This course was by far the most challenging; which kept me motivated to keep trying and focus on why I wanted this career change. What a rewarding course that I was able to accomplish and to have the opportunity to achieve my goals in a short period of time in a professional setting; I am grateful and thankful. She Codes Basics has been an amazing experience. The classes were easy to understand and follow along with and very informative. I liked the challenges as they really helped me grasp an understanding of the coding elements. It was great to be self-paced and the final project was fun to work on. I recommend everyone takes a She Codes course!

I had a great experience with SheCodes. The lessons were very easy to follow, and slack was super helpful anytime I got stuck or confused. If you are on the fence, I would go ahead and take the course! If nothing else, I don't feel as intimidated by technology as I used to.

I am so glad I started classes with SheCodes. I've wanted to switch careers for awhile now, but wasn't sure where to get started. My first SheCodes class was the motivation I needed. The class was easy to follow yet challenging at the same time. I enjoyed the bit-size lessons that fit into my schedule. I loved that Matt would sometimes throw in a challenge on a concept that he hadn't fully explained forcing me to problem-solve and evaluate the project as a whole. I would definitely recommend SheCodes to anyone not sure where to start.

I used to take coding classes online while is a charter school. I took Java Programming and Python. They were also the only classes I had high grades in, so I'm glad that I am able to continue learning to code with SheCodes!

I first became interested in coding during the pandemic but with hundreds of online coding bootcamps I was unsure where to start or which ones were legitimate. Luckily I found SheCodes and was sold after the free classπ I suggest it to all of my friends looking to make a career change.

My professional background has absolutely nothing to do with utilizing technical skills. The soft skills I've acquired over the years have allowed me to be successful and well-rounded in my current career. However, I have always been intrigued with how and why things work. Web design courses were offered to me in middle school and college, even though it was a love-hate relationship, I loved the experience of creating something instantly. My current position is detailed oriented and the correlation between that and the classes offered by SheCodes made sense for me to change career paths. Technology will always be around and I want to be apart of seeing the growth and development of it. SheCodes classes are simplified and easy to follow. Matt does a great job explaining how and why everything works. I wish I had invested into this sooner!

This was a fantastic beginner course. I have been stuck in a rotation of watching tutorials and starting on other self paced coding sites, but I am a person who needs more structure and this was perfect for me! SheCodes Basics was a great introduction to coding. I had tried another class previously, but struggled to gain momentum. The format of SheCodes, which broke each concept down and then allowed me the opportunity to practice using it, was very effective. I had done a coding bootcamp before, but I felt that I never truly learned code. It was very fast and I didn't get much time to sit and play with it. This course helped me take the time I needed to understand and research what I was having a hard time with. I feel a lot more confident in my skills and am ready to keep challenging myself!
This was an enjoyable beginner course! The modules are well proportioned and I really appreciated being able to reset my "start date" a couple times due to finals and other life things that came up.
It was interesting, fascinating and most importantly understandable. I'm glad I got into these courses because they are very suitable for starting.

I really enjoyed this workshop. Even though it was only 3 weeks, I gained so much knowledge. When I began the workshop I knew a little bit about VS Code, HTML, and CSS. Now that I've finished I've learned even more and I was introduced to JavaScript. I was honestly very nervous about JavaScript but it was taught in a way that made it seem less intimidating and easy to understand. I loved the short lessons and the challenges that followed. It allowed me to test my skills and make sure I was truly understanding the information. The solutions were insightful and I feel like I learned a lot of tips from those as well. I highly recommend this workshop to everyone. Beginners will find it easy to follow and those that already know how to code can refresh their skills.
Can't wait to start another workshop.
I thoroughly enjoyed taking the self-paced Basics class at SheCodes. Matt is an awesome instructor and while classes are pre-recorded, I felt as if they were live because Matt was engaging, entertaining, and really broke down concepts to make them understandable. I loved having the lessons and homework as a I learn by doing. I also had a ton of support with the SheCodes Slack community and was able to ask for help when needed or check the threads for tips and guidance on assignments.
I canβt believe that after 3 weeks I can say that I can code! Matt has done a great job, the lessons are well structured and easy to understand even for someone who has no experience in coding. I can honestly recommend SheCodes to anyone who still hesitates, itβs 100% worthy. Thank you, Matt and whole SheCodes team for creating this course π

Wanted to dip my feet in since I already have coding knowledge but wanted to expand some more, so this was more of a refresher of some sort. Thought that if my experience in the first course went well I would try out the other courses. I'll end up buying the next course, so for everyone who is scared of trying coding I think this is a good step in the right direction! It's super easy to follow and the videos are helpful. I am so happy to be able to get back to something that I was so passionate about in high school, learning to hone my skills into something workable! The pacing was a little uncertain, but I did end up managing a good schedule.
