be so much fun. I never thought much about programming and coding because I had that misconception that it is extremely hard because there is loads of math involved... I was so wrong! Matt has a really special way of teaching - everything seems easy (because it can be) and uncomplicated. The modules are very well organised, and there is no math involved!! Also all the little challenges and homework keeps you motivated and helps you putting things into practise. My background is in nursing and marketing - so I was completely clueless about HTML, CSS and JavaScript. But now I feel confident. I've built a basic website from scratch, and had so much fun doing it! I look forward to learning more, and maybe (who knows?!) I'll get serious about web development.
Liked the course very much! Each lesson has step by step instructions! Mat explains in an interesting and understandable language for beginners, so there were no problems with homework. This workshop was a great introduction to coding! Would recommend a 10000/10 :) Before I signed up for this workshop I already gained experience with HTML and CSS through self-study, which wasn't only a very time consuming endeavour, but also a frustrating one (at some point tears have been shed). So, I was really dreading JavaScript selfstudy and it felt like my basics could also use some extra polishing; would not recommend the selfstudy route... That's when I started looking for an easier way and stumbled upon SheCodes. And it's seriously the best thing that could have happened to me. The lessons are very coherent and very easy to follow, and all the homework and projects were not only great practice; but also lots of fun! It's also really nice that you have access to an entire community that helps you out if you get stuck on a problem and that you can determine your own pace if you're busy with school or work, or both, while being on your coding journey. I really admire the knowledge I got during the courses. SheCodes team managed to create enough interactive lections and challenging tasks. It was exciting to look for a solution for during homeworks. And you are always welcomed to ask for a help and find an answers for your questions.
When I started this workshop, I was hoping to just learn a new skill. But after doing the challenges, homework and the final project, I can say that I have a new found respect and love for coding. I thought it would be too hard but I surpassed all of my expectations with the help of this workshop. I hope to continue with my learning and possibly start in a new career field!

This was my very first introduction to coding and I believe SheCodes was the right choice. I really enjoyed the format of the SheCodes Basics program - structured with lessons and homework, but you still had the freedom to go at your own pace through out each week. I also really liked being a part of the Slack community - everyone is willing to help if they can and then you have the support of SheCodes as well.
After taking the last six months to settle into life in Canada, I started feeling itchy to learn something new again. That's when I saw an ad for a free SheCodes intro session. Working in Marketing, I've always seen knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS as a desired skill and thanks to SheCodes, I now have that knowledge. The online course was so easy to follow - Matt explains everything at a great pace, with practical examples and shows you how to use what you're learning with intuitive tools. The challenges and homeworks also gave a good opportunity to put into practice what you've learned too and knowing that your solutions are verified by a real person is a good boost to the confidence. Such a good course... Next stop, SheCodes Plus.
SheCodes Responsive sucked me into the coding world like never before! Even though some elements were confusing at first, Matt and his team make sure that throughout the journey there are enough exercises to practice them and by the time I reached the final project homework, I felt very confident using them. Fantastic introduction to coding! I had no previous experience with HTML, CSS & JavaScript, but now have a good understanding on what they are and how to use them. Matt's lesson videos are informative and detailed, and allow you to follow along and code at the same time, building your learning and understanding. The regular exercises and homework tasks help to reinforce that understanding and are quite challenging! I will definitely be using these new skills in my day-to-day life and at work. What more, I now have a real-life project that I built, which I can share with my employer and prospective employers!
The course is great for beginners. Thank you very much to the team of SheCodes and to the teacher Matt for the knowledge which was received. I enjoyed learning and doing my homework. Sometimes it was difficult (especially the last big project lol) but it doesn't mean that it wasn't enjoyable. The team via email and on Slack was very nice and helpful.

Learning SheCodes Plus can be quite a challenge but it was a great experience! I am happy to have learned more about coding after SheCodes Basic. I am also thankful that their team's live chat support is always available every time I'm feeling stuck or confused on how to do the homework.

Skip this course, however, if you recently learned HTML, CSS, and JS and have a good grasp of the fundamentals. I suggest you proceed with the higher-level curriculum.
SheCodesPlus is an incredible coding workshop. I never thought I could understand JavaScript and actually code with it, but throughout the course, I learned so much and enjoyed doing the homework. I truly appreciate this experience.
The course's format is efficient: frequent challenges, weekly homework and final projects alongside with clear instructions from the instructor; very supportive technician team giving quick solutions/explanation. I have learnt a lot by practicing almost daily.
I'm really proud of all the things i have learned thanks to the very well explained videos and the Slack help-team. The fact that we can replay the videos even after finishing the Homework is awesome.
SheCodes has provided me with the structure I need to succeed. The lessons for the week are broken into bite-sized pieces with little challenges after each lesson (like two-bite brownies!), which builds to the week's homework assignment. The assignment gives you the opportunity to apply all of the week's lessons to see how they work together. This two-bite brownie approach helps to remove the feeling of overwhelm and gives the feeling of satisfaction with each challenge. I'm so excited to see what I learn throughout the SheCodes React program.
Iβve got to say that Iβm really impressed by SheCodes Plus content. Matt itβs a very good teacher and the staff on Slack itβs always available for you if needed. Iβm a criminal law Ph.D. candidate using my βfreeβ time (and brain) to do the courses. Itβs not easy to manage everything together, but itβs doable. Youβll need to dedicate yourself to it, maybe more than 5h a week, and practice as much as you can, trying new things inside your challenges and homework. The course will give you a full understanding of how to work with JS and put your code online, the rest itβs up to you. Practicing and exploring is crucial, especially if you want to pursue a development career. SheCodes itβs a very good first step into it!

Iβve done a couple of coding courses online in the past and I have loads of ideas. But I get overwhelmed and Iβm not good at my code writing. So I still felt stuck. After getting into Shecodes Basic workshop for just this few weeks, I am able to write codes and even create my own pages because the way the teaching and lessons are been delivered including the homework's has given me some direction and motivation to sort out myself in coding. Shecodes teaching is simple, yet detailed, and I love the huge number of examples in this course. I had not realized how powerful examples are. The examples help teach me all the basics i needed to know to be able to code, and Iβm starting to create my own pages. Many courses promise to give step-by-step guidance but still leave you wondering what to do next. Shecodes course is different. At the end of the course, I knew what to do. Iβve just finished my project work and hoping I would be creating more of those work so as to become familiar with the basics of coding. Thank you, Shecodes. I started my coding journey just 2 months ago and I can't believe I made it through all 4 courses. Finishing has a lot do to with the system SheCodes provides, like the fast and helpful responses from the team, the challenges, the homework with deadlines, the projects and a very enthusiastic Matt. Most of the time it felt like bob sliding, high speed through the curves, gravity pulling you from left to right and back again. Reaching the finish line and looking back, I just realize how much I learned during the past two month. It felt so good to be challenged and grow. I feel motivated to build my own apps now and very grateful to SheCodes.
This was such a great course! It was easy to understand but challenging enough that I was able to learn through trial and error with the challenges and homeworks.
I had a lot of fun working through the different practice problems and seeing everything come together in the homework assignments at the end of each week. Every lesson builds upon the last in a neat, stepwise progression that makes learning feel like a bit of a challenge but not difficult. I appreciate how the answers aren't provided but that students are given the information they need to "Google it" and come to workable solutions on their own. Bonus? My daughters think I'm cool now :) That said: I encountered an issue when submitting my first week's homework assignment that has left me troubled. I replicated the provided example but, after review, I was notified that my homework was incomplete; when I checked to see what the problem could be, the link I had previously followed to the example opened a differently-formatted page. I went to Slack to ask if I would be required to reformat my homework despite my submission being a faithful representation of the original example and was answered with a request to post my question in another channel of slack because it was a "technical" problem; because the turnaround time for answers was slow (an as-advertised ~48hr) and I didn't want to wait (and I want to learn), I went ahead and reformatted the assignment. Still, I have two problems with this: 1. Assignments that require students to copy (nearly exactly) an example document should not be graded in comparison to example documents that did not exist at the time the assignment was completed. 2. A support team should provide support, not direct questions to different channels and then definitions of what "technical" means, even if it does mean something different (and so vague as to be meaningless) to them. I asked a question of the support team that pertained to a philosophical question, not a technical question: Considering that I submitted an assignment based upon an incompletely formatted example (that was available to me), would I be required (by the SheCodes team) to continue formatting my assignment to match an example that did not exist (to my eyes) until after I had submitted my assignment? When I indicated that my question was not technical in nature (I had no difficulties creating a document, coding a document to match the example available to me, or submitting a document), I was told that, essentially, all questions are technical questions and if I want an answer I should submit my questions to the proper channel. This is not a free course and it is alarming to me to be paying for support and receiving resistance, instead. Just an FYI. I am learning a lot, but I am someone who enjoys the Googling and searching and fiddling. If I were taking this course with the idea of getting (and receiving) much support from the support team, I'm not sure how that would be going.
I'm very happy with the SheCodes course. Weekly homework helps me stay motivated and the code I can build now is beyond what I hoped for!
I absolutely LOVE SheCodes! I almost went to a different bootcamp/workshop and am so glad I chose Matt and SheCodes instead. I do not have any experience with coding, but through the SheCodes Workshop I've gained the confidence of working with code. The course was well structured and was easy to navigate. I could apply my knowledge from the course through the homework and final project activities. It was a very interesting and informative workshop.

Throughout the whole introduction to the course as well as the course itself Matt Delac constantly supports code-beginners, feeds the feeling in us that 'you can do it! It's OK to make mistakes! Good course, everything is conveniently divided into blocks. Homework gives an opportunity to master the studied technologies. Everything is great.
