I loved this workshop! As a complete beginner, I wasn't sure what to expect. I just had a curiosity about coding and was looking for a potential career pivot. I loved the basics workshop and fell head over heels for coding. The workshop is great if you're like me and are seeking structure and guidance. Access to Slack message board was extremely helpful whenever I got stuck on a challenge or homework. Looking forward to more workshops with SheCodes!

I was working in the banking industry for 4 years, and although I am grateful for all I have learned on the job, I had an increase curiosity for coding! As I learned more and more, I knew coding is what I wanted to do ! I am immensely grateful for SheCodes!

I've been learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for about 3 months. I decided to study full-time and teach myself how to code because this is my dream career. I understand HTML, CSS, and a little bit of JavaScript. The problem that I was facing was how to connect all three. That's where SheCodes comes in. SheCodes has given me the confidence to continue my coding journey. After completing the beginners workshop I feel so much more confident and so happy that I was able to see my progress. This huge progress happened in literally two weeks. The first week was very intense because a lot of material was being covered but after the first week, I felt so confident and saw how much growth I had made in just one week. The satisfaction of seeing my three projects come to life was amazing. The final project was what really made me realize how much I truly enjoy coding and creating things.

I had so much fun in the basic course and excited to start SheCodes Plus and then Pro! The lessons were amazing and conveniently fit into my mommy/student schedule. I love that I learned a new, useful skill that will hopefully take my tiny business to the next level!

Easy to follow crash course in the basics of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Can be a bit brisk at times for brand-new beginners, but overall a really good introductory class.

I have had so much fun for the past 3 weeks with SheCodes Basics! I can't believe how much I have learned in just 3 weeks. I have been working as an IT Service Desk Analyst for 10 years and I was desperately looking for something better. I have been working closely with our development team for the past 2 years. At first, I was so intimidated sitting in their meetings because I didn't understand a thing and I thought you had to be some kind of genius to do that kind of work. Then slowly I began to understand what they were talking about and became familiar with some of the lingo. I started wondering if I could do it too. I tried two other learning programs online and became frustrated and felt defeated. Then I saw an advertisement on a YouTube video for SheCodes and decided to check it out. I'm so glad I did! After watching the free introductory class I knew this was it for me and it would change my life. I signed up for all of the workshops and I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus! The short video lessons are the perfect way for me to learn and I love the challenges, homework, and deadlines! I need structure to keep me on track. I had been wanting to join a coding course for months but I was unsure how to go about joining one. When I came across SheCodes I knew it was the perfect start to my coding journey! I was a little nervous about taking a full online course, but the SheCodes set up makes it easy to follow. I like Matt's teaching style

The course is engaging and the material is organized in a way which is easy to follow. The challenges are helpful to prepare us for the final project and I felt prepared to tackle the project with the lessons Matt provided. The schedule was important for me to make sure I was meeting deadlines (I am quite the procrastinator) and I am excited to start my next workshop with Matt!

It was surprisingly fun, quick and easy. I feel as if I now I know have the knowledge to find the resources I need to build a basic page.

I enjoyed the challenge of learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and more in 3 weeks! The pacing was easy to maintain with a full-time job due to the self-pacing nature of the course. Having real-time support was a plus and I am excited to continue my coding journey.

I was nervous and slightly overwhelmed at the thought of coding. The SheCodes team did an AWESOME job creating an easy to follow curriculum to allow a novice to get some coding experience under her belt. I loved going through the lessons and look forward to signing up for more workshops soon!

SheCodes is a great course with lots to offer! I decided to take this course after graduating college, as I'm not sure what career I want to pursue. SheCodes opened my eyes to the coding world, has helped me with my ambition, and given me a stronger sense of direction. This is the first time I have ever coded in my life and I was super nervous at first. Matt's lessons are broken down into small increments and the challenges make it very easy to check your learning at your own pace. I love that I can pause the video, try something and go back and rewatch if I need. The community is also very supportive if you have any questions along the way! I am super exicted to start the next workshop!

I started this workshop with no knowledge of any coding languages. I thought it would be overwhelming, if not impossible. However, every lesson is crafted so perfectly that it's easy for anyone to learn! I completed the Basics workshop, and will definitely sign up for the SheCodes Plus workshop. SheCodes is very easy to use and everyone is very helpful. I learned a lot fairly quickly and found it easy to navigate once I got the hang of it. Highly recommend the basics course if you are looking to learn something new on your free time.You can work on your own pace which is great. I will most likely sign up for SheCodes Plus in the near future.

After years of putting this off and thinking I wasn't smart enough, or didn't have enough time, I've discovered a new love and career path! Originally signed up due to a recent promotion however, with this new-found knowledge and love for Coding I can't wait to learn more!

I think this was a great intro or refresher course to the world of HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I have a pretty good working knowledge base in HTML and CSS but I've never done any work with Javascript. This course refreshed some skills and helped introduce me into the world of javascript in a beginner friendly fashion. 😁

Very in-depth and a great intro to beginner basics!

This workshop felt like a great way to reintroduce myself to the basics of coding, and how a few different languages can interact with each other in the same code. I'm also impressed that the workshop focuses on instilling good practices and converting students to industry tools at the right time in a way that makes sense.

Matt is a wonderful teacher, he makes coding so approachable. I was entirely intimidated when I started and now feel confident in my potential!

First experience with coding and although at times the videos were quick, a lot of concepts were covered. Overall felt as though the class helped prepare me for experiences that could happen in real life.

I've really enjoyed this course! The content was easy to grasp and the deadlines helped keep me on track.

The course is very helpful and it won't scare beginners away! I'm glad that I signed up for this. It really intrigues me, making me want to explore more in this field. The deadline pushes me to finish the course in time and it only took me two weeks to finish all courses. The project is interesting and the guideline is clear. It's the very first website I designed and the sense of achievement gained through these two weeks make me feel that I can do this too!

This was my first true venture in to coding and SheCodes has made it simple and easy to understand while still posing great challenges to facilitate learning throughout.

I didn't really believe in the potential of online courses until I started taking SheCodes' classes. It's challenging but extremely satisfying to complete each challenge proposed during the workshop. I was afraid of IT word itself. Getting in to it was almost impossible to me. After seeing YouTube advertisement for a year, I finally decided to join workshop. I started SheCodes to see how it feels like as a complete beginner. I must say it is one of the best decision I have made. I enjoyed this introductory course and the explanations for how HTML, CSS, and javascript work were easy to understand. I found it easier to write every step and look back in my notebook when I was stuck. The final project was also fun to create.

Since graduating from college in June, I wasn't sure which path I wanted to take in tech. Thankfully, I saw a SheCodes ad on Youtube. Initially, I was introduced to html/css many years ago when I took 2 online courses at a local college; however, for whatever reason I didn't pursue it. I'm happy to have gotten reintroduced to it by taking the SheCodes basic workshop. I forgot how interesting it was. And since I'm a visual learner, I loved learning by watching videos. It made the material easier to understand and the three weeks flew by. Now I have an idea of which direction I want to take.

When I started SheCodes, I had absolutely ZERO experience/knowledge with any form of coding. I loved the pace and the flexibility of the due dates because life happens. By the end of the workshop I have the base knowledge of what it takes to create a website and I look forward to learning more in the advanced workshops!

Really wonderful experience. I have taken coding classes before, but I loved how often we were challenged to try out new lessons. These challenges built on one another nicely and it was a pleasant surprise that homework consisted of brand new challenges using the skills we had already learned. Often in other classes these assignments build on one another and then your final project is what you have been working on, but this challenged you to start from scratch again and build something new.

Before enrolling into a degree for Computer Sci/Software engineering I wanted to get a feel of coding. This course has enabled me to feel comfortable with basic knowledge to build upon. I feel that it will provide me a greater advantage once I enroll and start my classes. Thank you so much SheCodes!!

This was a very cool experience. I definitely learned a lot and want to continue to learn more. This course really re-sparked my interest in learning to code!

I thought SheCodes was easy to navigate and follow through. I am new to programing language, and although sometimes it felt a little overwhelming, it was nice that each lesson was broken down in less than 10min segment. I was able to work on it 20 min there, 1 hour there, and so forth. I was so proud of myself at the end that I was able to code a decent webpage at the end.

I highly recommend this workshop. It is a new experience that is easy to navigate due to the support from fellow new coders and professionals. I never realized how fun coding could be until I started!

I built an entire app! 7 weeks ago I couldn't say that and didn't have the slightest idea how. There is no way I could have achieved this through learning on my own and even if I had, it would be following some template instead of creating my own stylized version. I cant believe I have a working app! I cant wait to move onto the Responsive and React workshops to make this even better.

I’m a mom of 2 at 23 and SheCodes finally gave me the tools I feel I need to succeed. I’m going to finish the whole SheCodes Pro course and I can’t wait to see where it takes me and my family.

It was easy to understand, but I really didn't like that the teacher of the female coding class was a man.

I took my first CSS course in my freshman year of college, I failed, terribly. I was so discouraged I did not want to even look at my computer... But today, 8 years later, I decided to give it a try and see if I wasn't a complete failure (when it came to coding).. and let me tell you.. I am amazed! I understood (mostly) everything instructor Matt was presenting! I loved his teaching style, and could really understand all of his comparisons and analogies. Really grateful that I took this course.

It was very fun to complete all the challenges. Specially the final project. Also, sometimes it was a little frustrating but it was totally worth it once it was all fixed. I really loved the workshop and I will definitely recommend others to give it a try!
