I'm trying to learn coding to get out of my current profession. It's been a very helpful class and I think the challenges are just difficult enough to not be frustrating and to be proud of myself when I've figured them out.
I loved the format of this class and it is so exciting to see such results from a basic class! I canβt wait to learn more!

I'm majoring in Software Engineering right now and I needed some motivation to figure out what I wanted to specialize in. SheCodes helped me discover that I have a passion for web designing and allowed me to apply my coding skills to something I enjoy doing. Will be forever thankful and look forward to doing more advanced workshops.

Matt has done an outstanding job with this program! I enjoyed how the class is structured into small steps culminating in a large project. There was an unlimited amount of help available throughout the program. After completion of my project, I looked at the webpage in awe that this was something I created on my own using code. This was a fun course. It allowed me to try out coding to see if it was something Iβd like to pursue further. The challenges are fun and you realize when doing them how necessary they are, that just watching someone else code isnβt sufficient for learning.
I work in long-term care and signed up for the Basic SheCodes course because I wanted a challenge that wasn't related to the COVID pandemic. I began this course without any knowledge in coding and thought that coding was way over my head. To my surprise, I enjoyed this course and the challenges after each lesson. This course is perfect as an introduction to coding with step by step instructions that are easy to follow. The final project at the end of week three allows you to apply what you've learned. I am far from being a coder or programmer but this experience was fun, challenging, and a great way to learn some basics of coding.
Wow!!! I never even thought of coding until my Best friend (my Husband) encourage me to take a peek, and Peek is what I did!!. I'm not sure how far I will go with this new found joy, but I'm willing to keep going. I had so much FUN!!! Ladies you will not be disappointed with SheCodes, Trust the process that Matt and his staff have put in place for ALL of us beautiful Ladies.
The SheCodes basic course is packed with easy-to-understand concepts and a step-by-step approach. Perfect course for a beginner or a quick reminder for someone more advanced.
This workshop demystified the different coding languages. I went from unsure and afraid, to educated and confident. Confident that I can learn and apply the 3 basic coding languages that were covered in this workshop. I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in web development or would like to get an idea of what coding feels like. Matt does a good job of explaining the different languages that were covered, so much so that my sister who is in college for Computer Science, commented that this workshop explained the languages a lot better than her professors did! Thank you Shecodes for a pleasant experience, and I loved this platform so much that I will be back to take the Shecodes Pro course!
I had an amazing time taking this course since it broke down the lessons in a way anyone could understand. This made it easy to understand and easier to do since I worked a full-time job and was short on time. I would recommend this course and cannot wait to take what I learned into the real world.
In such a short period of time (in 3 weeks) I was able to learn the basics of coding and was able to build a short website by myself! When I was stuck in homework and challenges, there are always people around to support and help me out. I love working in this supportive and helpful environment and definitely recommend people who are trying to pick up a new skill or know nothing about coding to try it out!
I really enjoyed my first three week workshop. The video's by Matt are very thorough, and informative. He does a very good job of teaching the basics from the beginning and showing step by step how something is built. I especially liked when Matt would reference pretty popular websites like Instagram. Showing us how they applied the features he just spoke about in the video. I feel that I have learned a lot, and have much more to go. Can't wait for my other workshops!
This workshop pushed me to learn in such a magnificent way, I now feel confident continuing my coding journey. The pace was fast, but it helped push myself to stay on track and keep going. The feeling of completing the challenges felt amazing, whether it clicked for me right away or I struggled until I understood. I really enjoyed this workshop and Matt's style of teaching.
Since I was in high school, hearing the word "coding" would scared me. Since I am doing Electrical Engineering, I knew I needed to start my journey somehow; I needed to stop being so scared about coding, therefore, I decided to join SheCodes. Honestly, I feel 100% more confident about coding, and I am happy I overcame this fear of mine. Now I can say, "I can do this". And if I can do it, anyone else can do it.
This was my first time learning about coding, and this program was super easy to follow. It was super informative and a great introductory course. I will definitely be taking more workshops in the future.
I really appreciated the the pace and the content of the classes. The way Matt teaches is straightforward and clear and it helped the new concepts make sense through action and testing. I am a beginner coder as most of you are, I've had waves of interest concerning learning to code. This course strengthen my interest for code again and I view things differently when it comes to the internet and websites. I HIGHLY recommend this course, although it may seem tedious at first it's worth it for the feeling of accomplishment afterward:).

This has been a great experience and a good way to gain some coding knowledge. Matt is an amazing teacher, his videos are very explanatory and helpful. You can never get bored or tired of watching his video, they just push you to do your best and just keep you wanting to code even more. The SheCodes team are wonderful they are always available to help when needed. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get acquainted with coding, promise this one's worth your time.

This was a fantastic way to learn some basics of coding. As someone who has no previous experience, the videos and assignments were easy to understand and still allowed you freedom to explore different ways of accomplishing the tasks. If you are trying to see if coding is right for you, this is absolutely worth your time and money.
I had been interested in coding before I started college, but the ration of women-to-men enrollment leaned dramatically toward the latter and established programmers in the field were less than enthusiastic to mentor an aspiring teen, so I didn't follow the inkling of interest through. A little more than ten years later, I saw the SheCodes advertisement at the top of my browser and finally gave myself over to destiny's pull. Matt Delac is an absolute angel not only for making a safe space for women of all ages and backgrounds to dip their toes into the waters of learning to code, but also for making it more accessible and less intimidating than the majority of programming bootcamps and beginner tutorials. The Basic workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to test out the shallows of the development world and see if its for them. I loved my experience with SheCodes and I credit it as the motivator for my enrollment in a seven month, full stack development community program. I'm excited to see where an advanced coding education takes me!

I absolutely LOVE SheCodes! I've tried another well known code learning program and SheCodes is what works for me! I feel absolutely empowered with what I have learned. I love that I can go at my own pace but there are still deadlines to make sure your coding goals aren't put on the back burner. I also love that finding your way instead of going by step by step instructions is encouraged. I feel it has helped me learn faster. I can't wait to take the other workshops!
I've tried coding in the past and was not able to fully understand it but with SheCodes teaching I can honestly say I know what I'm typing and why I'm typing it. I had fun learning with SheCodes.
I honestly can't believe how much fun I had coding. This workshop was super easy to follow and delivered information in small, manageable lessons. This program was so much fun! It was challenging without being overwhelming. I felt like it gave me the tools to better understand HTML, CSS, and JS, with plenty of room to grow. I thought that the structure of the program was very clear and concise. I enjoyed the breakdown of content and the challenges were very helpful. The workshop made learning code less intimidating. I feel confident in my ability to continue to work on practicing how to code.
This is a decent workshop, but I think you could learn all of these things for free from other places online. You are basically just paying for the certification. If you need it, there is a referral link you can use for a discount. Feel free to message me on LinkedIn and I will send it to you. I wouldn't say this is anything particularly unique or special, but it's not terrible either. Sometimes Matt's rambling gets a little bit chaotic, but he's nice enough.
I really enjoyed SheCodes Plus! The material was challenging, but Matt explained it in a way that I could understand, and now I have a deeper understanding of how web development works. I signed up for the Pro package, and I can't wait for the next workshop already!

Loved this intro course! I've always been interested in coding and finally decided to take the plunge. I definitely have a better understanding of what coding is and how different elements work together to create the websites we use everyday.

I am currently a Computer Science Student at UIC, usually a university approach is working back-end such as C++ and C# but I love that I am able to do front-end as well with SheCodes. It also gives me a mental break from the hard languages I learn at school and being able to come on here to make a cool, fun website, it helps balance me out.
It was a great experience! It was easy to understand and follow along. Would definitely recommend as a good intro course to coding.

I am a third-year computer science student. I only get to learn Java, so I decided to take this class to learn more about coding. At first, I thought this course was too easy to learn. However, it is Shecodes that make it so easy to understand the materials.
As a brand-new beginning coder, I felt supported along the way with all of the challenges and provided solutions! This was a challenging workshop, but the material was always within grasp.
This class made it super easy to learn to code on your own time. Being in school for my MBA and working a full-time job, allowed me to learn something new that kept challenging me. I will look forward to continuing to take more coding classes.

Honestly, this workshop gave me a sense of meaning during the holidays. I was bored out of my head so I decided to sign up on a whim, but it turned out to be one of my better life choices. This is a great program and I'm glad I enrolled. With SheCodes Basics, I liked how I learned just the beginner's level skills on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript without having to cram all the knowledge of each program into shorter lessons. I like the setup of these lessons better than I have seen from free coding boot camps, that and I don't have to post to a Facebook group to get feedback. I learned so much. I was scared at first because I know coding is hard and doing it online might get more harder, but I actually enjoyed it and learned so much from SheCodes.

Yayy to me! I have completed another Shecodes Workshop successfully. I am looking forward to start React now. :) The structure of the syllabus was spot on. I am not a book person and I have wasted so much money buying programming books and never finished more than 2 pages( im not proud). I love how Shecodes gives me opportunity to watch Matt doing the work and i can watch step by step. lets talk about the help. Amazing community and Joao and Bruno helped me at every step where I felt stuck, without babysitting me.I absolutely recommend Shecodes to anyone on a heart beat.

I had such a great experience taking the introductory courses here on SheCodes. The courses were well-structured, organized, and evenly paced. I was worried about not being able to keep up with work and the not having enough coding experience, but the resources like the Slack threads and the constant support from the SheCodes team really made this experience worth it.
