I am thankful for this opportunity because it has allowed me to broaden my skillsets and gain knowledge in a field that I have never considered prior.

I loved that you could do the lessons at your own pace at anytime. With a newborn and a toddler that was crucial to my success. Matt made learning the concepts enjoyable and easy to grasp. I can't wait to continue learning with SheCodes and see where it takes me 👩🏽‍💻

I've wanted to learn how to code for years, and joining the SheCodes free Coding Class was that final push that inspired me to try it! I signed up for the Basics Workshop immediately, and I've had so much fun learning something new and challenging myself. I'm so glad I did this!

SheCodes makes everything clear and easy to learn. They throw in some challenges that require critical thinking and sometimes checking with classmates on the SlackChat groups but overall, if you listen and take notes during the lectures, the assignments are very straight forward. I also love that once you submit your work you are given an explanation for the solution and a chance to fix your code and resubmit!

I have tried other courses in the past and this is the first one I feel really shows what coding is about and is using real life tools to set me up for success!

Personally, I thought SheCodes Basics was great. It was a very interactive introductory course to HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I did use Codecademy prior to starting the workshop, but I didn't feel motivated enough to finish the courses I signed up for. Unlike Codecademy, I was able to finish the workshop quite quickly, finishing it in less than a week. I recommend it for people who just want to know the very basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and make simple webpages.

It was a perfect way to understand more about coding to know if I could learn it since it always looks like something hard to do! the explanation of the videos was really good and easy to follow through! I enjoy the course!

SheCodes Basics taught me so much so quickly! I can't wait to continue practicing & rounding out the skills I've gained in HTML, JavaScript, & CSS. This gave me a glimpse into a world I had no prior knowledge of before & I feel confident on how to build from here.

Signing up for SheCodes was hands-down the best decision I have ever made! I had wanted to attend a coding workshop for years but was worried I would be over my head. The one-hour free introduction course provided sold me on signing up, and I had an absolute blast completing all the challenges. I have worked in digital marketing for 6+ years and wanted to explore the world of tech. For many years I thought there was no place for me because I do not have an affinity for math and science, but I was wrong. I'm excited to become a front-end developer, and to specialize in an area of tech.

I was very nervous to start this course, to my surprise I learned a lot from SheCodes. I did not have a lot of background knowledge of how to code and I feel like I learned a lot based on the program.

This was very interesting and good course for me. I know many new information.

This has taught me so much! The foundation and the building blocks are there. Can't wait to learn more about how to go from here!! :)

I really enjoy the style of teaching with SheCodes. The small blocks of content with the exercise challenge really tie everything together. Easy to follow along and learn!

It's very fun to learn with SheCodes, I loved every minute! The lessons are short and contain small chunks of info that are easy to digest. It's also great that there are plenty of practice and feedback. I finally started getting a grip of all this web developing stuff and now I feel more confident, especially with javascript.

I am so excited to continue my journey with SheCodes! I never thought I would be a coder but SheCodes makes coding so accessible and easy to understand that I am actually having fun while I learn! I have loved the challenge of SheCodes Plus! Javascript is hard but, Matt makes it easy to understand. It's been fun making the weather app and actually seeing it work in real time!

For someone who was completely new to coding I think this would be a great beginners course. I found that the lesson were easy to follow along with so I never really had any problems when understanding concepts. If you ever need help though, there is always help in slack. The people on there are very friendly so don't be afraid to ask for help. Overall I would really recommend this course for everyone.

I am an IT project manager and after many years working on teams with brilliant software engineers/programmers, I decided it was time for me to have more knowledge about what they are tasked with day to day so I can better support and understand. I also wanted to gain more hard skills for myself along way. I signed up for SheCodes to start that journey. A few weeks in and I can't believe how challenging and rewarding it has been. I am actually enjoying it! I can't wait to continue the program and continue to learn.

I really enjoyed the Basics class and found the step-by-step process very helpful since I am brand new to coding. It took me longer than the suggested time I think partially because I kept a detailed notebook and really wanted to try to figure out the solutions on my own to learn as much as possible through problem-solving. I look forward to the next workshop, SheCodes Plus!

I'm a 27-year-old who spent six years attending school as a teacher (with a master's). In my third year in the classroom, my health started struggling. My asthma took a toll on me, and in May I ended up in the hospital for a whole week. The Doctors kindly suggested that I should reconsider my career. Although I did want to and I knew it was for my best. Starting a whole new career at 27 wasn't exactly what I had planned for my life. But SheCodes has made it easy, fun, challenging, and exciting to transition. Having a founder that is so down to earth and genuinely cares about what he is building and who he is helping, is truly encouraging. I also feel like I have a community of women that are empowering each other, and that is just priceless.

I am so thankful for SheCodes and its resources to help me to learn the basics of coding!

I always enjoyed working with computers and wanted to learn more but did not know where to start. I was on Instagram and the ad for SheCodes kept coming up on my feed. I decided to take the free class and the next thing I know I signed up for SheCodes Basics and now I want to keep moving up and getting better and better in coding.

I have tried multiple programming courses. SheCodes has been different in the way Matt is able to SHOW you what he means and exactly what he is asking for in projects and lessons. This helped boost my confidence to continue on with this line of work!

I'd looked into several options to learn coding online, and this intro course was exactly what I needed. The structure of the class is perfect: bite-sized lessons to complete on your own time, but a firm enough schedule to keep you on track. If you've been considering coding and need a place to start, SheCodes Basics course gives you the best bang for your buck.

I have been learning through various courses about programing in high school and college. The issue for me was that there has not been enough order in specific concepts or communication in my courses. This made me feel very behind and unprepared during my previous internship. Now, I have covered some basics that I was never even introduced to and I can full heartedly say I had more enjoyment out of this course than any in person courses at my university! I had also never been able to be apart of a community within my major during my time at my university. I now feel more comfortable than ever to ask any questions and reach out to this wonderful and growing community! I have always wanted to learn more out side of the classroom and this is defiantly where I can do that!

Before SheCodes I did not understand anything about coding. With the basics workshop, I learned so much in a short amount of time. I am glad I invested.

Excellent workshop! The lessons were easy to follow, and the projects were a good challenge.

This course was easy to follow as someone who has zero coding experience. As challenging as the content was, Matt explained things well and really went step by step. For problems I could not solve immediately, I could look back at past lessons, or use the research methods he recommended to find solutions.

I had always avoided anything to do with computers because I do not enjoy math. I didn't realize it was as simple as it was for me to manipulate my MySpace layouts in high school. This course was a lot of fun and Matt is a great teacher. I learned so much and plan to learn more in the future!

SheCodes has helped me understand coding so well! The team is amazing and helps me with any questions I have. I took a break after the basics workshop, but now I will be completing all the workshops. I can't wait to learn more!

Completing the SheCodes Basics Workshop was an eye-opening and freeing experience for me! I had ZERO knowledge of coding when starting the course, and three weeks later, I proudly designed and coded my first landing page. The videos were easy-to-follow, and I enjoyed the interactive challenges.

The class was really fun. It takes some practice to remember what punctuation goes after which element, but it's no biggie. With the challenges, homework, and the project, there are plenty opportunities to do trial and error and realize what I need to improve on. Thank you for this class.

I went into the Basics class knowing NOTHING about coding, and came out the other side making my own webpage! It feels so neat to create something from nothing. I definitely want to keep learning more!
