I'm new to technology and needed a coding language. I heard amazing things about shecodes.io and thought to give it a try.
SheCodes is user friendly and I love how there is a whole support team on the Slack channel to help you if you do get stuck!
Really enjoyed the course and I am proud of everything I was able to create. Coming from a couple months of self studying this course really helped me stay committed and actually put my knowledge to use!
Lessons are flexible and easy to put down and pick back up again later when you only have a little time here and there throughout the week to devote to SheCodes. Super easy to follow along with and very clear challenges made it easy to do well!
Very easy to understand and follow along! I have a limited background in programming but with Matt's help, was able to learn the basics of web design. He's a great instructor and besides his videos, he also offers resources for you to use on your own projects. I definitely would recommend this to anyone who wants to get started in web design but has no idea where to start. All the students have access to a Slack as well where we can ask questions and receive help from the SheCodes staff or even each other. Learning something new doesn't feel so intimidating knowing that other students might be running into the same problems as you are. I just finished SheCodes Basics and can't wait to get started on SheCodes Plus!

I took this course on a whim not knowing anything about coding. I knew it would be challenging, but I never thought I would love it as much as I do! The curriculum was well taught and easy to follow and the challenges, homework, and final project were fun! I was able to create something completely from scratch that I never thought I could create! Signing up for SheCodes was an intense and strategic move for myself, personally. I've recently moved from a large city to a smaller one within a one year span. Within a two year span, I have returned to school to learn a new trade! Not once but twice! Working within my current field, I have realized that the industry that I'm currently in tends to take their employees for granted which is a pressing matter during the pandemic. I decided to make ANOTHER HUGE MOVE and go for web development! Following through with the promise, I've made to myself and to some near and dear family members; I've decided to apply for particular coding programs online. The only thing was that I couldn't keep my focus and even felt abandoned during assignments that needed to be passed to move forward inside of the platform. I then came across SheCodes while doing some more research. I happened to come across this fabulous company and learning platform whilst watching a Youtube video on learning HTML! I automatically applied for the live work shop with Matt and instantly was inspired to follow my heart! I haven't looked back since! Facing so much adversity and diversity within my life. I feel I am where I belong. Doing something that brings me true enjoyment! The program and staff make sure to challenge you to think outside of box and teaches you that not one piece fits in the same spot but there are multiple ways of solving and building your OWN WORLD! Which is PRETTY FREAKING COOL! The support on the site is TOP NOTCH! Working a full time job as a health care worker is overwhelming but when I feel as if can't move along with my assignments; there will always be a staff member of SheCodes to assist you along to lead the way! I'm definitely going to refer SheCodes to my friends and family in not so distant future because the future is here! More women in the tech world! SheCodes makes for a welcoming and easy first step into coding. Having not done any coding before, I was relieved to find success here! I'm so excited for my coding future.

SheCodes was an AMAZING workshop! Going into this, I knew nothing about coding and after finishing this workshop, I now have a pretty great basic understanding of how HTML, CSS & JavaScript works. The workshop was nice and easy to follow. You can watch the videos on your own time and finish the homework before the deadline. I also love the fact that we can reference back to the videos to remind us how to do certain codes.
The course was relatively easy to follow a few things id change to make it easier to figure out but over all a good course!
I started with no knowledge of coding and this was so informational and easy to understand. Truly a great program for anyone who wants to learn coding and I mean anyone! It was also a lot of fun and you always have someone to help you with any questions if you're stuck.

I'm looking to transition careers but without going back to school. Before the basics workshop I had no experience with creating my own web page but now I can create one from scratch using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I am so happy I found SheCodes Basics and Matt does a terrific job explaining the introductory concepts without babying us, while promoting self exploration.
Wow what a fantastic journey it was learning about coding with SheCodes. If I can learn, you can learn. This is a great beginning course for someone who has no clue what coding is about. I feel confident. I will use what I have learned about coding and teach it to children in my childcare business. I recommend this basic course to anyone wanting to try. The workshops help and the video presentations help a lot. The information is given in many different ways. You will learn to code if you complete the assignments. I love coding! The SheCodes workshops were easy to follow along with, even if they took longer than the five hours a week at times. I learned a lot and I'm glad there were a lot of resources I can use in the future.

This was an amazing experience! Matt was a wonderful teacher and explained how to code in a way that I could understand. I love that students have access to the SheCodes staff and support from other "SheCoders". Learning to code can be overwhelming initially, like learning a new language. It's totally worth the effort though. I've created something that I'm proud of, and I learned skills that I can use now or in the future.
SheCodes teaches coding in a precise way that allows the student to gain knowledge and practice on their own time. The breakdown of lessons, homework, and projects per week is optimal for anyone looking to expand their coding knowledge while working full time. As a mechanical engineer, I'm grateful for the opportunity to expand my skill set.

I love it! I do notice that it does get a little bit more challenging as we move week after week but nevertheless, I really enjoy learning coding! I am a seasoned Digital Marketer. I work a lot with dev teams on website development from UX/UI stand point so knowing coding will benefit my career greatly! 🥳 <- that's my favorite emoji BTW.
SheCodes was great! I struggled to learn coding basics on other websites, but something about SheCodes just clicked. I would definitely recommend it.

I would recommend this course for beginners. The lessons are broken up into digestible pieces. It is convenient to take this course at my own pace and being able to review the lessons when I need to. It is challenging to learn something totally new but by putting in the work and time, I can see that I have learned a lot.

Hi, coding is new for me and this experience has been a really fun one. I never thought I'd have fun doing and learning coding as I have tried it before using different platforms and so far this has been the one I found most effective for myself in learning.
I was happy to find SheCodes during a difficult time in my life: after I lost my job, and wanting to up-skill for my career as a graphic designer. I’d always thought about learning to code...but never made time for it during school, and didn’t know how or where to start learning on my own. SheCodes courses offered quick, straightforward, and nicely segmented workshops. I worked on projects at my own pace, with weekly benchmarks to keep me on track for my final projects. If I needed extra help, members of staff, and the SheCodes community, were always friendly and available for questions or help with my projects. I’ve taken several of their courses (Basics, Advanced, Responsive) and highly recommend them to anyone who wants to learn coding from scratch!

I was out of work for a while and decided to try my hand at coding. I'm glad I did! I checked out a couple of different online workshops before deciding that SheCodes was the one for me. The instructions and solutions are very in-depth and it is very useful to be able to practice everything on my own. Also, the access to other coders is valuable. I'm taking a liking to Front End Development so far and look forward to continuing my journey with SheCodes. 😁
These exercises are not easy but extremely fun and satisfying. In the course of 3 weeks I have learned enough useful coding to build a page. I feel so alive!

I'm a single mom of 2 little kids and I went to college and got my bachelors in Media Arts and Animation. A field hard to get into. I was also scammed by the school I attended and have been working in low income jobs to get by. Currently I'm a college grad working for Grubhub as a driver surviving on tips and I figured since i do have some coding experience within the 3D animation world, I might as well grow that skillset and struggle a bit less. So far I can easily follow the classes and I'm excited to see if I truly can understand coding enough to make a career out of it remotely.

I am currently looking into a career change and came across SheCodes while I was researching on where to start. I came into this course knowing absolutely nothing about coding, and I was very nervous before starting because I was scared I wasn't going to understand anything. The three-week course definitely introduced me to the basics that I feel I need to get started. It helped me gain the confidence that I needed to keep pushing myself to learn coding and showed me that I can actually learn how to code!
