I've been doing website design for years and even still I learned some things here in this first course. Excellent course and can't wait to start the next one!

Having no experience in coding and starting from scratch I am surprised at the information I have learned in the past few weeks. Matt does a great job in his videos of teaching different topics and other tips and tricks to make coding more efficient and enjoyable. I must say I have avoided this field because I did not think I had what it took to grasp the information, but after this experience I think I can see myself wanting to go further and potentially see this as a career option. I am very appreciative of Matt and his team for making this learning process enjoyable.
I love that this program is self-paced and interactive. SheCodes gives you a chance to practice each aspect of coding before moving on to the next lesson and it all builds on the previous lesson. Also, the Slack community is SO helpful when you get stuck on something.

I really enjoyed these lessons. It was like a walk through memory lane from what I learned in High School yet I only remembered some of the JavaScript stuff. Helped a lot and it made me create a project that I could show in my portfolio too.

The workload had been reasonable in a way that they challenge me but light to the feeling at the same time. Nothing too overwhelming in the sense that the workshops do not make me run away and avoid. I learned a lot and I'm really happy I signed up for the SheCodes Basic. I will definitely continue to explore the capabilities of Java Script and other programming languages. I saw myself progress so much even after the first week!
The courses videos were broken into easily digestible pieces which build on top of each other, before you know it you know how to design and build your own web page! They have requirements for the final project which means that unless you copy the demo site code and functionality you do not pass. They list the functionality they require but not the specific order they want it in and if you do not follow the order that they require you fail and have to resubmit.
I had never tried any front-end developing before or anything web designed based so I found this to be a very interesting challenge. It was nice to be able to go back and watch the videos whenever I got confused or couldn't remember something. And being able to ask for help in Slack if I got stuck was very helpful.
I loved this course as an intro to getting into HTML coding. It taught me how to be comfortable reading and working in an HTML page, how to work in VS Code, and provided me with a great learning community. They were always quick to respond when I had questions and broke down the lessons into manageable steps. It was nice to be able to learn in a way that catered to my preferred style of learning.
After the first workshop, I never imagined that it could get better, but I was eager to continue my journey. As well as learning so much, I have become an entirely different kind of frontend developer. I greatly appreciate the support I have received. Working on this project has been a wonderful experience.

As coding is becoming as important a skill as MSword in today's world, this course broke the ice for me to get into the coding world! It was so much fun! I've tried a few different "learn to code" courses and have found that they are either too vague or introducing too much at once but this course not only did a really great job of breaking down the material into bite-sized pieces but also managed to make it fun to learn. I felt like I could handle everything it was throwing at me and like I understood how to use the material following the exercises. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone seriously wanting to understand both the how and why behind the basics of HTML, CSS, and JS.
I really enjoyed this course. It was well structured, engaging, and easy to follow. Great instructor, support system, and resources! The challenges and homework helped me practice what had just been covered in the lesson, and I had fun with it.

It was a long time since I had coded but since joining SheCodes last year, I was sure I was going to pursue this to the end. The course material is well organized and clear making it easy to follow. I saw an advertisement for SheCodes on YouTube and took the free one hour introduction class. I am in my early 40s, a stay at home mom and have no experience with coding, but decided to take the 3 week SheCodes Basic course. I learned a lot and feel that in the future I could continue to further the coding path into a career.
It was a great course, I liked learning on my own and the assignments were easy to follow and refer back to later if I needed to look anything up.
What an amazing adventure! With all I have learned throughout my lifetime, learning to code has been the best. Finally finding that "thing" I can really do is so rewarding and I feel so accomplished already. This was such an easy approach and I am glad I chose this program. I can't wait to do more and really turn this into my career.

I had been considering joining SheCodes for over a year and so glad I finally made the decision to start. I'm a graphic designer hoping to break into tech and development and I feel more confident than ever that I will be able to do so once I complete the courses. Matt and the team have been extremely responsive - from signup to answering any questions I have on Slack - and the SheCodes community is so supportive. Would certainly recommend (and have already encouraged a few friends to sign up for) SheCodes to any woman regardless of their professional background!

This was a great way to get started on my learning journey. Each lesson was easy to follow and packed with information that I now feel confident putting into practice.
The SheCodes Basics workshop was a great way test out the coding waters. I had practiced with FreeCodeCamp prior to SheCodes so I had a little bit of practice but it was much easier to have Matt walking us through step by step with explanation and using Slack as extra assistance if needed. Even with a little prior knowledge, I still spent slightly over 5 hours per week for the first two weeks on lessons, challenges, and homework. As I could do this all in my own time, it was very manageable while working a full-time job. I loved and appreciated Matt’s laid back and fun teaching style and highly recommend SheCodes Radio while you’re coding!
As someone with absolutely no coding experience, SheCodes was a very comprehensive and engaging experience. The videos were easy to follow, and I enjoyed all of the challenges that helped me gain hands-on experience and the opportunity to improve my coding skills. I loved that I could work at my own pace. Even though the course was scheduled for 3 weeks, I could move ahead or take more time as my schedule allowed. I loved being able to help other students troubleshoot in Slack and knowing that I could turn to peers or instructors if I got stuck!

I came to SheCodes.io after I enrolled in another program and had the hardest time staying on schedule. When I found SheCodes I was researching for one of my Javascript assignments, and I just love how everything was explained so clearly. The first time I heard about SheCodes Workshop was from a friend of mine. She completed the course and shared how much she enjoyed it. After some time, I started thinking that it would be good to broaden my horizons and learn something entirely new from my field of expertise. I'm really happy I decided to sign up for the SheCodes Basic course! It was really fun to learn something new that I didn't mind working on after work. It's definitely something I will be adding to my resume and hopefully get to use in the future! It won't be long before I sign up for the other SheCodes courses that are offered now that I've gotten a taste for it.
This intro class was worth every penny! I learned so much useful information and feel empowered to continue creating my own web pages and am considering continuing my coding education. I now have an understanding of the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Help is always readily available whenever you need it.

Having a structured introduction program to coding was a great way to grow my interest and motivate. On top of that, the video lessons were easy to follow and commented on more than just the "how" but also on conventions and standards.
Fantastic introductory coding course and I'd recommend this course to anyone who wants to dip their toe into coding. Our instructor Matt did an excellent job at explaining each lesson.
I had tried doing other online courses myself through Coursera.org for coding but this is the first one that I've actually stuck with because Matt doesn't bog you down in all of the technicalities of how and why things work. He just gets you coding the basic stuff without going into too much detail that just confuses you. I also haven't had to use Slack yet to ask a question (another testament to how well the videos teach you), but I really appreciate that that is an option because other online courses don't offer any quick support.
I wanted to learn a new skill that would help me in the future whether in my current career or a future one. I started with the Basic Workshop and it was very informative for being a beginner in coding. I can't wait to learn more.
SheCodes made the content easy to understand and very engaging for a total beginner. I have tried different courses and watched various coding videos, but it never captivated my interest long enough for me to continue. I plan to continue the next SheCodes workshop.

As a busy mother of 2 children under the age of 5. I've been looking for a career where I could work remotely. I have a diploma in Human Resources but I've been looking to switch it up and get into TECH. After much research, I decided to start with coding. I looked into some coding bootcamps, many were suggested by other women on Twitter, unfortunately, none of them seemed to captivate my interest. I tried to do it myself with youtube and gave up. On a random day scrolling through Youtube, I saw an ad for SheCodes and signed up for the free coding class! I thought why not it's free. After the free coding workshop I was confident that I could do it! Another thing that captivated my attention, was how colorful and modern the website was. As for the workshops, it took time management, patience, and encouragement! Knowledge is power!🏆
