I have loved my experience with SheCodes! I began the SheCodes Basic course with no previous coding experience whatsoever, and I am completing the course completely amazed at how much I have learned. Every lesson builds upon each other, which allows you to grow with each challenge you complete. Matt's an incredible teacher, and SheCodes made me feel like I was set up for success!
I'm head over heels for SheCodes! Never in a thousand years would I have ever dreamed of coding anything. Now, I'm developing full web pages! SheCodes was the unwavering hand I needed to guide me into the world of coding. Now that I'm steady on this new path, I won't be looking back!!!

I loved this course. As someone who never thought she would get into coding, this course was not only instructive and helpful, but fun. It has opened a curiosity in me and I hope to move on to the next workshops as well.
I took SheCodes so I can get an idea of what my first CS class in college would look like (also because I am a sucker for anything that battles the gender gap disparity) and to also gain some background knowledge. I loved the course and would like to continue the rest! What a fun way to learn HTML, CSS, and JS. The lessons were short allowing me to absorb the content. The assignments were just tough enough to make me really think, but definitely do-able.
SheCodes Plus had its challenging times, but was a fun and satisfying experience! I'm excited to start the next workshop - Responsive!

I've been interested in learning the basics of coding for a while and I'm glad I decided to sign up for SheCodes Basics. I've tried some of the apps available but nothing stuck. The workshop kept me motivated with the small challenges in each week. By breaking the information down into smaller sections I felt like I was able to see my progress in a tangible way.
The pace, instruction and tools SheCodes provided to learn coding was perfect for my learning style. I would highly recommend to anyone who likes to work at their own pace and is a visual or auditory learner. I loved that there were challenges to check my progress and a community to reach out to when I needed it. If you're looking for an introductory coding course, look no further!

Matt is a great teacher! It is easy to follow along with him because he helps you to understand why a particular code works best. After you turn in your work, you get to watch a video that explains a possible solution. The video also addresses common errors.
This is a great course for both beginners and folks that need a review of the basics. The lessons are just the right length and the challenges go well with each lesson.

After completing SheCodes Basic course I wanted to keep learning and I loved it! SheCodes Basic gets deeper and more challenging, which is great. There is always something you can improve in your code as you're learning and learning more. What I also liked about SheCodes is that you have great resources and the Slack community. I think that there is always a time where you can feel stuck but with Slack, it makes it easier :)
I have learned so much so far by taking SheCodes Basics and Plus! It is really satisfying to have finished this weather project after just starting coding a month ago.

I took this course because I was interested in learning about computer programming and didn't want to spend a lot of money just so I could get a basic overview of what is involved. This course was well worth my time and money and gave me a thorough overview of the basics, as well as opening my eyes to what is involved in computer programming.
What an adventure it has been learning from SheCodes! I could not believe how many skills I learned in a rather short period of time. Each assignment creates a space to practice what we learned in the videos. I loved how I was able to ask questions and connect with classmates in a separate service. It was great to have some extra support or be able to ask a question if I was feeling confused. With having many people, from many countries to talk and learn from, there was always someone or something that helped me understand our lessons deeper. I am grateful that each lesson is a video, which can be rewatched and paused as well as the Caption option since I have impaired hearing. I highly recommend these workshops to anyone who is interested in coding and wants to explore this digital side of creativity.

The basics workshop takes a topic that I once found dense and intimidating and breaks it into easy-to-follow lessons and challenges. As someone fairly new to coding for websites (outside of toggling with MySpace when I was younger), SheCodes was organized in a way that was easy to follow and Matt Delac is a great instructor. I have always been interested in coding. I, unfortunately, was told I was not a good fit for coding when I enrolled in college due to my lifestyle (wife and mother of two). I decided to follow the counselor's advice and in 2020 completed my major in Creative Writing. Throughout my school years, however, I took some coding classes and came across SheCodes--a coding program specifically built for women! Now that I am more confident and have more time for myself, I signed up with SheCodes ^_^ The lessons are broken down in a way that makes learning to code approachable, and the final project truly involved all that I learned. The SheCodes support team was very kind, understanding, and helpful. It's an efficient and easy-to-follow program, I recommend it to all.
This workshop has been incredibly helpful in furthering my professional development. Can't wait to start the next workshop!
Loved this course. It was certainly challenging (more so than the previous workshops) I so appreciated Matt's humbleness though and how he's still perfecting the skill of making webpages responsive. He's an incredible instructor, and the help received on Slack was priceless. I gained a lot of confidence in my coding skills during the workshop and look forward to coding more, in SheCodes continues to impress me as an organization. I love everything they are about, especially their focus to offer training for free in developing countries. So cool! Can't wait for React!
Three weeks ago, I did not know a single thing about coding. Today, I have an idea of the coding field, what it means when people say "coding is a language," essential software used to design websites, and a genuine appreciation for those who code. The lessons Matt created met me where I was at, which was zero experience. Not only was it empowering to see myself coding, but it also showed how relevant it is in my social work career. So fun to see an idea come to life!
SheCodes is the best!! I had little experience with coding prior to taking this workshop and it has helped me learn so many new concepts in a short period of time and I am very confident in my new skills. I can't wait to move on to SheCodes Plus!

This class was truly breathtaking. I really had a great time challenging myself. It was not all easy, however, the great team of coders and other learners are there to assist and guide you. If you are interested in coding and learning about software, I would greatly recommend SheCodes Basics. I'm just a freshman in high school and I was able to do it. That's just how "simple" it is βΊοΈ.

In a few short weeks, I've gone from knowing nothing about coding, to having my first solid footholds into the subject. Quite hands on from the beginning to the end. Excellent instructions easy to follow, but you can still get stuck somewhere and then Slack is the solution where everybody is eager to help and explain.
