The Basics workshop is great for beginners while providing challenging tasks for people with some knowledge. The JavaScript week is very interesting and educational. I really enjoyed working on the final project.
SheCodes Basic provides a fun way to learn if you have interest in coding. While there were challenges, there is a great support team of students!

Also, I'm a mother and two beautiful kids and I have a master degree in guidance counselor.As a career counseling, I decided to change career and explore the technology field. In the beginning I feel a little scared because I for my age (43 years old), but thanks to this course it gave me the confidence to continue preparing to find a job in the area.
This was challenging, but I enjoyed the challenge. The videos and amount of support received helped to make the content approachable and doable, which I appreciated. I look forward to the next workshop and to learning more!

I had attempted to learn CSS/HTML on my own previously to no avail, but learning it through SheCodes made it so much easier to follow and learn. The basics course also introduced JavaScript in a way that made it seem less intimidating as other websites I've seen previously.

Like the other workshops, I was satisfied by the amount of information shared by Matt. The course was challenging as expected, but not overwhelming. It was especially nice to get a walk through of how to complete the project as the workshop went on. It allowed me extra time and brain power to improve my project and work on my coding skills.

I enjoyed the React Add-On Workshop, it was great working on another project to further learn about React and how it works. It was interesting to learn how many APIs there are when creating the Dictionary Project. Matt does an amazing job at explaining everything, especially for beginners. I've already learned so much from the basics course, I'm excited to learn more with all of She Code's courses. I had limited knowledge in coding before the class, and was fairly intimidated by JavaScript, but I feel now that I have a better grasp on functions.
I've previously been too intimidated to dive into some of these more popular frameworks for fear of them going totally over my head. It was so easy to learn since it was broken up into tiny steps with lots of opportunities to practice the concepts of the week!
SheCodes Plus was so fun! I was so stoked to have created my very own live website! There were a couple times where I didn't understand the JavaScript, but rewatching the videos helped so much! Matt really explains the JavaScript thought process so well & he's not super technical with his explanation so anyone can understand him. I like how he mentions the common mistakes & he vocalizes his thought process even when the coding goes wrong - it reassuring. 😅 hehe. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed SheCodes Plus, but I still feel like there is plenty more to learn! Can't wait for the next workshop! - Happy Coder 😁
My Experience with SheCodes was amazing 10/10 highly recommend.
After completing Shecodes basics, I had to keep going and push myself. After completing plus, I feel incredibly accomplished. This program was tough to understand at first but there was no easier way to learn than under Matt's guidance. I had all the resources I needed to be successful. I was not thrown to the wolves. I will continue on my Shecodes journey here and keep learning and growing. I absolutely love these programs and I am excited for the doors this new knowledge will open for me.
I loved taking this course! It is the right amount of simplicity, challenging and fun!!! The videos are well thought out for you to understand just about everything and get you thinking critically on how to do some lessons. Slack is very helpful for referencing questions from other students. Knowing you will receive help from staff within 2 days is also very comforting. You are not alone on your coding journey.

This was so fun to code and the outcome always is so rewarding! The more projects I do the easier it gets.
I absolutely loved SheCodes Responsive, creating a portfolio was a much more interactive experience using the knowledge I learned in the previous courses. I decided to go for the photography portfolio to showcase some of my pictures taken over the years. With my previous knowledge, I was able to build a responsive website which also looked good! This project was one of the most exciting ones, as I was able to show what I am passionate about.
I truly enjoyed the Basics Add-On project. The step-by-step instruction really helps out when you get lost. "Dark theme" was challenging for me, but I continued rewriting the code until it worked out.

Coming from my background as a musician, coding feels both unfamiliar and also similar to learning a new language, like French or music. Even if it all seems new at first, elements become more familiar with use. The lesson videos move quickly but they're packed with information and you can always go back to review.
I loved this course! I was nervous going into it, but the content is structured into digestible chunks so well and I find Matt easy to follow along with. The weather app was a fun project and I feel so proud of what I made. 🤩 Excited for what's next!

Amazing workshop teaching me about responsive design.
I have always felt intimidated by coding but it was something I knew I wanted to learn eventually. I am glad I shared my interest in SheCodes to my significant other and received the support and final push I needed to attend the introduction workshop. Matt's introduction workshop made me feel empowered to code and I have gain a newfound motivation to create and continue my coding journey. I appreciate Matt and the SheCodes team creating a space where others similar to me can learn to code in a supportive community. After the Basics Add-On Workshop, I am more confident in playing with CSS.
I would highly recommend this workshop to absolutely anyone who is interested in pursuing coding as a career or even as a hobby. The lessons are explained in a matter where it is so easy to understand. I am taking this course while working over 65 hours a week at my current employment, and it allows me to understand in a short time and successfully complete my assignments. If i can do it anyone can do it.
It was good experience going through and building a portfolio.
The responsive add-on workshop was challenging to me, but it gave me a lot of knowledge of how to create a responsive website. I had fun learning about embeds, and how a responsive website should look like. If you haven't learning that much about responsive website, this would be the workshop for you.
This project was actually pretty fun and much easier for me to understand, for the most part! Can't wait to see what is next!
SheCodes makes learning how to code an amazing experience, all the workshops were beginner-friendly and very easy to learn and I had fun working on the challenges in each lesson
