Great for beginners!
Learning to code has been a goal of mine since I started college. With 6 years of professional experience to speak from, I now know the importance and value of learning basic coding skills that you can apply in the workplace. The SheCodes curriculum was seamless in helping me start to build my coding toolbox. Although my coding journey has only just begun, SheCodes has definitely helped me build a strong foundation, and I will surely be back for more!

I really appreciate Matt's teaching style. He makes learning to code less intimidating. I can proudly refer to myself as a coder now.
Being completely unfamiliar with coding and web development, SheCodes really helped me feel confident in my decision to explore alternate career paths. Matt's lessons were simple to follow and his explanations made sense. I am excited to continue my coding journey!
First week was very challenging!! But the second and third week were a lot easier. Matt was a great teacher. And as I studied things became a lot easier.
This course has been awesome! Such wonderful support and teaching. I was a bit intimidated to start a coding course from knowing little to nothing about it, but this has been an excellent start. Itβs been very rewarding as well, I feel comfortable with VS code and am motivated to keep going.
I thoroughly enjoyed the material covered in the Basics workshop. Mattβs teaching style is inclusive, cumulative and clear. Iβm excited to see where the new tools Iβve acquired will take me. I would highly recommend the course to anyone feeling βstuckβ or βbehindβ as an introduction to a new skill set!

This workshop was very informative, challenging, and fun! I am amazed at what I have been able to create on my own.
At first I was wary of doing coding. I've always wanted to do it but didn't know if I would enjoy it. When I took Matts free hour class I decided to jump fully in and I have loved every minute of it. His course is just the right amount of teaching but also a challenge to where you need to figure it out on your own. I liked that the groups on slack where available 24/7 where you can ask questions or see other student questions that could help you get through the course. I really enjoyed this class and cant wait to begin shecodes plus!
Really enjoyed coding with SheCodes! SheCodes helps me to use my free time wisely in this pandemic situation. Its challenging fun and amazing to learn with SheCodes!
I cannot even begin to describe how amazing it feels to have learned so much in just a three-week workshop. I started out more or less knowing only that HTML, CSS and JavaScript were things that exist in the world and now, I'm building full pages using all three. I am so happy I gave SheCodes a try, I had no idea just how much I would love coding and plan to continue my journey in hopes of opening new doors with an eventual career change, all thanks to the Matt and the SheCodes crew.
I am so happy I decided to take the SheCodes basics course! I learned so much in the short time and loved the hands-on way Matt teaches to code. It was so interesting coming from a background in UX UI Design to see how that translates into front-end development. Excited to continue learning!
I've had an amazing experience with my SheCodes Basic program. The courses are easy to understand and the Slack group has been really helpful when I get stuck. Would definitely recommend it!
A great introduction course for learning the basics and really suited my learning style. The lessons were very thorough and Matt provided great explanations and framing of coding concepts. The challenges covered concepts discussed in the lessons but sometimes required a little extra research; all great preparation to learn how to solve problems and utilize the countless resources online.
Thoroughly enjoyed the course and found it to be a very informative introduction to coding.
Starting SheCodes, I was in a bad place worrying about my future and the type of person I want to become. I still have no clue what I want but SheCodes has given me a purpose these last few weeks and for that I am grateful and I learned that coding is something I am very much interested in. SheCodes is an amazing establishment and has taught me so much and I will continue learning. I am very grateful for this entire experience.

I did it! I feel like I've really earned this course in React. It's not easy, but understanding each step and working through issues on my own is so rewarding!

SheCodes was a great refresher for me for HTML and CSS and an intro to Java Script. I learned so much in just a short period of time.
The bootcamp is perfect! Everybody was helpfull, and it was easy to understand.
So far I have really enjoyed the weekly workshops. Matt explains things clearly and it's nice to go back and rewatch the videos if I feel like I need to refresh. I am happy I found SheCodes. Moving on to SheCodes Plus.
I have absolutely no experience in Coding, but during the pandemic I started looking into it I finally took the leap of faith and joined SheCodes. I am truly excited to see where this takes me and the doors it will open. Thank you to the instructor, fellow student and Matt who are very helpful with lesson, homework and projects. Challenging course, but overall very informative.
Building a weather app was super challenging and at the same time super rewarding. SheCodes does a great job at guiding you through the process of building your first application. Matt is a wonderful instructor and the best of it all, the app is actually live; with real data! Invest in yourself and take the time to learn how to code!
I'm proud to have taken the next step continuing from SheCodes basic to plus! It was truly a great experience to learn more about coding and diving deeper into knowing about API's and hosting a site. It was challenging but the experience was worth it and it was fun to see everything come together while building my weather application from start to finish!

This course is absolutely fantastic! Coding concepts and projects are broken down into small, more digestible chunks that makes it easy to understand and not seem overwhelming. I would recommend this 8-week class to anyone who is interested in learning to code or who is looking to expand their digital marketing skills. Plus, you can learn at your own pace!
I learned a great deal through the Responsive course. The classes are informative and easy to follow, while giving students room to experiment and make mistakes. I feel more confident in my coding skills after taking this course, and I'm excited to see what I can create with React next!
The SheCodes Basics course was perfect for me! I have had some experience with coding, but nowhere near what I know now. This course was a major game changer for my transition into tech.
Wow! I found out I am autistic and ADHD this year after 25 years of feeling very lost and broken-- for so long I thought coding and schooling was something completely inaccessible to me! I tried this in a faithful leap towards re-imagining a future where I communicate deeper and can offer creative skills; ultimately to be an autonomous adult. This workshop is SO thought through, navigable, and encouraging! I confidently understand the content, I genuinely enjoy solving the puzzles of coding, and I am thrilled with curiosity for all the possibilities and lessons to come! Now, on to SheCodes Plus!
SheCodes took what felt like an impenetrable language and made it accessible in a way I hadn't expected. I absolutely feel like this is something I can do and I'm so excited to continue learning!
SheCodes' Basic course was so fun and easy to follow. I came from zero coding background and was concerned about taking a coding course while also working 40+ hours a week. I am SO GLAD that I did! I learned so much, gained a ton of confidence, and am excited to learn more about coding!
The first week was the hardest yet most interesting! I think I had the most trouble with the button and giving it actions. I did however love playing with designs and gradients made it really fun!
This isn't easy, but it's worth it!

I enjoyed the projects and pace of the course. I would recommend but I also think you may need secondary sources of information to finish the projects.

This was a pretty neat introduction to coding! π I'm super glad I took this course. I just wish Matt explained things in a little more detailπ. I know I should get used to googling things. But, I found myself doing this too often at the end of a lesson. For a class that I paid for, I feel like he should have gone into more detail. π but I really enjoyed it, over all! The pace was *perfect* and it was super easy to pick up the info!
This workshop was amazing and I learned quite a bit, really helped introduce me to the world of coding, can't wait to learn more throughout high school!
This course along with the basic and plus courses make everything feel well rounded and complete. I would recommend taking this after those but before React if you plan on taking that; Responsive is a little more slow pace compared to React. The skills in this course are a must for web design and it was packed full of information, and so much fun!
SheCodes is a highly engaging and well-organized introduction to coding. I had a great time!
I have made my career in technical support for seven and a half years, but I recently had the opportunity to work in software quality assurance for a few months. It's a career path I'd love to explore more, so I took SheCodes Basics to expand my skillset. I will likely continue with SheCodes Plus later this year.

SheCodes Plus has been a fantastic experience that has pushed my skills and abilities. This has been a valuable experience that has made me more confident. My time working on SheCodes exercises has been fun and the best part of my week. The final project is something to show off to prospective employers, but it is also practical and something I will use every day.

It seems like there is endless information about coding available on the internet, but I have NEVER experienced such eloquent instruction. The structure of the class helped me string together previous knowledge and new tools seamlessly.
SheCodes has been a great way to initiate my understanding of code. I love using real tools to generate projects and feel confident in what I've learned so far.
I am trying to get into my dream job with Robotics, unfortunately everyone is looking for coding these days. I have not coded since college! To have my credentials updated and within a short amount of time is perfect to get my life started correctly.

Matt's style of teaching gave me practical, hands-on experience on a weekly basis so that by the time I got to the final project I felt equipped to pull from the skills learned in previous weeks. I've been attempting to learn coding for the past 2 years. This course is a introduction to coding. I plan on furthering my education with SheCodes and switching career path to tech soon!
I started this workshop knowing nothing about coding, but I now feel confident in my coding skills! I loved the self-paced as it fits right in with my busy schedule. I have a hard time focusing on videos, but these interactives, straight-to-the-point made it easier for me to focus and learn.
Matt broke down the concepts into short, easy to understand lessons. Not many can teach effectively, especially something as abstract as coding, but he does it so well.
SheCodes Plus was a perfect edition to SheCodes Basics. There was a nice review of the first class (HML, CSS, JavaScript). The final project was super fun to build and fun to show off!

I have loved my experience with SheCodes! I began the SheCodes Basic course with no previous coding experience whatsoever, and I am completing the course completely amazed at how much I have learned.
