Taking this workshop was interesting. I learned of SheCodes from my sister and her friends, the latter of which is also taking this course. First thing I want to say is it is cool how this website is targeted towards women. This is something that is very rare, so it's nice to see women being able to learn a new skill exclusively. I also like how SheCodes can be used from woman around the world. For myself, I enjoyed the class for the most part. Matt did a good job with his lessons and it was easy to find time for them. I also have found, thanks to SheCodes, that coding can be quite fun since you get to create your own things. You don't need to know design or even math, the latter which is very true, and it's been fun being able to make my own page even if it's a simple style. Overall though I'm glad I took this class and hope to take the others in the near future.
Really enjoyed this course! It was challenging and I honestly felt great even if I didn't fully understand something. I have learned so much and I am looking forward to learning so much more from the other courses.
SheCodes has given me a great introduction to the world of coding!
The SheCodes Basic course was an awesome stepping stone to learning the basics of coding. The classes were easy to follow and I feel more confident in my abilities after these 3 weeks. Couldn't recommend this course enough for people who want to start learning how to code!
Learning a new skill is challenging but Shecodes made the whole process easy for me to understand how to code and each lesson included additional resources to help me get a better understanding. The entire website is greatly organized and by the time I had to create my final project I felt confident in my abilities to start it. I am so grateful for Shecodes for helping me start my journey in coding!

The SheCodes Plus workshop is a great experience! I enjoyed building my own project and it was broken down in such a way that made it easy and enjoyable to follow. Even though some parts were difficult, such as learning how to integrate the API, the videos make it easy to follow along and understand.
This basic workshop helped me to learn the firsts steps about coding, Im make myself proud in every challenge and homework successfully completed
This program was much easier to follow along with than previous programs I've tried in the past, and the slack chat is a real help! Keep in mind that you will have to do your own research and problem-solving to finish some of the challenges, and it's not fully comprehensive. The Basics course has helped me a lot, but I certainly don't know everything about JavaScript yet! I look forward to continuing my learning in the other workshops.
I came to SheCodes with some old school coding experience (circa 2009) and I found the basics workshop to be easy to follow and very thorough. Matt encourages the student to research and I think this is such a huge step in any learning process. Will be moving on to PLUS workshop next!
I would highly recommend SheCodes to anyone and everyone! I was recently searching for a new career path and figured I would try something completely out of my comfort zone! With a 2 year old and a full time job, flexibility was really important for me. Luckily for me I came across SheCodes and was able to complete the beginner course on my own time. Definitely hoping to complete more courses and make a career change.

Great intro to HTML, CSS and JS!
I would highly recommend this program to anyone that is simply interested in dabbling into the unknown of tech. I have grown from knowing absolutely nothing about coding to actually creating and designing on my own. The weekly lessons and challenges were super helpful and kept me accountable each week to grow my skills and produce legit, functional code. I love learning new things regardless, and coding is surely an area I'm excited to continuously challenge myself and grow more. Thank you She Codes for the motivation and opportunity to start! Lot's more to learn ahead!

Good introduction to coding!
Would highly recommend SheCodes to fellow beginners who want to get their start in tech. Everything was super easy to digest and the practice and homework assignments that went along with each class helped solidify everything we learned.
This particular workshop was more practical, even more so than React. Learning how to make websites responsive, adding media queries, advanced HTML links, Bootstrap, and CSS will all be tools that can applied to future web design.
This course did just what they say it would - gave me the basics I need to progress with proper practices and habits as it pertains to coding. I recommend using the SheCodes Spotify playlist for your homework, makes it a lot of fun.
This was a challenge but I took my time so that I can learn everything that was needed in the first certification.
I graduated with an associates degree in computer programming 14 years ago, but for personal reasons having to do with family obligations, I never got to actually use my degree. I am using this workshop as a refresher course. So far it's a good course in the basics. I'm looking forward to seeing what more the workshop has to offer.

This class taught me so much about the basics of web development that I've been inspired to continue on learning so I can become a developer!
I has to do a small bit of coding for statistical analysis for a class in my master's program. I became very curious about if I could code. This course was so user friendly, and I felt like it fit my learning style very well. I had dabbled in some other courses, but this just suited me better. I enjoyed it very much, and I feel like I have some basic competency.
I don't feel that I have gone through enough of the program to give a testimonial. Perhaps ask me again once I have completed the program.

I was having a hard time creating my website until I decided to start the basic SheCodes workshop. After the first week, I was already feeling comfortable enough to understand what I should improve and how to start. I had a lot of fun coding, and I would recommend the workshop with my eyes closed. Just one piece of advice: Be careful! SheCodes will make you fall in love with coding!
I have really enjoyed the videos and how Matt explains things, it makes it easy to pick up and understand. I also really love that there are projects to do from scratch at the end of each week, and a final project at the end to put everything I have learned into action.

As a Web Developer, I was seeking to brush up on some skills, especially JavaScript. I wanted to see how the course was presented and taught before moving on to the other courses. So I started with the SheCodes Basic workshop. Matt is an amazing instructor. The course is presented in bite-sized chunks so you don't get overwhelmed. It leaves out all the bloat found in other online and classroom courses. It is a great course for anyone wanting to see if coding is for them. The Slack channel offers assistance when you need it. Overall, I am very pleased and will be recommending SheCodes to others.
The workshop was well-paced and fun to work through, I felt like I was kept on track and made to focus without feeling stressed or overloaded. There is the freedom to be creative and explore with enough structure that I didn't feel lost.
It was so fun to learn from SheCodes. The challenge part and weekly deadline really pushed me to learn the contents more in depth. Definitely doing all the other workshops.

The live video recordings give the best sense of real-time instruction, and the Slack chat assistance that all students have access to does help you feel connected to a source of help. This course has probably been the best source for learning code at one's own pace. I would definitely recommend this course for anyone looking to get into coding.

Shecodes was a gamechanger for learning to code. I have tried a handful of coding resources, but I couldn't stay motivated or interested in the material. When I signed up for Shecodes basics, I was hooked. Matt explained the material very well, but also taught you to use other resources to help you along the way! I'm farther in my journey of web development now thanks to Shecodes. I look forward to my next workshop with them!

I had a great experience. The solutions after challenges really helped me understand and I love the concept behind the company. It's amazing to see women from all around the world in the slack channel and all our work in one place. I learned html and css during design school (its been awhile) but this was my first time learning javascript. Overall I feel like the basics workshop was well worth the money. Give it a try!
Coding seemed like a big overwhelming monster before SheCodes. I had no idea where to start so I just kept putting it off. This workshop was so clear and the small steps made it feel approachable and at times even easy, and when I did struggle help was readily available. I'm excited to see how these new skills can contribute to building my career!
SheCodes Plus was a really fun challenge! I love how the weather app project builds incrementally over the weeks. There was always something new to learn--even in the solution videos! Again, Matt and the SheCodes team did a phenomenal job! Can't wait to learn more in the next workshop!

This course was fun and challenging. Lessons were broken down into bite size pieces with achievable goals. I would highly recommend it.

Overall, I would give this program a 4.3/5. I learned a lot and the lessons taught 1 to 2 ideas to learn at a time, making it easier to learn without getting overwhelmed. If you are not sure you are interested in coding, taking the basic course is a good way to see if it is for you. It also makes me appreciate those who do coding for a living and how much goes into just one web page.
Going through the whole experience with SheCodes has been SO helpful! The workshops are structured wonderfully and make learning easy and fun.
It was really fun and easy to follow. The lesson challenges were really good progress checkpoints that weren't too difficult or off the mark from what was taught.

I was very nervous to start this workshop since I went in knowing absolutely NOTHING about coding! Taking the beginners course showed me that coding can be fun and isn't rocket science like I had thought. The workshops and challenges were so helpful in allowing me to practice what I had learned. And now I'm excited to learn more and hopefully jump start a career as a coder!

Loved the ability to work at my own pace. Matt was very good about teaching a "think outside the box" mentality. At times it was frustrating and challenging, but it ended up strengthening a soft skill - critical thinking. I want to continue to grow the knowledge I've gained so far!

I never thought I would be so engaged in coding! The Plus workshop has been a blast. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process of creating a weather application. I thinks this class is great for beginners, who never done coding before. But I would like videos a bit longer to explain some details a bit more. Still it is great if you are just starting, I never did coding before but now after finishing this class I know how to code as a beginner and I think now I will join a class for professionals and I hope I will be a pro one day.

SheCodes made coding seem much less intimidating than I initially thought. I had fun building websites and working through each small challenge.
I have experience with HTML and CSS, however JavaScript has always been a struggle. I've tried many other resources and couldn't get an understanding of JS where I felt comfortable to move on. SheCodes Basics was just what I needed to move forward with my learning.

This has been a great experience, by far it has really allowed me to understand a bit more of coding. The course is very interactive and some languages took a bit more time to understand. It was rewarding to see that using all three languages could creating a wonderful page.

I've always wanted to do SheCodes since I was younger.
