SheCodes Basic has been such a fun experience! I started out not knowing a thing about computers and was a little nervous about whether I would understand everything, but I didn't have a problem at all! Matt explained every step in such great detail and now I feel so much more confident in my ability to move on to the next workshop! I think SheCodes is a great platform for all!
I took a Linux Systems Administration course which includes scripting. When I was successful at writing my first script to build an apache web server, it gave me so much joy that I was successful. My instructor then suggested to me that I could look into coding since I like writing scripts. So, I developed an interest in learning about coding. So far, I found this coding workshop interesting because I learned a lot, and I could practice my creativity in the final project. After a long day at my fulltime job, I found myself still having so much passion for learning how to code because the topics were mentally captivating. I am thankful for the opportunity to sign up for this workshop.
I am thrilled that I took the plunge with SheCodes. Matt is thorough and the classes are the perfect speed. I would recommend this class to anyone who is curious about leaning more about coding. So worth it!!!

I am currently a French teacher at two high schools in Tucson, AZ. I have been interested in learning how to code for some time, and now I can say I built a functional weather app! I am so happy with the progress that I've made so far with SheCodes Basics and SheCodes Plus, and I can't wait to see what SheCodes Responsive and SheCodes React have in store!
SheCodes is the best course out there for those who are new to the coding world! It felt so rewarding when I could read the code and understand the logic behind the syntax. Absolutely loved learning how to make my first weather application! It was definitely difficult but SheCodes pushed me to create something I never thought was possible for myself. I highly recommend the SheCodes Plus program if you are looking to learn a new skill.

This was the best experience learning to code for me. I was an absolute beginner when I started. Before I took this class, I never imagined I would be able to code. Matt does a great job of starting you off small, so that you feel victories as you go along to keep you motivated. All of the information about the programming languages was up to date information. This is much better than trying to go it alone. I enjoyed the final project so much and I would recommend SheCodes to any ladies I know that want to learn.

This course was very well explained and broken down, the information was really easy to process. The instructional videos were short and packed with all the information you need to learn to code , the homework was challenging, which was great to investigate further, use your logic and come out with your own solutions!
I love SheCodes workshop!!! This was fun and easy way to learn coding. I learned a little bit when I took web design class in college but, it was difficult to understand. Taking this workshop, watching the videos, doing the challenges, and homework made it help. I recommend anyone to take this workshop. Great for beginners!
Learning to code has been a goal of mine since I started college. With 6 years of professional experience to speak from, I now know the importance and value of learning basic coding skills that you can apply in the workplace. The SheCodes curriculum was seamless in helping me start to build my coding toolbox. Although my coding journey has only just begun, SheCodes has definitely helped me build a strong foundation, and I will surely be back for more!

First week was very challenging!! But the second and third week were a lot easier. Matt was a great teacher. And as I studied things became a lot easier.
This course has been awesome! Such wonderful support and teaching. I was a bit intimidated to start a coding course from knowing little to nothing about it, but this has been an excellent start. Itβs been very rewarding as well, I feel comfortable with VS code and am motivated to keep going.

At first I was wary of doing coding. I've always wanted to do it but didn't know if I would enjoy it. When I took Matts free hour class I decided to jump fully in and I have loved every minute of it. His course is just the right amount of teaching but also a challenge to where you need to figure it out on your own. I liked that the groups on slack where available 24/7 where you can ask questions or see other student questions that could help you get through the course. I really enjoyed this class and cant wait to begin shecodes plus!

I cannot even begin to describe how amazing it feels to have learned so much in just a three-week workshop. I started out more or less knowing only that HTML, CSS and JavaScript were things that exist in the world and now, I'm building full pages using all three. I am so happy I gave SheCodes a try, I had no idea just how much I would love coding and plan to continue my journey in hopes of opening new doors with an eventual career change, all thanks to the Matt and the SheCodes crew.
I am so happy I decided to take the SheCodes basics course! I learned so much in the short time and loved the hands-on way Matt teaches to code. It was so interesting coming from a background in UX UI Design to see how that translates into front-end development. Excited to continue learning!

A great introduction course for learning the basics and really suited my learning style. The lessons were very thorough and Matt provided great explanations and framing of coding concepts. The challenges covered concepts discussed in the lessons but sometimes required a little extra research; all great preparation to learn how to solve problems and utilize the countless resources online.
Thoroughly enjoyed the course and found it to be a very informative introduction to coding.
Starting SheCodes, I was in a bad place worrying about my future and the type of person I want to become. SheCodes was a great refresher for me for HTML and CSS and an intro to Java Script. I learned so much in just a short period of time.
The bootcamp is perfect! Everybody was helpfull, and it was easy to understand.

Challenging course, but overall very informative.
Building a weather app was super challenging and at the same time super rewarding. SheCodes does a great job at guiding you through the process of building your first application. Matt is a wonderful instructor and the best of it all, the app is actually live; with real data! Invest in yourself and take the time to learn how to code!
I'm proud to have taken the next step continuing from SheCodes basic to plus! It was truly a great experience to learn more about coding and diving deeper into knowing about API's and hosting a site. It was challenging but the experience was worth it and it was fun to see everything come together while building my weather application from start to finish!

Wow! I found out I am autistic and ADHD this year after 25 years of feeling very lost and broken-- for so long I thought coding and schooling was something completely inaccessible to me! I tried this in a faithful leap towards re-imagining a future where I communicate deeper and can offer creative skills; ultimately to be an autonomous adult. This workshop is SO thought through, navigable, and encouraging! I confidently understand the content, I genuinely enjoy solving the puzzles of coding, and I am thrilled with curiosity for all the possibilities and lessons to come! Now, on to SheCodes Plus!
SheCodes took what felt like an impenetrable language and made it accessible in a way I hadn't expected. I absolutely feel like this is something I can do and I'm so excited to continue learning!
SheCodes' Basic course was so fun and easy to follow. I came from zero coding background and was concerned about taking a coding course while also working 40+ hours a week. I am SO GLAD that I did! I learned so much, gained a ton of confidence, and am excited to learn more about coding!
The first week was the hardest yet most interesting! I think I had the most trouble with the button and giving it actions. I did however love playing with designs and gradients made it really fun!
This isn't easy, but it's worth it!

This was a pretty neat introduction to coding! π I'm super glad I took this course. I just wish Matt explained things in a little more detailπ. I know I should get used to googling things. But, I found myself doing this too often at the end of a lesson. For a class that I paid for, I feel like he should have gone into more detail. π but I really enjoyed it, over all! The pace was *perfect* and it was super easy to pick up the info!
This workshop was amazing and I learned quite a bit, really helped introduce me to the world of coding, can't wait to learn more throughout high school!
This course along with the basic and plus courses make everything feel well rounded and complete. I would recommend taking this after those but before React if you plan on taking that; Responsive is a little more slow pace compared to React. The skills in this course are a must for web design and it was packed full of information, and so much fun!
SheCodes is a highly engaging and well-organized introduction to coding. I had a great time!
I have made my career in technical support for seven and a half years, but I recently had the opportunity to work in software quality assurance for a few months. It's a career path I'd love to explore more, so I took SheCodes Basics to expand my skillset. I will likely continue with SheCodes Plus later this year.

SheCodes Plus has been a fantastic experience that has pushed my skills and abilities. This has been a valuable experience that has made me more confident. My time working on SheCodes exercises has been fun and the best part of my week. It seems like there is endless information about coding available on the internet, but I have NEVER experienced such eloquent instruction. The structure of the class helped me string together previous knowledge and new tools seamlessly.

I've been attempting to learn coding for the past 2 years. This course is a introduction to coding. I plan on furthering my education with SheCodes and switching career path to tech soon!
I started this workshop knowing nothing about coding, but I now feel confident in my coding skills! I loved the self-paced as it fits right in with my busy schedule. I have a hard time focusing on videos, but these interactives, straight-to-the-point made it easier for me to focus and learn.
Matt broke down the concepts into short, easy to understand lessons. Not many can teach effectively, especially something as abstract as coding, but he does it so well.
SheCodes Plus was a perfect edition to SheCodes Basics. There was a nice review of the first class (HML, CSS, JavaScript). The final project was super fun to build and fun to show off!
