SheCodes has a way of teaching coding where it's not overwhelming for newbie, like myself. They also gave plenty of resources to help you along the way. I never felt like I was on my own during this journey.
I enjoyed the SheCodes Basics workshop. It allowed me to refresh my rusty knowledge of HTML & CSS, and I got to learn some basic javascript. It was paced well, with the curriculum broken up into small, digestible pieces. I am a full-time employee and very busy mom, so it was important for me to be able to complete a few lessons each night and still have the flexibility to extend assignment deadlines, if needed. I look forward to starting the next workshop. Thank you for putting together this great basics workshop, SheCodes team!
Have always been interested in web development and coding in general. This has absolutely made me enjoy learning the beginning basics of it. Matt does a great job of walking you through and explaining the "whys" and "whats" but gives you the wiggle room to think for yourself too. Excited to continue learning here.

I always thought that coding was something that I would never get into because it's supposedly really hard. SheCodes actually makes it fairly doable to learn and the prices for the courses are not to bad. I do recommend this to anyone trying to learn as well even if it's just the basics course. You learn a lot in just 3 weeks if you put your mind to it.
I think SheCodes Basics is a great investment. It introduced me to the world of coding and taught me the basic fundamentals, all in 3 weeks! When I was learning by myself, through apps, it only taught me coding language, such as html elements for links, images, headings. However, it never taught me how to apply this language and create a functioning webpage. SheCodes filled in this gap and taught me through coding software that developers are actually using. I look forward to continuing my coding journey and thank SheCodes for giving me a great starting foundation!

She Codes Basics has been an amazing experience. The classes were easy to understand and follow along with and very informative. I liked the challenges as they really helped me grasp an understanding of the coding elements. It was great to be self-paced and the final project was fun to work on. I recommend everyone takes a She Codes course!

This was a great beginners course. Easy to follow and you can always go back and review things in the videos. An expert is always there when help is needed and the SheCodes community is there to help as well.

I had a great experience with SheCodes. The lessons were very easy to follow, and slack was super helpful anytime I got stuck or confused. If you are on the fence, I would go ahead and take the course! If nothing else, I don't feel as intimidated by technology as I used to.

I am so glad I started classes with SheCodes. I've wanted to switch careers for awhile now, but wasn't sure where to get started. My first SheCodes class was the motivation I needed. The class was easy to follow yet challenging at the same time. I enjoyed the bit-size lessons that fit into my schedule. I loved that Matt would sometimes throw in a challenge on a concept that he hadn't fully explained forcing me to problem-solve and evaluate the project as a whole. I would definitely recommend SheCodes to anyone not sure where to start.

I used to take coding classes online while is a charter school. I took Java Programming and Python. They were also the only classes I had high grades in, so I'm glad that I am able to continue learning to code with SheCodes!

I loved doing this coding course, it really helped me a lot to organize my bases to start programming. I was very motivated and the explanations in each lesson are very clear.

I first became interested in coding during the pandemic but with hundreds of online coding bootcamps I was unsure where to start or which ones were legitimate. Luckily I found SheCodes and was sold after the free classπ I suggest it to all of my friends looking to make a career change.

Just like the Basics class, this was a great experience. It was definitely challenging and I had to rely on so many of the resources (slack, others projects, google, etc.) to really get and understand the information. Matt is a great teacher and easy to follow.

The course structure is great. I am a beginner at coding. With a challenge following each lesson, you have an opportunity to practice and apply what you learned.

My professional background has absolutely nothing to do with utilizing technical skills. The soft skills I've acquired over the years have allowed me to be successful and well-rounded in my current career. However, I have always been intrigued with how and why things work. Web design courses were offered to me in middle school and college, even though it was a love-hate relationship, I loved the experience of creating something instantly. My current position is detailed oriented and the correlation between that and the classes offered by SheCodes made sense for me to change career paths. Technology will always be around and I want to be apart of seeing the growth and development of it. SheCodes classes are simplified and easy to follow. Matt does a great job explaining how and why everything works. I wish I had invested into this sooner!
Taking a coding class as a busy mom of 2 babies seemed hard, but this course made it doable! Small quick videos and engaging challenges made learning fun. I know that I will be able to continue to build upon the skills I have just learned.

This was a fantastic beginner course. I have been stuck in a rotation of watching tutorials and starting on other self paced coding sites, but I am a person who needs more structure and this was perfect for me! I looked forward to it every night and the final project was soooo much fun seeing the outcome of what I created!

I started SheCodes because I want a career in tech. I've tried other courses but I like the accountability of submitting homework. Matt's videos were easy to follow and I thoroughly enjoyed the course.

SheCodes Basics was a great introduction to coding. I had tried another class previously, but struggled to gain momentum. The format of SheCodes, which broke each concept down and then allowed me the opportunity to practice using it, was very effective. Most importantly, this experience gave me the confidence that I can learn to code and I look forward to progressing through additional classes.
SheCodes is a fantastic course! I learned so many things in the SheCodes Basics Course. The course is easy to follow and very manageable even while working a full time job and being a mom to a 5 month old baby. I had done a coding bootcamp before, but I felt that I never truly learned code. It was very fast and I didn't get much time to sit and play with it. This course helped me take the time I needed to understand and research what I was having a hard time with. I feel a lot more confident in my skills and am ready to keep challenging myself!
This was an enjoyable beginner course! The modules are well proportioned and I really appreciated being able to reset my "start date" a couple times due to finals and other life things that came up.
