Very Fun & Easy to Follow Along!
I thoroughly enjoyed this basic course from SheCodes. I'm currently in a UX Design program and am trying to build up on my front-end developing skills, so this was a great segway into the more advance stuff I'll come across!
What a great way to get inspired into coding! It was great to use a small workshop to dip my toes in and see if I find coding enjoyable. Turns out I do!
I have learned so much from my first coding class! I'm looking forward to learning more!

An AMAZING introductory course to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Not only will you learn the basics, but you'll also work in software utilized by developers. I cannot say enough good things about this course and I will definitely be back to further my education.

I enjoyed my introduction to coding! I like the way Matt Delac taught the workshop. He would give you what you needed to know but allowed room for problem solving. I am definitely planning on attending another workshop in the near future.
I absolutely loved the SheCodes Workshop. I was scared learning how to code because the codes were unfamiliar to me. However, Matt explained everything step-by-step how to use each programming language. Also, I really enjoyed the challenges. I feel like I learned a great deal from this workshop and I am appreciative of the opportunity.
I came into the workshop with little knowledge and coding. The format was great for quick videos and practice challenges. I really enjoyed the final project!

I first learned html/css over 15 years ago. I recently decided that I wanted a career change and the tech industry has always intrigued me. Starting with this basics course was my make it or break it point. It answered my questions about if I could grasp the knowledge but also if I would enjoy the work itself. Thanks to SheCodes, I will be continuing my journey into tech. Thanks for everything!

SheCodes basic is a great starting point for those trying to learn code. The instructor went into great detail on coding basics.

The way Matt transfers knowledge is very easy to understand, and it is beginners very friendly. Personally speaking, it is a very good learning experience. I can manage my studying time without any pressure as long as I finish all the challenges and homework. Overall, it is a very pleasant learning experience! I gained a lot. I'll continue with my next course, and excited about upcoming challenges!

I keep getting surprised by how much I learn each week through these courses. Each time I'm ready to give up, a new way of coding is introduced and instantly catches my interest again. It's so satisfying seeing a project being built from the ground up and added to each week. I can't recommend SheCodes and Matt as an instructor enough!
The Basic Workshop had easy to navigate lessons, challenges, and homework. The program provides great support through Slack with quick response times from instructors and other users. As someone who is completely new to coding, I would recommend this program to others hoping to learn an introduction to coding.

Matt's instructions were easy to follow. Each lesson helped build your skills towards creating an end project. Definitely recommend this course for anyone wanting to learn HTML/CSS/Javascript basics.

SheCodes has been an incredible experience! I am mostly bedridden and have very limited mental energy due to ME/CFS, but Matt's lessons are simple and enjoyable. Plus the program was very flexible with extensions when I was in health flares. It felt sooo good to actually learn a new skill and feel productive again! I missed that feeling! Also, I love knowing that if my health improves enough to actually stay awake during the day, I now have very desirable skills for a job that I could even do in bed! Thanks SheCodes!
After trying for months to teach myself just one coding language, I knew I had to rethink my approach. I signed up for SheCodes, and it wasn't at all what I expected - it's better. I'm so impressed with how much I've learned in such a short amount of time. Matt is not only an extremely knowledgeable instructor, but he also makes coding fun and exciting. I can't wait to learn more in the next workshops!

This course is amazing! It does a great job of breaking everything down into bite-size pieces so the concepts are easy to take in and practice along the way. The SheCodes Basic workshop is a great introduction to coding. I began the workshop with no background in HTML, CSS, or JavaScript, yet after only a few lessons was able to code a basic webpage. The videos and challenges are structured well, and the pace allows enough time to learn and review as needed.
SheCodes was very easily understandable for an absolute beginner, like me! The teaching and assignments are well aligned to set students up for success! Thank you SheCodes for an excellent intro course!

I am officially a big fan of these "Add-on" workshops. They give me the experience and practice that I need to more fully comprehend what I learned in the original workshop, therefore, giving me more confidence. This particular workshop pushed me further into understanding functions and javascript.

I truly did not know what to expect at all as a true beginner with zero experience. Easily digestible material, lessons, opportunity to be creative, and all at my own pace. I still have more to learn and this intro workshop definitely boosted my confidence. Just happy to be here
I had little developer experience when I started this class and in the past, I would start and stop because it was overwhelming. This was a challenge but Matt has a remarkable way of simplifying each section to make it easy to understand. My confidence has increased and now I feel like it finally clicked. There was so much information yet it was presented in such an easy, yet thought-provoking way. Even if I was stuck at some point, I could easily go back through the videos or workshop my way through the problem by the skills I learned. I'm so impressed by the classes and I can't wait to finish the other workshops!

I learned so much from SheCodes, thank you Matt! Although the curriculum was challenging, I was able to learn 4 different skills in one week; I learned HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Microsoft Visual Studio. The feedback from teachers and students on the Slack channel was super helpful for me, especially when trying to understand JavaScript. Not only was the class educational, it was fun! I looked forward to going to class each day.

This was incredibly doable! Reminded me of Myspace a bit! (Good old days). This was actually really fun to learn (surprisingly not as intimidating as I thought either!) and I can't want to continue expanding my skillset.

I never thought I can understand the language of HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT. It is amazing to be able to understand the concept of basic coding and being able to work on very cool mini projects that allows you to be hands on, able to make mistakes and learn from them but above all to have a teacher that created these videos. I am thankful I ran into this website and though you may not be into software programming, I think its great to simply try it out and understand what we use on a daily basis and appreciate all the work that goes into it. I had a lot of fun and considering to learn more. I am in my mid 30's and I am proud of myself. I did not think I can learn something new and it shows me that I am able to do more then I thought and building my own confidence.

I am excited to build my knowledge base with SheCodes. It's a different approach to the standard bootcamp which is refreshing. Being connected with thousands of like-minded women is a great way to build community within the the tech space and one of the main reasons I joined SheCodes!
I'm in the process of changing careers into the tech world, and just finished taking the basics to CSS/HTML/JS course. I still have a long road ahead but I truly believe the class has given me the fundamentals I need to progress forward!
