The moment I started Week One/Lesson One of SheCodes Basics, I was hooked! The entire course was extremely informative and Matt does a fantastic job explaining concepts that I was otherwise having difficulty grasping. The challenges, homework and final project were a lot of fun and definitely solidified what I'd learned previously in the lesson videos!
Really enjoyed the class! The videos and practical exercises were relevant to the topics covered and I learned a lot. I feel confident in my new coding abilities and am looking forward to experimenting more with the material.
I highly recommend the SheCodes workshop! I was a bit hesitant to start the 3-week workshop but I am so happy I did! I feel like I learned quite a bit in such a short-period of time and the lessons are explained in such an understandable way. This is definitely a great course to take if you want to learn the basics of coding.

Learning to code is something I NEVER thought I would understand or do; however, the SheCodes introductory course layout was easy to follow. The weekly hands-on activities were engaging and fun and helped with a deeper understanding of coding. I plan to continue learning to code.
My favorite aspect of SheCodes is that it was not overwhelming-the lessons are short and manageable and the assignments are fun and let you test your creativity. The 3 week course allowed me to dip my toes in the proverbial coding water before I dived in fully.
This was another great course! Definitely a bit more challenging than the first but definitely worth it. Highly recommend!
I never knew my MySpace days we were coding, using html & css to beautify our pages; I didnβt even know this was considered coding until 2019 when I seen it on TikTok! Iβm so proud of myself π₯Ή! Switching careers can be a scary experience but it has been an great experience learning coding and in-depth, I have to admit I was a bit intimidated to venture off into tech but having Matt as an instructor π¨βπ« made the experience even better! I'm so glad that I signed up for SheCodes! I love learning but I typically pick up knowledge that doesn't apply to a potential career change. In less than two weeks, I've been able to build a rudimentary website using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The classes are fun, challenging and leave plenty of time for practicing new skills. I can't wait to learn more in the following workshops!

Super thankful that these programs exist to promote women to explore other avenues. Signing up for the workshop has helped me manage my anxiety, because I'm hyperfocused on learning material and concepts that are all new to me. The space to learn and to work at your own pace, is super helpful as well. The community within SheCodes is super patient, amiable, and helpful.

I started SheCodes with absolutely no coding experience. In a small length of time, I've learned so much and gained many new skills. Matt explains the workshop extremely well and I love how the team was there whenever I was stuck on a challenge. Honestly, getting stuck was the fun part, it improved my problem-solving skills and allowed me to be creative. I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone trying to simply learn something new or eventually make a career change.

I was really glad that the lessons are in "bite sized" pieces because as a beginner there were lots of videos I had to rewatch to fully absorb the information. I really like that SheCodes Instructor Matt also shows you how to find other solutions and resources online.

Few years ago I took courses on JavaScript but it didn't really click. It's when I started SheCodes workshops I was fascinated and eager to learn. I couldn't have imagined I would end up here, excited to learn and have fun coding. I had watched videos and tried coding courses but it did not work out well for me because it was poorly explained and extremely confusing. I have learned so much just from SheCodes basics workshop, that completing that final project felt like a huge accomplishment. The instructor Matt, has done an amazing job putting these lessons together.

This was the best decision I've ever made! I was so overwhelmed with the myriad of coding workshops available, and this was the only one that seemed affordable and easy to grasp. The initial information session was not only informative but it was fun! The 3 week introduction is just what you need to get your feet wet in coding. The time commitment was very feasible and the Matt explained everything throughly and plainly. The best part is that each week you build on your skills and actually retain what you've learned. I was looking to up-skill myself and came across SheCodes. The Workshop was interesting and it motivated me to learn the skills in detail that I already knew in bits and pieces, understand the basics and build on top of it, enhance the skill with latest trends. SheCodes gives the flexibility to learn at own pace but with moderation which is very impressive. It is a nice and well organised platform.The courses are designed in an approachable way, the team is very helpful and keeps us on track. Homework are checked and you get your results in email which is encouraging. SheCodes is doing some amazing things for women globally, and it's so exciting that I got to be a part of that! I loved that participating in a course was also helping women in developing countries to be able to do the same!

This was a great experience! A nice bite-size introduction to front-end coding.
Let me start off by saying that this experience learning from Shecodes has changed my life forever! I was never that kid who loved the computer growing up; that was my younger sister. I studied music while she went on to become a successful Program Developer. I would always watch her work and felt like it was too hard for me to ever understand; coding was out of my league. When I saw this opportunity come up, I became excited. I started reading all the stories of people who changed their careers after taking the classes and knew I wanted the same opportunity. I started with the basic introductory video, and I was HOOKED!! I found myself talking to anyone who would listen about my Shecodes experience. I called my sister, and she was so excited for me. I was asking questions about coding and weβre bonding even closer because of it. Learning something new, especially at an older age can be frightening. Iβm telling you that Shecodes is an experience that every new student should experience. Matt does an incredible job explaining the details so when its time to show your work through homework, you feel confident. The course has been beneficial. It was a pleasure to hear the instructor, Matt speak and enjoy his wonderful sense of humor. SheCodes Plus was awesome! I greatly enjoyed building my weather app. The lessons helped me gain the understanding and confidence to keep building and trying new things in JavaScript.
Came in knowing not a whole lot about coding, but after just the introduction workshop, I have gain a new skill that I will continue to use. I will continue using the skills I learned and will hopefully get to do all the workshops!! So happy I found this when I did!

The concept of coding terrified me to a certain degree. I was debating whether I should even get into the field of programming. Yet, I knew if I didn't take action now, I would regret it later. I've always been iffy about major life-changing decisions and the outcomes they will have later in my future. Therefore, I decided to take charge and not overthink it if I genuinely wanted to achieve in life. I took that step and joined SheCodes! At first, I was overwhelmed with fear and failure, but I saw how easy-going each lesson was as soon as I started the program. I am very content with how far I made it! So, if you're debating whether you should join SheCodes, remember to think about how this will benefit you later on!
At first two class were easy i not going to lie some of the class were a it hard. but it helped be find videos that explain some of the topic's from the class which it helped doing the class.

I'm a 4th grade math and science teacher, so finding time is sometimes hard but when I do, its such a fun and informative experience. Taking this workshop has been so eye opening to understanding so much more about the coding world and I'm honestly just having fun. I really enjoy this course! :)
My interest in front-end coding started during my current job requiring web debugging. My day-today work involves debugging and ensuring data flow through API's and web pages. Being a database developer, I gradually became interested in code behind web pages and wanted to learn the basics of coding and upskill myself to get better at my current job and potentially explore a career as a front end developer in future.

I attended a free SheCodes class at a really low point in the pandemic for my mental health; After the free workshop I became increasingly interested in the career possibilities of a switch to working in tech. The flexibility of SheCodes allows me to work toward a dedicated goal, without entirely consuming my life. SheCodes opened up a whole new world for me. Matt does a great job explaining difficult concepts in an simple way. I didn't know if coding was for me or not, which is why I only took the basic course but I learned a lot about coding in just 3 weeks. I'm definitely considering a career as developer now. I really enjoyed completing all the assignments and don't regret spending a single dime on this workshop. Definitely recommend it if you are curious about coding but aren't sure if it's for you.

SheCodes was a great way to dip my toe into the world of coding. I enjoyed the structure of the course and feel I learned a lot in a short time. The class was just as I expected, I can't build the most amazing website, but I have a foundation and basic understanding of html, and Java.

Jumped into this workshop with no prior knowledge of coding. Just wanted to get a feel so maybe I could pivot out of healthcare. I loved it. It was satisfying to watch something you've built go from start to finished product. I'm thankful that SheCodes was so structured but not too rigorous. Help was always available and I never felt like I was drowning when I did get stuck.

I joined SheCodes to brush up on my coding. I haven't done any coding since undergrad (3 years ago). This course is a great refresher especially for those of us who may have touched programming, but was not necessarily focused on it. I always loved coding, but I absolutely HATED web development. Shecodes makes web development both easier and much more enjoyable.
I had no experience prior to this workshop and felt too intimidated to get into coding. Through this workshop, I felt I was able to learn a good foundation and I enjoyed doing the challenges/hw. The videos were really easy to follow and understand. Even though I never had to ask directly for help, it was really eye-opening to go through the chat and see what different ways other people were going about assignments. I highly recommend this workshop :)
These past three weeks have been incredible! I've learned so much in such a short period of time, and I can't wait to see where this coding journey takes me!
I really enjoyed this workshop and the process and challenge of learning to create responsive websites. Matt provides excellent instruction and guidance and his step-by-step walk-through of the building process and best practices on using the various tools were really valuable. I would highly recommend SheCodes Basics Workshop. I really appreciated the learning videos and the assignments at the end of each lesson. I believe this is the best way to learn for me as there are different ways to absorb the information. I am now confident that I am able to use HTML, CSS and JavaScript to design beautiful webpages.
Just from learning through SheCodes Basics, I could say that I can now eloquently build websites by learning the basics (HTML, CSS & JS)! Matt taught me everything that I needed to know in such an effective way; guiding me through every step I needed to understand, just like baby steps! I love the fact that I'm allowed to do these classes in my own time and capacity, and the projects are really fun and challenging to do! It's really pushing my boundaries to want to learn more and challenge myself to become a better programmer in the future! I'm going to do all of the workshops but this one was amazing to introduce me to the computer science world and the basics of a website. I can't wait to start the other ones and learn everything from front-end development.

I have worked in healthcare for more than a decade and was looking to find something more stimulating and new to dive into. I received an invitation for a free coding session with SheCodes and became very interested in the world of coding. From someone who had never even seen what coding was, I feel proud and excited to have been able to complete the SheCodes Basic course. I have learned so much and accomplished more than I thought I was capable of!
