This workshop was exciting for me. I didn't expect to take an Intro to AI workshop but I learned a lot. I highly recommend to anyone that is coding.
After trying the free class, I was a little concerned about how the lessons would go. But I had nothing to worry about - Matt's explanations were easy to follow, and I liked the provided challenges to help solidify what you just learned. The Slack community was also a great source to ask questions (chances are, someone already asked the same one before!), and so I felt like it was truly self-paced since I didn't need to wait for people to get back to me. I am so excited to keep learning!

I've been looking to change careers and knew this is something I wanted to look into but didn't know where to start, or if I'd even enjoy it. I wasn't willing to go back to school and get yet another degree for something I wasn't sure about. I'm glad I found SheCodes! This is a great place to start and get a feel for it. Instruction is good & projects are challenging. I've learned a lot already in just the basics. Support from SheCodes seems great as well, though I haven't needed to reach out myself yet. Now I have some confidence in pursuing this career and my ability to do it. I'm excited to keep moving forward and wouldn't have done this without finding SheCodes!

After making the decision to make a change in my career path, I was introduced to SheCodes by my friend. It was definitely a great way to be introduced to this field. Even though this was just the basics, I enjoyed being able to create projects with what I have learned. It got overwhelming at times with the challenges but with the help of their lessons I was able to easily access and review them. SheCodes also provides a great way to connect with SheCodes Team and other students in the community whenever we have questions. Thank you!

I had such a great time doing the SheCodes basic course. I had zero knowledge about coding but this course has been a great first step in being introduced to front-end coding. I found myself looking forward to it once I finished with my day job. The lessons were easy to follow and there's a ton of resources you can use. The staff on Slack were very helpful, as well as the other students in the community.

The use of components and hooks are definitely a significant use for utilizing React. I hope to review once again in other practices and projects to pursue my coding endeavors. It helps a great deal when managing a lot of functions.

I have learned so Much!! Participating in this workshop had definitely elevated my coding abilities, exposing me to advanced programming concepts and tools. SheCodes is an amazing workshop. I've learned so much in the past 3 weeks.
Matt is very easy to understand and pushes students to take accountability for their learning by encouraging us to research outside of the course when we don't understand or need more information about a concept. Finding info on our own will be a real life scenario, so I appreciate that the answers are not always fed. Still, Matt does answer many of the questions that I feel other courses do not.
I loved doing this course, and the deadlines helped me stay on track! It was easy to understand and to go back through the videos if I forgot how to do anything. I love all the help they offer throughout the course!

SheCodes basics is a great course for beginners and those who may need a refresher on coding.
It is definitely not getting easier at this stage of the course but working on the practical assignments and building the application from scratch has given me the confidence to tackle some more complex challenges. Learning to code was something that was in the back of my mind for awhile and since goin in and out of college I knew I loved it. For the last three years, I worked in the food industry, and even though I enjoyed my job I knew I wanted to explore a new field I wanted . This year I found myself with more time on my hands and decided that I wanted to explore coding. I wanted to expand my knowledge of the tech world, what it had to offer, and what my role could be within it. Honestly this is just the beginning of the course and its so much info and I love it.
This provided great content in small digestible increments, and the weekly homeworks helped reinforce the learned skills.
I would recommend that if you want to try something new, do it. This program could change things for the better. Give it a try!
Hey there! So, when I first started coding, I thought it was impossible to understand. But you know what? Each week that went by, I found myself amazed at how easily I could comprehend the material. I owe a huge thanks to Matt and the SheCodes Team for being such great teachers and making the learning process fun!
It was highly challenging and I found myself in the thought "I don't want help, I will try to do this on my own" I wanted to be competitive with the others in the sense I didn't need to be rescued. But, I was the one who required to be saved at some lesson to complete the course. Having a goal made it even more fun. I recommend implementing a goal to have fun and feel like it is worth it.
The lessons were very easy to follow. I definitely gained a better understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Thank you for everything!

SheCodes is the best way to learn how to code. I love the way it is broken down in a way where my learning of each subject is very easy. Then having the lessons are the icing on top to really nailing the subject down. I would recommend SheCodes to anyone interested in coding.

It was so much fun to learn the ins and outs of coding in further detail through these projects. There were a few times I had to stand up and walk away from my computer, but the second I came back, it would click. There is a sense of pride in creating something from scratch that is functional in the end :)

Learning the basics was much easier than I anticipated. The ability to work at my own pace and utilize self-guided resources made the process more manageable. I discovered that keeping solutions simple is essential. Overcomplicating things is unnecessary; practicality is key.

Such a fun course. Its so satisfying to have a working project by the end of this! Matt goes in depth but makes it as simple as possible to understand the terminology and work-flow of building this - especially the javascript.
React was definitely hard... but the SheCodes team was super supportive. I'm glad I was able to complete this!

Wow! SheCode Plus was intense but so informative. During each lesson I found myself so excited with what I was learning and so curious for what would come next. The final project is challenging and not quick but with patience and practice it gets done! I loved that each week prepares you for the final project but you learn something new until the last video. I am so thankful to the SheCodes team! I cannot wait to start my next course!

Easy and engaging. I've tried other courses before that are very boring and have so much reading. The SheCodes videos are great and I love that Matt doesn't try to get you to memorize hundreds of elements and attributes. He just teaches you how to find what your looking for instead on trying to memorize.
I came in with very basic knowledge of html and css so as a beginner I thought the course was good in helping me build in to what I already know. The ask athena function was very nice and having the solution to help guide my own solution was good as sometimes I became so stuck I had to leave the project alone to come back with fresh eyes.

I really enjoyed this coding basics program. The way that the lessons are broken up help to focus on grasping concepts. The instructor is great about explaining things and also allows you to discover some coding on your own, which I believe is a big component to software engineering. Can't wait to learn more!

The React workshop was definitely much harder than the previous ones, but thanks to Matt's guidance and structure, I was able to follow along at my own pace and digest the information. I really enjoy being able to follow along with Matt as we work on our project together.
