Loved SheCodes Plus! I learned so much and the weather app challenge was the perfect way to test what I've learned. I have absolutely no background in coding or computer science and to look at the app and think "I created that" is very fulfilling! Can't wait for React next!

When I was in college pursuing my Bachelors degree in print journalism with a minor in creative writing, I had come across coding and found it very interesting. Once I graduated in 2013, life got in the way specifically breathing (chronic asthmatic) I never got the chance to pursue coding more until now. My breathing is better and once I came across SheCodes I knew this was the place for me. I am excited for this new journey and for the knowledge to come!
I feel like SheCodes is such a game-changer for me. Starting with zero knowledge and now having the background to create my own website is truly amazing. I have learned so much and have gained a lot of confidence in my coding ability.
Before starting SheCodes, I was a complete beginner at coding. I was nervous and afraid to start because I thought I would not be able to do it. However, Matt is an amazing teacher and I learned so much through this workshop! I'm very glad I joined and got to increase my knowledge of coding!
When I started 2 weeks ago, I was a novice to coding- I mean a complete beginner, and I will admit did not even think if this was something I was capable of doing. 2 weeks later, I am creating a landing page. I was looking for a bootcamp to relearn how to code from scratch when I came across SheCodes. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I picked up in just a few weeks in the SheCodes Basics workshop. The lessons are delivered in such a compact manner that you don't feel overwhelmed at all. This course has greatly renewed my interest in learning how to properly code, and I plan to enroll in additional workshops soon to further my skills.
I always was afraid of coding and didn't think of myself to start learning it, but Matt's clear teaching style and the Basics workshop curriculum have changed my mind about coding and made me enjoy it! I'm looking forward to starting the advanced workshops and now thinking of it as a career change instead of just a hobby!

I've loved coding since junior high, but a lack of classes teaching it left me without a way to learn, to the extent of me almost completely forgetting that I had that passion at all. I've been looking for new things to try, new learning opportunities that I could potentially turn into a career. SheCodes is definitely that avenue. I've rediscovered that passion I had when I was a kid, and I'm getting to develop it in a way that I hadn't thought of before. I can't wait to continue on this journey!

This was the perfect way to - affordably - dip my toe into the world of coding! I would highly recommend for folks who are curious about coding, but maybe aren't ready or able to throw $15k-$25k at an immersive bootcamp. I was skeptical with how quickly or proficiently I could learn HTML, CSS, and JS in just 3 short weeks....I am pleasantly happy to share that it is possible! I take each lesson day by day and personally decide where I need to spend more time learning. I love this flexibility. If you need more time, they are accommodating but still have high expectations for completion. The final project was so much fun and I enjoyed my time creating my own site about cavapoos! I highly recommend. I will be moving on to the next part of the course and I am excited to continue this journey.

An excellent course for total beginners! I had no previous coding experience and was concerned coding would be difficult. However, Matt breaks down the information into small steps and the challenges allow you to practice what you have just learned. I was able to immediately begin creating my own code! It was fun, interesting, and easy to understand. I really enjoyed creating my final project and I'm excited to begin SheCodes Plus!
SheCodes Basics was broken into manageable bite-sized pieces, and the instruction was accessible and nonintimidating. I enjoyed working through the challenges and having my homework checked each week. It was definitely a good course to get my feet wet - Who knows, I might take the plunge into SheCodes Plus or Pro!

Matt was an articulate instructor and very talented at translating scripts into easily digestible concepts. I was able to reinforce my understanding of coding basics quickly--I had not had to write any code in over ten years, and re-learned everything in three weeks, as promised. The coursework was fun and comprehensive, and the videos made it easy to rewatch if I missed anything.
At first I was a little scared because I have no coding background. But the lessons were so thorough and easy to follow. It was truly a great course, in every way! Knowing that you can always get support on Slack or ask for a deadline extension makes all the unnecessary stress go away and you can just focus on learning. Thank you SheCodes team!

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire SheCodes Basics workshop. I had some prior experience with coding before the workshop, but the way this was taught here was fantastic! I learned new things and the lessons rejuvenated my love for coding. JavaScript was actually fun in this workshop and I didn't think that was possible. I highly recommend this workshop to women who want to learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript but don't know where to start. I can't wait to start the next SheCodes workshop!
I found out about SheCodes accidently, when scrolling through Facebook. I had graduated from college two years ago and wanted to broaden my skill set so I would have more opportunities. I didn't have any experience with coding whatsoever but I decided to give it a try and sign up for a free coding class and then SheCodes Basics. I just completed the workshop today and I'm about to continue my journey with coding but I can already say that it was a good decision! During those 3 weeks, I learned a tremendous amount of information and I'm excited to see what's next! Also, I'm happy that I had a chance to explore the 'mysterious' world of coding!

I've tried to learn on my own through three separate providers and SheCodes was by far the best one for me! I'm a new mom and a full-time Product Manager for a fortune 100 company so the most important thing for me was a program that didn't take up a lot of my time but held me to a deadline. SheCodes gives you the right amount of know-how and support tools to be able to go into the homework on your own -all within a couple of hours a day. The other thing I found better than previous learn-to-code programs was the fact you're using a real text-editor and web-page from the start. I feel really confident and ready to go further into my coding journey!
The Workshop is great. I might take another workshop if I am not too busy with work. I loved it! The Challenges are challenging, the demos are great too.

This workshop was great for beginners because I felt like I was introduced to the coding world pretty well. The challenges and homework keeps the pace going but isn't too fast or difficult to understand. The lessons build on each other nicely. I feel ready to keep learning.

I absolutely loved this class! I started out by attending the 1-hour free coding class from an Instagram ad, then ended up buying the basics class the following day and I have not looked back since! Matt does an amazing job explaining everything from the bottom up and does it where anyone can understand it. I was able to learn so much and have great resources that I had no problem with this final project. I had just a smidge of previous experience in coding from a semester in college (and those good ol' Myspace days!) and wanted to continue to learn more so that I can broaden my career opportunities in tech. If you're STILL hesitating to sign up, just DO IT, GIRL! Invest in yourself and your future, you will be thankful that you did.

I'll be honest: I was intimidated by the idea of learning to code for quite some time. I thought that because I am a clinician and work in healthcare, there would be no way that this would click with my background and skills. However, I was super surprised by how much fun I had doing this course! All of the lessons were very easy to absorb without feeling overwhelmed, and I loved that there were so many different ways for me to go back and review different concepts if I was stuck (e.g., videos, examples/models, support from staff, Slack). If any other women in my life ask about where to start with coding, I will be sure to refer them here.
In the short span of three weeks I feel more confident in my HTML, CSS, and Javascript coding skills. The course was well structured which made it easy to follow along and get assistance if needed as well. Ready to put these new skills to use and continue to learn more!
I was TOTALLY new at coding. I started off shaky at first. I couldnβt see how I would ever get it! But I am happy to say I am starting to understand, and even figured out a solution in my final project not necessarily covered in class. I realized that I CAN do this! Hey everyone! It's so cool to be here. I have always loved technology but never felt I would be able to grasp coding. I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and am a Crisis Counselor so I have zero experience in tech. I was always intimidated to take any computer courses as I felt I wouldn't fit in since tech is a male-dominated industry. When I found, "SheCodes" I was ecstatic! Although challenging, I found the material I learned valuable and fascinating. I hope to learn more!

I've always wanted to learn coding but felt it "wasn't for me" because it's such a male-dominated world. SheCodes made it feel accessible and fun! The courses are engaging, well organized and easy to follow, plus the activities and homework really cement your learning of the core concepts (far more effective than just watching a video). I would highly recommend SheCodes for introductory learning. As a full-time working single parent, I appreciated the pace of the class and hands-on learning from the weekly challenges.
The pace and examples in this workshop were well-thought-out and clearly demonstrated the goals for each lesson. Written summaries of the content were helpful in looking back and reviewing quickly without having to re-watch videos, and the workflow overall made for a really positive and supportive experience!

SheCodes Plus was definitely a challenging workshop. There were a few moments where I felt really stuck. Luckily, the team on Slack helped me quite promptly and was very helpful in general when addressing students' concerns. This aspect is why I'm so glad I took this course. It's very easy to feel lost and isolated when you are taking an online course. I never felt that way during this workshop, and I'm proud of the work I did! I'm taking the React workshop next.
Coding has always seemed so daunting but I always had an interest in it.
