This workshop was amazing. It helps me think about problem-solving on a daily basis. My next goal is to start doing some coding challenges to build a more solid foundation of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I am treating coding like a gym to build more muscle.

Learning to code was initially extremely overwhelming for me. I didn't know where to start and even while trying to learn, it felt like I wasn't actually learning anything. I'm so glad I found SheCodes. These videos were digestible, the challenges really helped ensure I understood the material and the advice was realistic.

I really enjoyed this self-paced course. I could learn as fast or as slow as I needed depending on the topics. It can be so scary to start something new in any facet of your life, but this journey has been so rewarding. I am a novice to the world of coding, but the way this course was taught made it easy to learn all the new information. There were a few times I needed extra help, including asking for extensions, and everyone was very helpful and nice. I would recommend this course to everyone, again and again!
These three weeks were challenging as I never coded before. SheCodes has provided me with all the tools and resources to start a new path! I am so excited to continue with all of the other courses.
I cannot stand where I am currently career-wise in life and have been thinking about coding for a while. My friend tried out this workshop and said it was very beneficial. So I thought I would give it a try as well. And I quite enjoyed the workshop, however I do feel as if just a little more instruction would be nice for a few things, but I eventually got the hang of it. I enjoyed taking this course and am very curious as to how to do more things with javascript. Thank you for being able to provide some instructions for those that know nothing of code! This was indeed helpful and I look forward to doing more coding.

I loved the 3-week Basics course! It was a great refresher of HTML and CSS, and Javascript finally makes sense now. I tried learning it a few years ago, and I just couldn't get it. Matt made it so much easier to understand! I'm looking forward to continuing my education with SheCodes!
SheCodes Basics was a wonderful workshop! Matt teaches in an easy-to-understand and clear way. The challenges at the end of the lessons and the final project were a lot of fun to complete. I would definitely recommend this workshop, especially if you're a true beginner. You're provided guidance, structure, and helpful resources. Take notes, make google your best friend, try things out, and practice daily.
This was very enjoyable material to learn. The way Matt breaks down each week's topics makes keeping up with and digesting the material very easy. He is a great teacher. Also, making my own landing page felt amazing; seeing my page come to life and acknowledging that just 2 weeks ago I had no idea how to work with html, css and javascript... I'm just blown away. I'm really looking forward to the next set of workshops to build on my skills!!
Learning with SheCodes has been better than I expected. Matt explains everything in a way that anyone could understand. I joined SheCodes because I want to build a skill while also being creative. I loved taking Matt's course and he explains things a lot better than other resources and I've tried several while self-learning. I think it's great how I can always refer back to SheCodes for learning resources. He simplifies a complex process and makes coding exciting! It is also great that the SheCodes team can help everyone figure out their errors and correct themselves versus struggling to fix the code which could take much longer, save yourself the time and stress and take the course!
When I first joined SheCodes I was expecting a lot of difficult learning, for some reason and when it started it was easy and fun. It took me a while to finish just three weeks because I am studying in college. I could have finished sooner if I wasn't such a big procrastinator as well. π I ended up just enjoying coding so much I decided to see if there are any degrees at school I can do coding in. Since I did this just for fun I never thought id end up finding out that I have a passion for something more than sleeping, gaming, and anime. π
After finishing SheCodes Basics, I got a message from Matt asking what my next steps were in my coding journey. I had already enrolled in a longer Full-Stack bootcamp so I told him that I had only planned on taking the SheCodes Basics workshop as an intro into coding. Well, a few weeks into the longer bootcamp and I missed Matt's teaching style and the layout of SheCodes so much that I signed up for SheCodes Plus and attempted both courses at the same time! π Not only was SheCodes Plus an amazing experience that grew my knowledge and confidence in coding, but it helped me understand concepts I was also learning in my longer bootcamp. I can't say enough good things about SheCodes. Will I sign up for SheCodes Responsive next, even though I am still in my bootcamp? The answer is probably, most likely! π Thank you SheCodes! π
This was a great workshop for those wanting to discover web development and develop basic coding skills. I used to feel apprehensive about learning JavaScript, but after this workshop, I feel very excited to keep learning it and discovering all it can do!

In the words of Kurt Vonnegut, "True terror is to wake up one morning and discover that your high school class is running the country." After a year of wage-cucking (trying to salvage the table-scraps that are left of my life), I realized that the only way to take control of my life is by coding... SheCodes fits my budget. I don't have $10,000 to invest, because I don't even have $5 for lunch.
Learned a lot! Was never too overwhelmed and was able to do the challenges as a beginner. I do wish my homework and projects had a detail report on things I could improve on. But the team is great and pretty quick on answering in slack and emails.
This was my second course at SheCodes, and it was fantastic. Learning and building a project at the same time with Matt's mentoring, was so worthy. I keep recommending him as a teacher because he's very generous with his knowledge and shares best practices that make a difference in a professional setting. Now that I've finished this SheCodes plus, I feel even more motivated to keep learning and honing my skills as a coder. Thank you!
SheCodes Plus was great! It was challenging at times, but I had fun building the weather app and trying to understand javascript. I'm excited to continue onto the next workshop :)

This SheCodes Basics course is the first step towards my career change to being a front-end developer. Matt and the team makes this course so interactive, so there are many opportunities to practice :) I'm so amazed that I was able to create a web page from scratch after 2 weeks!! SheCodes is great, the weekly learning goals and daily challenges keep you up to pace with the learnings. After the Basics workshop I still find it challenging but coding became a lot more accessible to me.

SheCodes is great! I love how engaging and easily digestible each lesson is. The instructor, Matt, offers a lot of helpful tips and resources along the way to help you even after you finish the program. As a full-time working mom of two young children, I especially appreciate how flexible the program is. I have done a lot of research on coding workshops, and this was one of the few that had flexible schedules, relevant course material, all for an affordable price. Highly recommend!

I studied Linguistics in college. I was also fascinated by computer languages but was always unsure I could succeed in coding. SheCodes basics gave me the opportunity to try it out. I only wish I had tried this sooner!
I love SheCodes! Matt makes everything very easy to understand and even when I get stuck, other members are on Slack who might be having the same issue and you will find what you need. Matt even encourages you to google when you can't find an answer on Slack. I've only gotten stuck twice and found the solution easily by ways of Slack or a simple google search. The homework and projects are a great way to put everything I've learned into action and it's fun for me at the same time. Thank you, SheCodes!

The way SheCodes is set up really lends for success. The instructions are very clear, with lots of clarifying details, and there is plenty of support should you need help. This is by far the most comprehensive coding course I have come across.

Great for having some structure and deadlines to hold yourself to while you learn how to code. The amount of material is also very achievable to get through when you are limited on extra time to commit to learning (approx. 5 hours / week compared to 10+ hours with other programs). I also like the nice mix of bite size videos and exercises to get hands on practice with the concepts. Best way to start out my mornings learning new skills.
It was a great introduction to see if coding was for me. It was easy enough to follow Matt's directions but with enough challenge to make you feel comfortable enough to find the solution yourself. This program not only taught me basic coding but also gave me confidence to continue learning to code and apply new jobs.

Great course! It was fun and informative, and Matt is always quick to give little pieces of advice (like knowing when a feature is too complicated to be worth your time!). This course structure wasn't quite as smooth as Basics, but people were always ready to clear up confusion on Slack. SheCodes is very flexible! It's great, but if you're someone who needs a lot of structure and encouragement/accountability to finish something, expect that you'll have to seek it out. It is absolutely available on Slack, but you need to seek it out, no babysitting here :-)
I've been eager to learn about coding, and learned about SheCodes and it's been to helpful taking these classes!
Whether you're a front end coder, or coding for inner office finance practices, all coding is good. It is interrelated. Your first priority should be to begin this education with good equipment. Highly recommended.
Matt's videos are very instructive so we can easily follow them. The best part is I didn't even notice that I was working on the challenges and homework, because to me I was just having a lot of fun. I also loved the self-paced learning, which may be challenging at times but with discipline and passion, any dedicated student can do it.
I really enjoyed this course! It was a good refresher on my HTML and CSS skills while tacking on JavaScript. Matt also did a really good job at breaking down complex concepts.
