I grew up around coding and computers because my dad is programmer/engineer. However, I never saw the luster behind understanding how a computer works and did everything to stay away from it. SheCodes has forever changed that for me. I have fallen in love with coding and I spend multiple hours a day learning and applying what I am learning. I can't wait for the journey this takes me on.

Everything in the workshop was easy to follow, even as a beginner. The lessons were clear, fun, and super engaging. I genuinely enjoyed building the weather app step by step! It was exciting to see my progress come to life, and I’ve learned so much along the way. (Also did external researching as well!) SheCodes is a great program that allows its students to learn and experiment with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as much or as little as they would like while providing great resources through the instructional videos and solution videos, Slack, and teaching how to better utilize google. I appreciate that we were challenged to figure out different elements, functions, and properties in each challenge, and then given a solution at the end, that is a very helpful way for me to learn
I can take my time with my workshops, and they are easy to follow. Great way to learn more!

I highly recommend the SheCodes Basics workshop to anyone remotely interested. It seems incredibly intimidating for true coding beginners such as myself, but trust me, you can do it. The Plus Workshop was fantastic! It really helped me to build on the foundation I built for myself from the Basics Workshop. I gained advanced knowledge with vanilla JavaScript, focusing on API integration, debugging, and code structuring best practices, and was able to create a functional weather application that utilizes real-time data from multiple external APIs. I'm definitely using the project as a part of my portfolio when applying to full-time engineering roles.
SheCodes was so much fun, very elaborate. A really great course to introduce you into the world of coding. Will be purchasing the upgrades to continue learning!

Completing the Plus workshop was a transformative experience. I was able to build more advanced skills with the use of JavaScript. I'm surprised at how much I learned in just 8 weeks and how quickly it came to an end. I was initially worried about completing challenges and homework on time in addition to my current commitments but the coursework was well organized and very manageable.

I really enjoyed the self-directed class format, and the information was explained in a way that made it easy to understand. The homework challenges stretch your skills since you have to find some of the information on your own, but that also helps with knowledge retention. I am so happy I took these classes, so I can understand basic coding enough to help me in my digital marketing work.
