This course was amazing because it takes you by the hand and teaches you how to code, step by step. I love the Matt features in the course videos, making the learning fun. However above all, the course is well structured so it is easy to get inspired and implement the techniques. All in all, I expended a great time during this course.
I loved this workshop, I was able to learn so much about the job market. I wasn't feeling too confident about looking for a job before taking this workshop but now I feel way more confident!
This program is easy to follow and the instruction is great! Even during the more difficult courses, Matt's explanations and examples make the information far less intimidating. I also like that we are doing real-life applications of the programs/languages during the courses. The programming cheat sheets, color gradients, etc., were an unexpected find but are super helpful and easy to navigate. Coding was something I always wanted to do and thought I could learn on my own, but as a mother of two young children, a workshop such as this is exactly what I needed to help me stay accountable, organized, and motivated to become certified as a Front-End Developer.

This workshop has been most helpful in learning the basics of coding. I love there are bite-sized lessons, challenges, and homework so we can integrate the material we learn. It doesn't take too long to complete and the information needed is all within the workshop.

I kept seeing people post about the SheCodes workshops anytime I looked up coding workshops. I am so glad I decided to join the SheCodes community. The lessons were very informative and easy to follow. I love that there was a challenge after the lessons. Courses are extremely beginner-friendly. Lessons are taught thoroughly and has adequate amount of practices and opportunity where you'll have to think outside the box. If additional assistance is required, Matt and other students are available to reach out on Slack.

I'm enjoying learning to code through SheCodes. Being able to set my own pace, with weekly deadlines, has made it possible for me to fit it in with my busy schedule.
I have a digital marketing degree but have always wanted another skill to distinguish myself from others. Hence, I have taken up coding despite having no prior experience. This course has really helped me improve and refine my capabilities as a beginner coder and I could not be happier! Javascript was a bit trickier and sometimes frustrating, but it was the right kind of difficult to help one improve upon their skills. The videos from lessons were always detailed and easy to follow as well. In the worst-case scenario, the Slack group was very useful in me solving any difficulties I had. There are many tools at one's disposal in the event that they are stuck on anything. I learned a lot in the past couple of weeks and would recommend this course to anyone wishing to learn code!

I approached SheCodes because I wanted a change of career, I have always been fascinated about coding and everything it entails. SheCodes has helped me develop this interest as well as enlighten and piqued my interest to want to know more. It's been a great learning process so far and definitely not as complicated as I've previously thought. One thing I liked was the teaching experience, Matt Delac is a really good teacher. The SheCodes Basics workshop was amazing! It was challenging at first but with Matt's helpful teaching tools and easy to understand explanations it all came together in the end. I highly recommend this course if you are evenly slightly curious about the world of coding (like I was). I will definitely be continuing on with SheCodes Max and Plus in the future! :)

I really enjoyed learning code with SheCodes. The lessons were well blocked so I could stop and start as many times as I needed to. The way it's organized made it easy to go back and re-learn concepts I needed help with or just to check myself. I had a lot of fun and hope to be back for more!
I decided to start SheCodes a few months ago when considering a career shift from nursing. I started with SheCodes Basics and loved it! I signed up for SheCodes Pro and just finished the SheCodes Plus portion. I will admit, JavaScript has been challenging to learn since I started with zero knowledge about coding, but Matt makes it so fun and explains it really well. Not only am I learning completely new computer languages, but Matt is also teaching real world coding skills. While this weather app has been very challenging at times, there has always been resources to help me solve the problem when I get stuck. And I'm very proud of my final product! This is a great workshop! I found the information in the videos easy to understand and loved the hands-on challenges after each section. It helped reinforce the information we were learning. Matt and the SheCodes team did a great job and were super helpful. I love being a part of a community of women striving for the same goal while supporting each other throughout the journey. I've tried coding in the past during my time at university. I immediately found it fascinating and fun, but I never really felt like I was part of the coding community or that I could comfortably ask for help. This greatly discouraged me during this time. I felt like maybe coding just isn't something I can do. It has been a number of years with small attempts to get back into coding here and there. I kept hearing about SheCodes and the success of thousands of women around the world who began with little to no coding experience. I began thinking, 'Maybe I really can do it!'. I attended the free workshop led by Matt and my intrigue with coding was instantly restored. His way of instructing made me feel confident that I can actually follow along and genuinely understand the lessons. I appreciate how he does not rush through the lessons and breaks them down into easily digestible videos. What has held me back in the past is my difficulty with reaching out for help. The SheCodes website has tons of resources right at my fingertips. Slack is also awesome for finding answers to questions I've had. It's also reassuring to know that I'm not alone with whatever question I have because it's often already been asked on Slack. The moderators are kind and highly responsive, it is a very encouraging and collaborative space. It's a great tool to have alongside the workshops. This is just the beginning of my coding journey, but I am so excited! I have big plans for my future career plans!
I learned so much in this basic course. I thought I was gonna struggle a lot more, but I didn't. Matt does a great job breaking down each lesson and explaining them. The best part about this platform is that you get homework after each lesson so you are forced to actually apply what you learned. This short course sparked my interest in coding tremendously. I'm also learning Python and machine learning, and I enjoy writing every line of code. Searching for the best technique to complete each exercise was both enjoyable and challenging. I'm excited to move on to the next level.
SheCodes was a great experience for my first time diving into coding. I did find it to be a bit challenging and it is something that needs practice like learning a language. I found myself getting nervous about deadlines and it took me some time to really get some of the things down. The team is VERY helpful on the slack channel! I have been trying to learn how to code by reading books and study from free/purchased online resources, but I gave up so many times because I didn't get it at all. I gave it a try again with SheCodes. And I can't believe I created webpage in 2 days! (It's actually 1-week course, but I spent my whole weekend on learning SheCodes Basic). I don't know how Matt made it so easy to understand, like, How didn't I understand this in the other places? lol
SheCodes is so mentally addicting. Every small challenge I find a solution to, gives me all the right materials to prepare me for the main projects. Give me more knowledge SheCodes!

While I wish there was more one-on-one guidance from professionals and experts in the field for the sake of professional development, the videos do a great job of teaching the technical side of front-end development, breaking down processes into highly digestible chunks.
With SheCodes, Yana was able to understand the HTML, CSS and Javascript components and used her new skills to create a landing page which will be expanded into a website in the future. I come from an outdoor environmental education, services, and stay-at-home mom background. I knew my way around Microsoft Word and could connect my phone bluetooth to my car....and that's about it. If I could do this then so can you! If you're on the fence, just do it. JUST TRY IT! Matt really breaks it down for you. I'm not going to lie, it was frustrating at times, but it was even more gratifying to solve the problem by myself and see the results of my hard work.
The instructions are interesting and easy to follow. If you have been interested in learning how to code, this is the workshop for you to get started.
I took this class to see if coding was something I would enjoy doing. The class explains basic concepts extremely well, and I actually loved it! I feel like I have a solid framework to build on going forward, and am excited to learn more.

The Basics workshop exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this program for busy women to learn code on a part-time basis. This was a great way to learn the foundations of coding and how webpages are built. The lessons were challenging, yet manageable. The instructors and fellow students are so helpful and engaging. The pace and the structure of instruction was excellent, perfect for beginners!
It definitely challenged me and there were many moments where I felt like I couldn't get my code to work properly. However I tried my best to troubleshoot and was usually able to fix the problem or find a new solution. I'm excited to learn more facets of coding.

I currently am a teacher but I am looking to transfer to a profession outside of the classroom. I found SheCodes through a teacher transition Facebook group and took the free intro class. I decided to try the Basics course to see if coding was something I could even begin to explore as I had zero prior experience. The course was very easy to follow and manageable to commit to even while working full time. I felt so proud of myself as I accomplished each challenge and homework assignment and even more proud to have completed my first project! I definitely will sign up for another course to gain even more skills and confidence in myself!

SheCodes helped me learn basic HTML in 2 weeks--something my high school couldn't teach me in a whole semester!
