This was a great beginner workshop! I thoroughly enjoyed building my own website. Matt's teaching style was easy to understand, but he also challenged us to think outside of the box and be creative. I highly recommend this course!

I come from a healthcare background, so I was a bit intimidated to start a coding course. I was happily surprised! After getting used to the set-up, I was able to understand and complete the challenges and projects with more ease than I expected. Matt is a great teacher and when I had questions, they were easy to post and receive answers about on Slack. I am so glad that I decided to start this and plan to continue all the way through!

In three weeks I have learned more about coding than I thought possible in that time frame. It makes me hungry for more. I have always wanted to keep learning anything and everything I can, and with so many more classes offered by SheCodes I will be learning and adding to my skillset.

I was looking for some sort of change in my career and didn't really know where to begin as I was extremely hesitant about going back to school. That's when I came across SheCodes. It sparked an interest in a new path for me! Online learning has never been my strong suit but it turned out to be easy to follow and I would encourage those that have been in the same boat as me to take a chance with SheCodes.

As a beginner, I had no idea what HTML, CSS, or Javascript even was before this workshop. The videos walk you through step-by-step for each lesson, so you never feel lost. Although it was challenging, it was like doing a puzzle every week. I highly recommend SheCodes.

I never thought I would be able to read javaScript. I had so much fun coding these. The instructions were very easy to follow and I was able to complete this in less than 2 weeks. so happy with what I have learned :)

SheCodes Basics Workshop is a great way to get started with coding: tuition for The Basics is a great value, participants' assignments are reviewed by humans and, with Slack, there's quick help with questions. I like Matt's calm, easy manner. He shows learners that coding is something most everyone can learn and reminds us that nothing we do in coding class will cause our computer to explode 👩💻--useful advice if you're new to code!
SheCodes makes learning about coding in a direct and fun way. Everything was straight to the point and the exercises were a direct reflection of the material learned.
The course has been amazing! It's organized in a way that's very easy to follow, even for complete beginners. I also really like the fact how Matt encourages you to explore things on your own even if they are not explicitly discussed in the initial tutorials. That gives us more opportunities to explore on our own, and it has helped me grow even more.

I really enjoyed taking these courses. I learned some things that I didn't know in regard to CSS and Javascript. I actually had a hard time learning JavaScript in the past, and have had a much easier time learning with SheCodes. I appreciate that things are broken down well enough for a beginner to grasp these concepts. I look forward to the rest taking more courses with SheCodes!
This is a fantastic course! The content is laid out really well and I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges at the end of the lessons. Matt is very easy to understand and is very succinct yet thorough in his teachings. I was never interested in coding because I thought it was really boring and difficult to understand but becuase of Matt's course, I REALLY enjoyed it and actually had to set reminders to work on my other work projects as I found myself really engrossed in the creation process. In just 10 days I went from knowing nothing about coding to creating a landing page! I look forward to the next course, SheCodes Plus and building off what I know now to make my work even better! I highly, highly recommend!

SheCodes has been a great experience! I signed up for the Pro course, so I have a ways to go for my learning experience, but I'm excited. It feels good taking up coding again as an adult learner. The basics course was set to a good pace, and Matt explained things in a way I could understand.
This was an amazing opportunity to learn a new skill. At first I thought coding would be almost impossible but after watching the videos, doing challenges, and the homeworks; I realized it is not as impossible as I thought it would be. The video explanations and the Slack channel made it so easy to learn (faster than I thought I was capable of).

Each lesson was easy to follow and understand. I loved the hands on exercises that built upon each other. By the end of each week, I actually could figure out the homework because of how the class taught each element. I already want to sign up for the more advanced class to expand my new coding knowledge! Thank you for this workshop. :)

I chose SheCodes because I wanted something that was flexible enough to allow me to learn around my work schedule, but also structured enough to keep me on track. I love that SheCodes started at the extreme basics, and taught just enough in each lesson to be easy to follow while still providing a thorough knowledge base in coding. I was extremely busy with the holidays during the past three weeks and was still able to complete the workshop and feel like I know what I am doing. I'm looking forward to the next level!

I would recommend SheCodes to anyone! SheCodes Basics was my first taste of coding, and I believe I've learned the most from this course. One of my biggest fears with SheCodes was the self learning format! However, I did take a 12 week live course, and believe that SheCodes and the information learned within my 3 week SheCodes class was more valuable than the other program! From the content, to the help...SheCodes is the way to go for anyone entering tech. Don't let self-paced scare you! Try it!

Great course. I really enjoyed it. All of the information can be a bit overwhelming at times but you can set your own pace with the videos and re-watch them as needed, so that is very helpful. React and responsive are up next for me. Can't wait.
I really enjoyed my experience completing the SheCodes Basics course! I had no prior experience with coding and found the lessons to be very accessible and easy to follow. Whenever I needed help, I was able to refer back to the lessons, cheat sheets on the SheCodes site, or Google it to figure things out. This course was an awesome experience, and I'm excited to continuing practicing and using the new skills I have learned!
A wonderful journey with SheCodes! As a website owner, I knew nothing about codes before. Every time there was anything wrong with the site, I called my developer frustratedly, because those codes look like Martian language to me. After the 3 weeks study and practice, I know the basic logic of codes and they looks meaningful to me now. Thank you, Matt! And many thanks to SheCodes staff and classmates! I had never written a single line of code before taking this workshop and it is amazing how much I learned in two weeks. The content was very well organized in short, digestible pieces, perfect for beginners. The workshop was didactic, attractive, and hands-on. I would say it was addictive as I always eager to go to the next lesson to learn more.

I've never had so much success before with an online learning course. SheCodes makes everything easy to understand and is constantly testing our comprehension of the material by having us apply new knowledge in mini daily challenges, weekly homework, and over-arching projects. At the beginning of this 8-week course I couldn't possibly imagine what it would take to build a fully functioning vanilla weather forecast application. This course built upon the previous 3-week Basics Coding course, expanding in to using more advanced front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS and Bootstrap, developing further Javascript skills, and dove in to how to integrate live API into our interactive application and how to normalize a development workflow using Git and Github. I know I still have so much more to learn, but looking back I can't believe I've come so far in such a short time! Thank you SheCodes!

I like how short the lessons are. I have problems with focusing when watching long videos. Your short lessons along with challenges make me curious and excited to keep going. The course would be even better if I receive in-depth feedback on my weekly homework.
