I LOVE LOVE LOVED this course, it was very challenging but everything was still explained very nicely. I've been through the trials and tribulations of many online coding resources and this has been by far my favorite. Matt teaches in a way that is not holding your hand through the entire process but giving you the tools you need to assess the problem. This was my first SheCodes class and it was a really great experience! It covered quite a bit in the few weeks but we got so much hands on practice as we went through each topic. The community aspect was great when running into issue or trying to troubleshoot. The videos themselves were short but informative. For an asynchronous class, this was one of the best experiences I have had.
I honestly took this course to add something to my resume and learn something new. Mission accomplished. this course had a lot of information for a 3-week course. I am considering purchasing the additional course.
This is one of the best online workshops I've done. The lessons are thorough and the challenges/homework are incredibly thoughtful. The course teaches you basics as it promises. But, even more valuable, it teaches you logic and how to solve problems. I thoroughly enjoyed the course!
As a serious beginner...not knowing how to code at all it was really enjoyable and very easy to learn!

This course definitely was challenging but in all the best ways. It allows you to trial and error what works and work your way through why something doesn't work. The team was a great help in helping me when I was stuck on a problem. This makes me feel better prepared to continue on with my learning.
As someone who knew 0% on how to code, there were plenty of TikTok videos that stated coding as a fun, new career path. BUT it wasn't until I saw & attended a free SheCodes coding class that I was convinced coding can be fun, AND can be my new career path! Having completed the SheCodes Basics Workshop, I can confidently say I didn't feel alone in the learning progress whatsoever; fellow classmates from around the world along with reliable tech assistants who offered help in any challenge, or homework I was stuck on. Also the teaching materials were clear to understand, which is why I highly recommend beginners with zero skills in coding to take the SheCodes Basics Workshop! Now that I've built my first project, I'm excited to know what's in store for SheCodes Plus🤩
I enjoyed taking this course! It was challenging at times, but the Slack member support and search feature make it so that there's always help when you need it. As a complete beginner, I can honestly say I think it's amazing that in just 3 weeks I learned how to create a webpage! 😄 Cannot wait to continue my coding journey and learn more.
After completing the SheCodes Beginner course, the SheCodes Plus course really challenged me and pushed me outside my comfort zone. I learned a lot of really useful skills and received plenty of help if I was stuck on a problem through the Slack chat with the SheCodes team. I am very proud of what I have learned and accomplished in this course and I am looking forward to continuing on in the SheCodes Pro courses.

This course was really eye-opening and helped me discover that a career in coding is a possibility for me, and anyone else who puts their mind to it.
Although I am already an I.T. Professional (former Network Specialist), I have been out of the workforce for the past few years due to raising my family. This class felt like the perfect stepping stone for me to get back out into the professional world. Matt is a great teacher and the Basics class was surprisingly very in-depth, clear, and concise. I can't wait to take the more advanced classes and become UTD on the newer libraries and interfaces current employers demand.

This was a fun, well-structured course. Matt did a great job breaking down the material into digestible chunks. Great first few weeks, SheCodes Basic is fun and an exciting approach to coding. The projects wrapped everything up nicely and gave me enough time to use the tools I have to create anything I can be proud of doing.

This workshop was a great introduction to help me exploring the coding world. I am thinking of career switching and found out about SheCodes through Instagram. I love that the course is divided into separate parts and the deadlines definitely motivated me to stay on top of it. Matt did a great job explaining the components of HTML, CSS, and Javascript, but also giving us a challenge to explore parts of that on our own. The SheCodes team is very responsive and helpful, which is a huge plus.

I took a web development course over three years ago. Back then, the program was fast paced and I was juggling so much, that although the course was enjoyable, the curriculum and pacing may not have been optimal for my learning development. Currently, I am a manual software tester, but have always wanted to get back to learning how to code. SheCodes has given me the opportunity to learn at my own pace and retain the knowledge while having fun!
I come from a hands on creative background. I've found that coding appeals to the technical creative side of myself. Matt has broken down each lesson so well, and I'm excited about each new lesson I learn.

With absolutely no prior experience, I decided to learn coding just for the fun of gaining a new skill, but I had no idea how much I would enjoy it ! SheCodes has truly been one of my best learning experiences ever! I truly recommend this course to any woman who wants to learn to code.
Great introductory course! I learned a ton! I went into this course knowing absolutely nothing. I feel a lot more confident. I plan on taking more courses with SheCodes in the future. The assignments really forced me to stay on track and complete all of the lessons. I liked the pace of the course and the videos that Matt provides for each lesson. I have to admit that I did struggle with time management when trying to do SheCodes, going to college, and working a full-time job. As of now, I am happy to have submitted my SheCodes Basics project and hopefully in the future I'll continue to make updated changes on it. SheCodes is by far the best kind of workshop that I've ever experienced. I am glad that I found this whole community for women to pursue their passions in web development.
So easy to follow along. I loved that I could just ask for help on the slack community when I got stuck. My main thing is I learn best in a classroom setting because I can have direct contact with a professor or a TA to help me out. It's not the same as being in a classroom but it's definitely better than learn on your own without someone to help you out.
I've always thought of myself as a humanities person, was never very strong in Math or Science, and had myself convinced that coding was just beyond my ability. This year I decided to try a few things that truly intimidated me and coding was at the top of the list. After attending Matt's free 1-hour intro, I felt like he was someone with a style and approach I could learn from. His pace is great, he explains things clearly, and maintains the perfect level of enthusiasm. I've just finished the 3-week Basics package and am heading to the next level.
This was truly a good experience for some one who hasn't had much experience in coding. All of the lessons and challenges were clear and easy to understand. The process from start to finish was seamless. I'm finishing the course now confident that this is something I can pursue in the future.
I'm from Atlanta, Ga 24 years old and I am actually just coming back to technology. For half a year in 2021 I was in the CCC doing trail maintenance. I had no technology around me but I had time to think about what I wanted to learn and do and to try to see if coding is right for me. I am glad to say I will be moving forward with my education on this. Thankyou SheCodes for giving me this opportunity.

I started this workshop with no background at all. It's amazing how much I learned in just three weeks. From week to week I got so much better. As a language teacher I know that learning a language requires lots of practice.
