I had some minor understanding of HTML from computer classes. SheCodes helped me gain an understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. I really liked how the courses were set up with videos and assignments that corresponded with the new material being taught. It was fun but also challenging! I would definitely recommend SheCodes to anyone looking to learn how to get a better understanding of these coding programs.

Gets a little challenging sometimes but Matt's videos are very detailed and with the use of slack I was able to gain and learn more throughout this course.

I highly recommend SheCodes basics for anyone who is interested in "dipping their toe" into coding. While the class was challenging, I felt like each lesson always provided the information needed to complete each assignment. The part I appreciated most was learning about to troubleshoot in real scenarios. We learned in Chrome and Visual Studios Code, which helped me troubleshoot when I was on my own, completing the final project.

I learned a lot throughout this Course! I was apprehensive while starting this Workshop however the way the lessons were planned for each week made it easier to learn.
The Basic Workshop is worth EVERYONE trying! The price is fair and learning HTML, CSS, and JS can be helpful for anyone in any industry. The lessons are fun and interactive, and it's not as challenging as you may think. I had no issues staying on track while also working. It was well worth every penny and I can't wait to try more workshops!
I really enjoyed all SheCodes certifications. I started without any coding experience, and am leaving with more knowledge than I had expected. I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone that has no coding experience. You also have room to grow and assistance from SheCodes if you are stuck with the homework or lessons. I have been looking for a coding program that was both flexible and affordable enough to fit into my life that would also really teach the practical skills and SheCodes has been perfect! I have been editing already created websites for a few years nows and learned how to do a few things through trial and error and Google but am very excited to now really gain the skills I've been wishing for.

I love it. I always had a passion for coding but SheCodes has made it more easy to understand in bit size chunks. The mini challenges that go with each lesson helps some much more and lets me know if I'm understanding the lesson properly. Thats a bonus for me. Best program Ive ever paid for. I currently work in billing for a large company and have been searching for something new to utilize my creative side. The basics course has really shown me that I can code and tackle hard things. I took 3 weeks basic course. I had basic knowledge of JS but it was great to apply that knowledge and I say I have learned a lot more. This was a great course. I enjoyed doing the final project and using the techniques I wanted to use. Bruno was very help every step of the way. I am planning to take the Plus React course as well. highly recommend SheCodes. :)

I've always been curious about coding, and this was a great introduction! The lesson videos are easy to follow along, and the homework assignments do a great job of being easy to understand but still be just challenging enough to bring out your own creativity. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn some basic coding skills, and I hope to be able to continue my journey in the future!

SheCodes Basics has unlocked a love for coding and a new career path for me. I should have done this long ago! I've tried learning code in a traditional college setting and I can honestly say I've learned more in the past three weeks than I ever learned in my previous attempts during college. Matt's instructions are always easy to follow and support is always available from peers and technical experts through Slack. I cannot wait to continue to the more advanced courses. Being surrounded by family and friends in software, I've always thought coding was mysterious and intimidating. A couple years ago, I started working in tech as a Project Manager and recently decided I wanted to expand my skillset. The woman-centered community and beginner first approach of SheCodes made coding feel attainable and I'm so proud of what I've learned in the past three weeks.
It was challenging, but I am glad I signed up for it... It is just the beginning of this journey for me.
After stumbling across this coding workshop by accident, I've fallen in love with Coding. I'm currently studying Marketing at the Fashion Institute of Technology, however, this workshop was so fun that I will be transferring to Web Development completely. I highly recommend these classes. I can't wait to move on to SheCodes Plus!
I really enjoyed all of the videos. The SheCodes Basics was a great start and broke down all the concepts in a way I understood. I would recommend this class, especially since you get to learn with programs that are used in real life.

This was fairly easy to follow. I'm fairly busy, but I felt like I could get back to it at any time.
I was looking into learning code on my own, but SheCodes saved me from hours of wasted time and money. I am excited to apply my new knowledge to my current operations job and my future tech endeavors. It definitely gets a 10 out of 10 for me!
I've tried several different ways to learn to code and from the beginning I knew I would love it, but I never really found one that clicked until SheCodes. Incredibly easy to follow along and go at your own pace, the program is obviously well thought out and geared towards beginners. Even my friend, a long time programmer, was impressed with the progress I made in just three weeks. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to get their foot in the door of coding.
After almost 6 years on the helpdesk I decided to make a change and get into something more interesting, I had tried all kinds of tutorials and signed up for loads of bootcamps and it all ended up being either too expensive or not the right fit. Matt taught us in short bursts and still allowed room for us to look and find answers on our own! He not only taught me how to code but he taught me how to find the answers I need as well so that I can continue to teach myself! Looking forward to more workshops from SheCodes!
I'm so glad that I did this course! Though it's been challenging, I love that I've been able to go back and rewatch videos, get feedback from peers and also from the SheCodes staff. They get back to you quickly and really take the time to explain things when I got stuck. I had been using other resources to try to learn coding before trying SheCodes, including apps. I feel like I'm grasping concepts better and can actually apply what I'm learning. I really love that you have assignments and homework deadlines, I needed the extra motivation, I wasn't getting that from other things I had tried. I'm really excited to complete all of the other courses I signed up for with SheCodes!

I have no experience in coding. I didn't even know what it was really, until a couple months ago. I was nervous to try, and even more nervous to take a boot camp. I am horrible at school. I am not good at processing information just by listening. SheCodes has been the best thing, and I am so happy I found it. Matt is an excellent teacher! I love the way he talks, and he keeps you interested. He explains things so well. And to top it off, you actually DO the coding after he shows you. I learn best by doing, and this has been the best thing for me. I am just completing the basic course and plan on taking the pro course! I've been feeling stuck for the past few months, and I had a slight interest in coding and front-end development specifically. I tried learning more about it, but I kept getting stuck until I stumbled upon SheCodes! I started the Basics workshop to see if I liked it, and I love how the lessons were structured so not only are you building on something you've learned, but you're given challenges to implement what you learned. I was working in the banking industry for 4 years, and although I am grateful for all I have learned on the job, I had an increase curiosity for coding! As I learned more and more, I knew coding is what I wanted to do ! I am immensely grateful for SheCodes!

I've been learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for about 3 months. I decided to study full-time and teach myself how to code because this is my dream career. I understand HTML, CSS, and a little bit of JavaScript. The problem that I was facing was how to connect all three. That's where SheCodes comes in. SheCodes has given me the confidence to continue my coding journey. After completing the beginners workshop I feel so much more confident and so happy that I was able to see my progress. This huge progress happened in literally two weeks. The first week was very intense because a lot of material was being covered but after the first week, I felt so confident and saw how much growth I had made in just one week. The satisfaction of seeing my three projects come to life was amazing. The final project was what really made me realize how much I truly enjoy coding and creating things.
I had so much fun in the basic course and excited to start SheCodes Plus and then Pro! The lessons were amazing and conveniently fit into my mommy/student schedule. I love that I learned a new, useful skill that will hopefully take my tiny business to the next level!
