Shecodes was a great starter to learn how to code, and in simple steps. So much fun and will likely learn more in the future!
I started learning coding through a game that teaches programming languages, and I loved the puzzle-solving aspect, which inspired me to delve deeper into coding. SheCodes has been the perfect platform for that journey! I enjoyed exploring HTML, CSS, and JavaScript during the SheCodes Basics workshop, and I'm eager to continue learning in the next workshop. Coding allows me to be creative and feel challenged, which I find incredibly rewarding. SheCodes has been an ideal learning experience, and Matt is an amazing teacher! For my project, I chose to create a page advocating for expanded shore access in Massachusetts, driven by frustrations over recent changes to local beach parking policies.

The instructor explains things in a way that really helps you understand what is going on. For a moment you are freaking out like, oh that sounds confusing but then he tells you to hold on, and uses some sort of metaphor to help explain it. I learned some things that I didn't quite understand before.
I learned so much during this class! I loved being able to learn at my own pace while still having assignments to keep me accountable. I can't wait to keep learning more!

After spending 10 years in the Logistics field, I decided it'd be a good idea to expand my skillset. I came across SheCodes, took a free course and enjoyed it very much. I've just finished my Basics workshop and I'm looking forward to continue.

The course is great for the beginners: short videos (no more 15-hour long Youtube tutorials ๐), challenges are good. I am happy to see a result of my work at the end of each week
This course was super challenging, but it was really exciting and lots of fun! I love that this course allows its students to complete coursework according to their own availability each week, while also having weekly assignments and projects that help keep you accountable and on-track. It offers a great level of flexibility, but also provides structure at the same time which I really appreciate as a working professional. I also really enjoy being a part of the SheCodes community. With each course, you have the ability to interact with other students who are learning the same things as you and instructors who are there to help and answer questions along the way.
I have always been interested in technology, organization, and creativity. I am looking for a career change and I have been becoming more interested in coding. It is a very scary concept and I had no idea how to even start learning. I came across SheCodes and jumped right into the courses. Matt is a GREAT teacher! He is so easy to follow and I was able to complete the final project almost completely by myself!
I had an awesome experience with SheCodes Plus! I did the Basic class first and loved it so much I had to go back for more. The Plus is definitely a step up! It's much harder, but the way Matt explains everything in the videos is great. The SheCodes team members were wonderful to work with and so helpful whenever I got stuck. It was great to have an online class with real people checking over my homework. It kept me accountable for my work! I highly recommend these workshops for anyone looking for a new skill in tech.

After completing SheCodes Basics, I decided to commit to the complete curriculum. It has been challenging juggling a full time job and a newborn, but I found these courses to be fun and would work on it night/ weekends. I've learned a lot in the 8 weeks and excited to continue with the next workshop.
I love how this workshop lets you go at your own pace because I have two small kids and a full time job. Slack is great, I also use it at my full time job so I was familiar with it, but it is a great tool to be able to use throughout this course. I am excited to keep going with the other workshops in the near future!
In comparison to other free coding courses that I have taken, Matt's detailed explanations and use of real-world examples in his lessons has helped me understand the functions of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. As someone who is transitioning into the Learning & Development industry, this workshop has inspired me to think of new ways to create engaging yet accessible online curricula and other instructional materials. I've been wanting to try coding for some time now, but was always intimidated because I knew nothing of the field. After leaving the teaching field, I found SheCodes and I couldn't be more excited! It can be tough to stay focused, even when you're motivated, while also navigating a full-time job and life in general (especially in these times). SheCodes Plus was challenging and rewarding at the same time, I learned so much, and if I could go back in time, I would do it over again. I have no experience in coding and I thought the classes were very interesting and well taught. Matt was very good at explaining and showing examples on how to create the codes. I am glad I took this course, it has given me a lot of insight into the world of tech.

My experience is been Awesome! Matt is such a good teacher who explains everything so well. The course helps understanding on how with knowing the technical language we can build and host web page.
Taking these courses has been both exhausting and exhilarating! First, I want to say that Matt is the bomb!! That man knows how to teach! He is so thorough and executes the lessons flawlessly. I love that in each video you learn just 1 or 2 things! That made this journey doable!! So, if any seniors out there want to learn something new, go for it! I may be 65, but I feel energized, so smart and happy. I'm taking more courses on SheCodes because I know with Matt teaching the classes that I can do it!

Although I was not really a beginner, I am so glad I took this workshop. Not only do I understand HTML and CSS at a deeper level, but I now know the best practices. I also finally got to learn Javascript. The challenges keep you engaged and excited to start the next lesson. I hope to take the other workshops in the future!

I struggled to keep up with the pressure of a previous coding bootcamp, on top of the pandemic I felt like I was just doing enough to get by and not actually learning. Now being able to go at my own pace is such a relief and I feel so much more confident with what I can do!
I started SheCodes Basics with no prior knowledge on coding and I ended the course learning so much! The Basics course was a great place to start learning and to get comfortable with the different elements of coding. I was able to go at my own pace and learn the material thoroughly. ๐

Matt is fantastic! I've used other online courses before, but the way that Matt uses screen recordings to demonstrate the code really gives an in-person type feeling to the instruction. It makes it more personable in a way. Having Slack as a resource is a life saver, and I really did feel like I was learning along with others.

Although I was frustrated the entire coding process, this workshop was worth the stress. A responsive website is essential in this day and age and I am glad SheCodes provided me with the knowledge to do so.

I've always wanted to learn and work in the tech field but regular schooling isn't for me. I just recently learned about coding bootcamps and as we all know the prices are extremely high. I was happy to come across SheCodes, the prices are great and its for women. I have time to learn code at my pace without getting too stressed, being able to re-watch any videos and search for my questions that have already been asked, I love it because I am a "do it/find it yourself kind of person. Can't wait to see what the next workshop brings.

This has been really interesting, and I appreciate the teaching style and support
I have tried so many other platforms, and none of them felt right. I've even went as far as trying to join a pretty expensive coding bootcamp that was intended for women, but the curriculum was difficult to understand. Not all content is built equally. I thought that the issue was my ability to understand coding. However, SheCodes proved me wrong, the content is built for beginners. I really value the homework, the simplicity, the platform layout, the UI is refreshing and makes sense, the support has been incredible. I can go on, and on. Through this workshop I have learned that coding can be fun and engaging. Thus far, this has been the most memorable coding experience has been with SheCodes, and it is with the completion of the SheCodes Basics workshop that I felt the most confident in my newly learned skills.

This workshop was challenging, but in the end it is really rewarding. I really did not think I would be able to build an efficient weather app. Thanks to how this course was broken down into parts made it less overwhelming to approach such a project.
I've struggled with traditional schooling due to ADHD, but this was a very enjoyable and easy to follow along workshop. Responsive customer service, and fun bite sized courses. I will be continuing my coding education through SheCodes!
This course let me refresh some knowledge I already had in HTML & CSS and taught me some basics about Javascript.

After doing the SheCodes Basics workshop, I couldn't wait to continue on to SheCodes Plus...and it did not disappoint. It was challenging at times but Matthieu makes the solution videos very easy to understand what you're having trouble with. I love that everything is still available for me to look back to in case I need a refresher and the final project is such a great real-world project that showcases all the coding you've been learning while allowing you to get creative if you want to.
