After completing SheCodes Basics, I can not wait to continue my journey through SheCodes Max! I am a new mom working on changing careers from an Elementary Music Teacher. Through SheCodes' fun and easy-to-follow courses, I now see that is a possibility.
This was such a fun course! I went in thinking I'd have to struggle to retain the subject matter, but Matt really knows how to explain everything in a simple and memorable way. I really enjoyed the SheCodes Basics workshop! The lessons were easy to understand, and the challenges were a great opportunity to practice each of the new things I learned. SheCodes breaks down information into nicely digestible sections. It is challenging enough to make you think and apply your skills but not so challenging where you'd want to give up.
Matt made coding look fun and very interesting! His lessons that are made up of short sessions, mini challenges and simple steps are easy to follow. Resources and support through Slack channel are also very helpful. Highly recommended!
I was actually very nervous coming into this, but I had a lot of fun and gained a lot of new skills! I also enjoyed how accessible the help team was on Slack and I was never left hanging.

Going into this workshop I had low expectations for myself and what I found in the first day was how much I loved this! Matt's teaching helped me understand coding in a way that nothing else I have done on my own has. I also was so thankful to have the community on slack to help answer my questions!

I highly recommend Shecodes , they were really flexible with me. I learned so much, at first I thought it was going to be hard, and coding overall is hard, but Matt really shows you step by step.
SheCodes is an excellent introduction into the world of coding! The format is very fun and makes learning manageable even for those with a busy schedule. I learned a lot and it hardly felt like homework. I would definitely recommend this program to others, and I hope to continue with more advanced courses on SheCodes.

One of the best programs out there. From start to finish it was easy learning plus plenty of resources to use if you are seeking for help.
I 100% recommend SheCodes to anyone looking to learn front-end development or just want to revisit the basics and practice concepts. The modules are well designed and easy to understand. Most modules had exercises with it, which helped put learnings to practice. Homework and other submissions clearly stated of what was expected. Overall, it was a great learning experience.
Matt models all concepts with screencast videos. I like that he also mentions commonly made mistakes and how to fix them. There are numerous opportunities to practice new concepts and receive feedback before moving on. Slack makes it easy to ask for and receive specific feedback on your code, when you hit a roadblock.
This is such a great class and the best thing that you can do for yourself! Just do it and take your time as needed. Do not be scared! You can do it! I was working full time; while I took this class. His voice will lull you to sleep so don't feel bad. Have fun and good luck!

I wanted to learn coding to be able to get a better understanding of how my designs are translated into code as a graphic designer. SheCodes has made me feel less intimidated by the world of coding and I'm loving it!
I didn't think I would learn or catch on as quickly as I did in 3 weeks! I'm already looking forward to taking the next workshop.
I have been a nurse for 10 years and wanted a new challenge, especially something that would appeal to my creative and artistic abilities. I've always had a natural talent for any tasks that involved computer work, and it became extremely enjoyable to me. I find myself getting lost in the endless possibilities when creating code.

SheCodes has been amazing. I started this bootcamp last year, but stop being active due to some life circumstances and just wasn't motivated anymore. The good thing about SheCodes is that you have lifetime access to your workshop once you start. I honestly love that about SheCodes. I thoroughly enjoyed learning the basics of coding through SheCodes Basics! This was a great course that introduced me to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I'm so glad that I've become acquainted with the basics of these languages since I work cross-functionally with front-end developers and designers. Coding is truly an art and I can't believe how much work goes into it!
I love the additional layer that SheCodes Next provides. We've learned all of this information, so how do we translate this into the real world? Next provides those answers and I enjoyed it!

I have always been hesitant about getting into coding, but decided to try out SheCodeBasics to see if I would like it ... and I LOVED IT! Overall everything was clearly explained and easy to follow along! I like that the lessons were pre-recorded videos so that I could stop and rewind when needed.
I can't recommend SheCodes enough. I was able to build my own interactive website in just a couple of weeks. I can't wait to finish the rest of the courses!

The SheCodes program is spaced out clearly and is super easy to follow. I loved that I was able to work on lessons on my own time, as I work a full-time job and run a small business. That freedom allowed me finally learn new skills that I never thought I would have time for. I can't wait to further my knowledge in coding!

I am so happy I signed up for the Beginners Course. It was easy to understand and the assignments were a great tool to practice html, css, and Javascript and understand the coding language. As a teacher, I highly recommend this workshop to anyone uncertain about signing up. Lessons were split into perfect portions, making it easy to learn, understand, and practice. I'm excited to sign up for the next workshop within the next few days as I finish my first workshop!
I thought it was really well done. I had no coding experience prior and the steps were easy to follow. I loved the flexibility of the course and the possibility of extensions since I work full time and signed up for the course just to learn a new skill!
SheCodes plus was fun. I found it very easy to follow and understand. I would have liked to learn more conversions and a few ways to handle some of the extras I wanted to add to my final project, but overall I'm very happy and looking forward to continuing on to the next workshop.

I saw an Instagram ad for SheCodes and, after signing up for the intro class, I knew I had to invest in this! I always thought coding would be so difficult and, while it is challenging, I have loved every minute of it. The team was also very understanding when I needed extensions due to personal reasons. If you are hesitating, don't!
SheCodes has been very fun to learn. I feel like there is no going wrong in learning about coding and especially in this manner. I have liked it so far, and I feel like everything that one is learning is tested in the challenges.

This workshop is super easy to follow along with. It's super hands-on and I appreciate the challenges after each lesson - it really allows any beginner to hone on to some basic html/css/js programming. loved it!
I was excited to add an extra project to my portfolio through the Basics Add-on, and I'm so glad I ended up learning so much through it! I had fun learning new techniques while building a web page that involved something I really enjoy. Mat explains each concept in ways that are easy to follow, while still allowing room for each person to add their own ideas and creativity to their design. SheCodes continues to keep me excited and curious about coding and building my confidence in these skills at the same time.
I have been trying to push myself to learn how to code. I have been intimidated to learn because it looks complicated and makes you not want to learn, but with SheCodes, I felt more confident. Yes, it is hard at first because everything is new, but it is straightforward to understand. Matt is extremely thorough in explaining. After taking the previous workshops with Shecodes, this add-on workshop helped me get more comfortable using my vanilla CSS skills. This workshop is helpful to polish your skills, highly recommend it.
The simplistic nature of coding and the steps given are easy to utilize. SLACK is AMAZING when you get stuck. Having a community to communicate your walls, that you will run into learning the language of coding, is extremely relieving. Im excited to see what opportunities lay before me with this knew knowledge and community to work with alongside this journey. If you are a beginner with no experience, it's truly simplistic Matt's approach. The videos can be sped up or slowed down also, which makes room for you to absorb all the information coming through. I saw the ads for SheCodes online, and I am so glad I committed to the Basics! With a busy schedule, I was able to complete the course in only 16 days! Everyday, I spent an hour to an hour and a half watching/ rewatching the videos and practicing.I feel as though I learned so much information. Basics is definitely beginner friendly, and I hope to continue this journey with SheCodes!
This add-on definitely expanded my knowledge of CSS and I am proud to show the project that I created. I was able to get a CSS skills badge on LinkedIn following this course.
