SheCodes has been a great platform to learn on! I now have a base skillset for coding that I can continue to build on. The course is a great balance of challenge and fun!
This was so easy to learn and had so much guidance. I came from medical background and I was able to learn easily and if I had questions I was able to receive help.

This was so much fun to learn! I looked forward to coming home from work every day and taking on another challenge and then ultimately building my very first app! Matt's teaching style is great and easy to understand and it is nice to be able to have videos and sources to refer back to. The team is also wonderful, with quick and helpful responses. There were times I definitely challenged, but I am so proud of what I have already accomplished and am excited to continue forward in my journey to become a software developer!
After completing this workshop I feel so accomplished and so proud of the work that I have created. Before this workshop I would have never thought that I could create an app let alone a working weather app based on real-time data. But with SheCodes help, easy to follow lessons and assignments I was able to challenge myself. I'm so thankful for SheCodes for helping me create something that I can not only show off and be proud of, but also something that I can use daily myself.
Thank you to Matt and the SheCodes team for thoroughly teaching me basic coding skills with absolutely zero experience. I learned so much in just 3 short weeks. I can't wait for what's to come in the next programs!

SheCodes is a great course for beginners or even advanced coders. I enjoyed the flexibility of the Basics course and plan on pursuing the more advanced courses. I really enjoyed gaining experience in Javascript, CSS, and HTML. Matt really makes the content easy to understand. I reccomend for anyone trying to learn coding!!!!
I've always been interested in learning how to code but could never find a class or program that could teach in a simple enough way for me to follow along. I came across SheCodes and read the testimonials of many other women like myself who is trying add to our skills and make ourselves even more valuable in an ever growing technological world. After these last 3 weeks of taking the SheCodes workshops and completing my first Project, I am grateful and extremely excited to take the Advanced courses in order to help me reach my life goals for myself and my family!
I am currently within the HR career path. However, I have always been curious about coding. I heard about SheCodes last year, and I decided 2022 was going to be my year to EMBARK on this coding journey. The main aspect I was interested in with coding was web design. 👩🏽💻I enjoyed learning HTML, CSS, and JS. I did not expect to learn as much as I did in this coding basics class. All the lessons are ordered in a way for easy learning and comprehension. Matt is an amazing teacher. With each homework assignment and project, you get to test your knowledge! I was hesitant to learn this on my own- however with the support of the SheCodes squad/other learners, I felt empowered that if I didn't understand- I could reach out on the real-time Slack chat. My final project reflects my love for baking! I tried to make it simple yet modern. There are still some concepts I would love to learn in order to implement for further development of my web design skills! I'm not sure what the future is for my coding journey as of now. However, for anyone that is curious or fully committed- I would recommend SheCodes! Also, feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn!
This basic workshop was great. Gives you many "basic" tips and tricks for HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It was nice to work at my own pace, but yet have deadlines (or extensions if needed).
SheCodes Basic was a great intro to coding. It provided the building blocks needed for beginners to learn concepts in a convenient and exciting way This program provided me the ability to learn Javascript, CSS, and HTML in under a month and I am forever grateful.
I’m super grateful for these workshops! I never thought I would be able to code but from each lesson, I have continued to tear down that notion. I’m excited to continue the next workshops!!

I came into this workshop with ZERO experience in coding, and I'm so proud of what I've learned so far! Anyone sitting on the fence, PLEASE take the plunge, you'll learn a lot and it's a great skill set to have! There's many resources to get help, and if someone as tech-challenged as me could get into it, anybody could!
I love the pace of the classes and how the challenges build with each lesson. The final assignment really pulls together all of the lessons and helps with repetition of content. I feel really positive about learning to code and I hope many other women join.
Not only I learned a lot but I had a really fun time with the class and I found myself looking forward to work on the next lessons.

I learned JavaScript with a different program, and it wasn’t as hands on as SheCodes. I really like the fact that SheCodes is very hands on.

i thought coding was never my cup of tea but i thought i would give it a try. Who knew it could be fun too. I know there's lot to learn and i thank shecodes making by beginning journey interesting and helpful.
It was really fun to learn the basics of coding with Matt Delac at SheCodes from the comfort of my home! The SheCodes basics workshop inspired me and gave me more confidence to pursue a career in tech. Thank you to Matt and the whole SheCodes Team for their support and the knowledge shared. 😃
The SheCodes Basics workshop was exactly what I was looking for. I began other courses that failed to introduce the material at a basic level and found myself struggling to keep up. SheCodes Basics laid down the foundational information for CSS, HTML, and JavaScript and I am now excited to keep furthering my coding skills. I highly recommend this course to every beginner!
As hard as it may look or be, just keep pushing yourself. SheCodes was very flexible with me when I got sick with Covid and I will forever be grateful. I ran into trouble but I managed to pull through and make it to the finish line. I learned so much in this workshop! Matt is a great teacher! I will forever be grateful with the help I received from Bruno, Joao, and Daniela! I cannot wait for the next workshop!
It was so easy for me to learn how to code, the videos were extremely helpful and I can't wait to enter a field with this information.
This course has been a wonderful introduction to HTML, CSS and JS. I have worked with these in the past and the review was also very useful. Matt is easy to follow. I thought the layout of the course was well thought out and thorough.
I had a lot of fun with this. I do suggest you get a reference book, to look up somethings without having to Google or ask on Slack
Such a fun class to get started with coding! I enjoyed all of the lessons and projects, and I feel more confident about my ability to dive in deeper after learning the basics.
The workshop is not bad for someone who's just starting! I've taken an HTML class in college and I feel like there's a lot of information left out to know. But I'm trying to remain optimistic since I know this is just the basics workshop. If you don't plan on taking any workshop past the basics, I suggest you watch more videos on YouTube, Udemy, or read an HTML and CSS basics. Extra outside resources is always good!
SheCodes has become a platform for me to believe anyone can do coding as a beginner even without a computer background. I am proud that I took SheCodes basic which gave me confidence and can do attitude. All you need is interest and determination to do coding.
Coding was never something I thought I needed to know, but SheCodes made it so simple and fun to learn! I'll definitely be looking for future opportunities to sharpen my skills.
I enjoyed completing the SheCodes workshops. I found the videos and playback very helpful. I also like how flexible the course is.
SheCodes basics was a phenomenal course, which I highly recommend for beginners. Matt explained everything you need to know in short clear videos and allowed you to practice your skills before moving forward. I can’t wait to see how much my coding improves as I work through my next course by SheCodes😁!

SheCodes workshop leads me step by step through the learning process. The challenges after lessons initiate me to experiment, look for answers and go through the trial and error for the solution. It is brilliant.
I really enjoyed taking the SheCodes Basic Workshop. Learning a new skill I never in a million years thought I would do. I wanted to try something completely new from what I do for work on a daily basis since I have worked in the same field since I graduated college (10+years). The lectures are super easy to follow and I was able to troubleshoot most of my coding issues myself or by using the slack channel. I highly recommend anyone that is on the fence about this program to give it a try.
I've always been interested in learning how to code but the information seemed so expansive that I didn't know where to start. The way the curriculum is structured allows me the space to practice and make mistakes but also the ability to create something of my own. Very happy to have taken this class, can't wait to see what comes next!

I personally feel quite strongly that it's important to learn new skills from people who are passionate about them. It is clear that Matt is very passionate about teaching these skills in a clear, uncluttered and approachable manner. Each concept is introduced in a bite size video that is easy to fit into a corner of your day without feeling overwhelmed. I've learned that while there are endless possibilities of things any person can accomplish in theory, the surest way to actually do a thing is to make it easy for yourself. This course has made coding easy and convenient for the beginner. The variety of resources made available through the SheCodes site such as color palettes, cheat sheets and CSS code generators also show the attention to detail put into the process. Then there is the other half of the matter: access to a community of like-minded women ready to help when you get stuck. This eliminates the feeling of isolation despite being 100% online. All in all the whole learning experience feels very thorough and well thought out. Thank you to Matt and the SheCodes Team for all the care you have put into designing the SheCodes journey.
I was nervous because this was my first time learning how to code, but everything was explained clearly so I could follow along and play with each new element or property that was taught. I liked that I could learn at my own pace and start building my coding vocabulary. Coding isn't scary and can be very fun!
Coming into this workshop with no experience it was easy to be a bit nervous. However, I was determined to learn something I’ve always been interested in and I’m glad I took the opportunity. The lectures were simple to follow and the concepts I learned are extremely valuable. I’ve already recommended SheCodes to friends I know are also interested to learn the basics of coding. I’m already looking forward to taking the PRO workshop!
After taking a computer science class in college, I never thought that I would be interested in coding again and see my potential with it! Great to know that you learn how to code at any time. This program did help me to step outside of my comfort zone and helped me to slowly develop coding skills. This was a great start for my journey to become a junior developer, the lessons are short but well explained. The challenges at the end of each session are great for practicing right away and also Matt is constantly encouraging to find solutions and go beyond of what is being taught. I highly recommend this workshop for people who want to decide weather or not coding is they right path for them

The dedicated Slack channel provided support and encouragement from peers, and having my assignments reviewed by a member of the SheCodes team helped me to gain confidence in my coding skills with their feedback and guidance. Prior to SheCodes, I was extremely intimidated by idea of coding and the different languages that exist. After this workshop, I have discovered that it is much less intimidating than it seems and very possible with the right resources and practice! It is also much more creative and fun than I ever imagined.
SheCodes Basic was an overall great experience. I had no prior knowledge of coding whatsoever. However, Matt made it easy to understand and process what he was asking of you to do. Highly recommend this course to anyone that is interested in learning to code!
SheCodes is an excellent introduction to coding. The information was broken down in an easy-to-follow and engaging way that laid a great foundation of programming for me as a total beginner. I would recommend it to anyone who's been interested in coding but struggling to figure out where to start!
Great program- good pace and very informative.
I tried out SheCodes as a way to determine if I would enjoy coding as a career, and it did just that. The lessons were paced beautifully, and I don't know if another program would have introduced me to coding with as much ease
SheCodes makes everything so approachable and possible. Matt does a great job teaching each lesson and sharing his own best practices. I love that the program offers balance between completing it at your own pace and keeping it timely with assignments and deadlines. I can't wait to start the next course.
It's a great beginner-friendly workshop. Before this workshop, I knew absolutely nothing when it came to coding, all throughout high school I never took any computer classes because at the time it just didn't seem like an appealing career to me, but I wanted to learn something new and determine if this could become a new career possibility for me. It definitely has helped me decide as someone who is 20 and has literally no idea what career they want.
SheCodes was a fun way to learn about coding. The workshops were easy to follow and the SheCodes team was very supportive. The best part of SheCodes is the community of coding newbies who are eager to support you - talented women learning and growing together.
I work in Training and Enablement, I am completely virtual since March 2020 and I frequently look for new ways to sharpen my tools. This workshop is so enlightening on the basics of coding and Matt makes it so easy to understand. I had fun learning with SheCodes. Lessons were engaging, easy to follow, and structured properly where the projects did not feel complicated. The community on slack was a big help.

Matt made the lessons very easy to understand and enjoyed the challenges. I do believe though, that if you have a decent amount of HTML or CSS knowledge, the basic workshop would not be necessary for you to complete.
