I'm so happy I joined; I never thought I could code ! Matt is a wonderful teacher, and the support team has been so great in making the process of learning to code super fun.

Thank you so much Matt for all the videos and explanations and the team for answering all the questions and helping to fix the issues. These couple of weeks were very informative and I have learnt a lot. I am excited to start the new course and keep learning.

I never thought that I would be able to code. I'm a health policy professional-turned-soon-to-be UX/UI designer and developer. I've really wanted a creative way to earn income from home. Coding seemed so intimidating, but in 3 weeks with SheCodes I've built my first website from scratch, have my very first project for a portfolio, and have earned my first certification!

I really enjoyed the basics course, it was easy to follow and understand. This was the best form of instant gratification.

Great workshop! I finished the three week class in less than a week because I was having fun solving the puzzles and learning something new. It was a bit addictive to be honest. 😊 The pace of the class was perfect. Matt gave us enough information without going too slowly and the homework was challenging without being overwhelming.

Learned something new to kick off 2023! Matthieu Delac makes it simple for beginners to pick up coding and did a fantastic job providing incremental learning and challenges. I'm so excited to continue upskilling on my coding journey.

The perfect platform to figure if coding is right for you. Great step by step instruction without the techy jargon.

This class was a reminder of how much fun coding was to me because I used to code in high school.

This was a fun and flexible way to learn the basics.

The lesson is well-structured. I like the way that Matt showed us how to inspect the webpage to create independency in the learning process. The support of the team and peer-learning method are something you won't get from a free ride lesson. He explained in understandable language contrary to trainers who at times just want to sound smart and use sophisticated terms to impress, but the learners didn't understand or grasp the central point of the lesson

A wonderful introduction to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript!

I enjoyed SheCodes Basics. I thought it was challenging without being too difficult. The challenges after each lesson help you to put everything into practice.

I had seen this program on Tic Tok and decided to try it out and see if coding would be for me. Honestly, I fell in love with it, Matt made everything so easy to follow and it was very easy to learn. Any questions I would have would actually be in the next video I would watch for each course. I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone, any age.

I will first like to point out that I had ZERO experience in coding. When I think of what coding is, I use to think of it was the highest level of the pyramid and that I will never be able to understand it, yet so fascinated by it. So, I give it a chance. Not only that I understand it, but I also enjoyed it. It's hard to learn something that you're scare of on your own, with no physical help. But, SheCodes [Slack] team was very helpful, encouraging and patient with me. I would love to go beyond the Basic course, hence why I choose to continue with SheCode Plus. Thank you everyone for being such a great team to us!. I'm still nervous, but I highly believe that Matt and his team will pull me through my journey.

I've got a great looking website here and the introduction of Moment is fantastic! I'm obviously feeling more comfortable with some visual elements and am thrilled to add universal skills to my collection!

Went from knowing absolutely nothing about coding to now being able to create basic web pages. I am absolutely loving this fun yet challenging program!

I feel like I learned so much in just a few weeks! It has been so much fun, sort of like puzzles. I think these are great courses and workshops to expand your knowledge on coding, especially with a strong foundation with the basics!

The SheCodes Workshop I completed was very easy to navigate and did not feel stressful at all to complete! All the resources necessary were provided, which was so nice.

I am so proud and grateful to have completed SheCodes Basics. I'll never be left wondering whether I am smart enough or good enough [to compete against men in tech] because SheCodes taught me that I am. I highly recommend SheCodes Workshops. I have no coding experience and in three weeks I was able to understand the basics of coding. It was rewarding to take everything I had learned during the three-week workshop and use it to create my own landing page. I look forward to completing more SheCodes workshops!

It was great to up my skills and challenge myself! I loved making the weather app.

After completing almost all SheCodes workshops (including React), the Responsive workshop has to be one of my favorites! I learned so many more CSS, and Bootstrap skills that the other workshops lacked, and I feel that I can apply what I learned here across various areas in the future. I do wish I had taken the Responsive workshop before I took the React workshop (my initial package didn't include the Responsive one), as the Responsive taught me so many excellent skills that I wish I could apply to the latter. I highly recommend this workshop and SheCodes overall!

Learning how to code sounded incredibly difficult and I doubted I could learn, but I took a leap of faith and advice from a close friend. SheCodes makes learning coding extremely approachable and easy to follow along. Deadlines exist to keep you accountable for yourself, but there are options for deadline extensions. Also, there's a huge community of fellow students and tutors that are only a message away.

Taking this course provided a sense of accomplishment and the opportunity to explore new interests.

This was a good workshop to learn the basics for HTML/CSS/JS. The pace was reasonable. The challenges were a good way to immediately practice and reinforce the material presented in the lesson videos.

I really enjoyed taking the SheCodes basic workshop. I had a lot of fun coding the little challenges and the end of the week homework. I was really busy during the time period of the workshop and had to do most of the challenges and homework last minute, but the explanation was so detailed that I did not struggle as much as I taught I would. I really appreciate that Matt himself is teaching the classes and helping his students through the basics of coding. This is a website I would recommend to any women that are interested in coding.

This was a great workshop especially I love how you can work at your own pace. I have been trying to get into the IT Field for 3 years now uncertain on where to start. Matt has created a great workshop for me to understand and a great direction to head in. I'm excited to see where I will land with in the new year!

Hi. My name is Abbey Grant, and I am a second-year college student from Chicago, Illinois. I had a great time learning the basics of coding. I got interested in coding from a high school computer class and decided to try while I have the winter break off. It was a nice way to spend my time with not having any winter college classes. Although it was sometimes frustrating when I couldn't figure out what was wrong with my code and how to fix it, I got excited every time I figured out how to fix it. I will definitely be increasing my coding skills with more classes in the future.

Initially, I had signed up for SheCodes because I wanted to have basic knowledge of coding - now that I've completed the Basics certificate, I plan to continue mastering this skill in the future 🤗 The curriculum is fed in bite size pieces with flexible deadlines that keep you going. Matt is an awesome teacher who explains the topic in an easy-to-understand way for beginners! A sign of true expertise 👍🏼

I wish I knew about SheCodes earlier! During grad school, I found it pretty hard to learn how to code, and my professors were never any help but with SheCodes The basics was awesome and so fun to learn. I am now more confident about coding than I ever was!

I have been interested in learning to code for a while but I was not sure which program to choose. I tried to go the self taught route but after a few months I still did not feel comfortable or confident coding. I'm so happy I signed up for SheCodes!!! I have been interested in learning how to code for a while, but I couldn't find a program that worked for me. Until SheCodes! The lessons are great, and the community is also amazing. I like that there are assignments due because, in the past, with programs that didn't have that, I would just stop doing it. SheCodes holds me accountable and helps me stay on track!

This program was very easy to follow and easy to retain. The material is so organized. I love that you can always go back and find the info you need if you have any questions. The SheCodes team gives helpful feedback on homework assignments.

I enjoyed how easy it was to understand the assignments and the concepts. Providing me with the information and then allowing me to practice right after helped with learning the concepts.

This is the first time I've understood Javascript basics, practically. After getting my Bachelor's in Business Information Systems, I had taken a course or two in programming languages and it went right over my head. Not this time! I actually get it and I am excited to learn more!

SheCodes Basic provides an introduction into HTML, CSS and Javascript, providing the necessary tools to start building basic websites that perform a handful of tasks.

I enjoyed this course and learned so much! It's a very in-depth class - I now have a great understanding of many basics of web development. It also made me excited to keep learning more. I highly recommend this class!

Best decision to try SheCodes Basics! I wasn't sure if I wanted to try out coding but SheCodes Basics is the perfect introduction into this world. It was a lot of information to soak in but Matt breaks it down into manageable chunks so you don't feel too overwhelmed. I definitely feel like you need to & should keep practicing so that you have a more solid understanding but, it makes me happy to think that just 3 weeks ago I didn't know what HTML, CSS & Javascript was and how to use it -- now I do!

I have been wanting to try coding for a long time. I thought I needed a degree in Computer Science just to learn, but Matt made it so easy to understand everything. I am looking forward to the next challenge.

This was challenging, yet fun! At one point, I did become stuck and wanted to just forget about completing the workshop. However, the SheCodes community is behind you with assistance to help you become unstuck and keep moving! When I completed the project and saw what I accomplished, I was indeed proud of myself for not quitting midway.

The course is too good, building web pages had always caught my attention, and the way and methodology that Matt handles is incredible, you are going to learn a lot, I feel that I have gained a new skill and I will definitely continue with the other courses that She codes has.

SheCodes has been AMAZING thus far! I have zero coding experience or background (just simply an interest in coding). I was seeking to transition from an entirely new career outside of healthcare to a more technical/IT career path. I love how thorough the courses are and break explanations down to a 1st-grade level so that it is easy to understand and follow along. SheCodes has exceeded my expectations and fear of jumping into a new field!

I really enjoyed this course and building the weather application was a great learning experience. The more time I spent with the demo material and also troubleshooting on my own, the easier I found the concepts to understand. When my code didn't work as expected, I really enjoyed diving in to problem solve independently before looking elsewhere for the solution, and this course helped grow my confidence to do so! I am excited to learn more :)

As someone who knew nothing about coding before taking this workshop, I did not expect it to be so easy to follow along. While I did have some hiccups along the way, I am looking forward to continuing my road in coding with SheCodes. 😊

I've always wanted to formally learn coding because my career has required me to edit it for various reasons (websites, newsletters, widgets, etc). I was getting by with limited knowledge, hunches, and the mundane cycle of trial and error. I thought taking a course would be too hard, especially while I work. I was so wrong. Coding is fun and the knowledge I gained will serve me in my current and future roles! If you're on the fence—do it scared!

I had a lot of fun with this workshop. I learned a lot of new techniques, and I'm exited to keep learning more with SheCodes. 😍😊

It has been so helpful to be able to learn coding on my own time by watching Matt's thorough tutorial videos. A big part of what makes this course very helpful as well is the Slack community. Being able to see similar issues others face and seeing solutions is a big help when I would get stuck. I'm a UI/UX Designer, so I don't need to create code in my job, but this course has made it much easier for me to talk with developers and I am now more comfortable exploring code in inspect mode in order to find things out myself. I have tested out a few other coding courses online but always ended up leaving and searching for a new one. Matt explained everything perfectly and even taught me how to do additional research to make my websites even better than what the homework requires me to do. The support from the SheCodes team was also a wonderful experience for me, I felt comfortable knowing that my questions are always welcome. I have been logging on every day for 2-3 weeks straight and I actually enjoy learning here, I will be completing the advanced workshops.

I was scared to learn coding, but decided to challenge myself! This workshop was fun and easy to follow. If I can do it, you can too!

I have thoroughly enjoyed what I have learned in these past 3 weeks. I started not knowing how to code in HTML at all, and now have made 2 projects on my own. I now feel comfortable creating a portfolio to showcase my work and start applying for jobs! I plan to return and enroll in SheCodes plus as soon as I can! This is an amazing program, I have referred others as well!

Good course that gives a basic surface knowledge of technologies mentioned in it. Required way more in-depth research and practice to understand what's really going on. SheCodes is a nice start point!

SheCodes makes it fun for me to learn to code. I have always dreaded taking a coding task or a coding class, but thanks to SheCodes, I find coding fun and something I am always looking forward to doing. I really enjoyed the SheCodes workshop! I've tried many other resources to learn how to code, but I would lose momentum and stop halfway through. The SheCodes workshop broke down concepts into bite size pieces that were easy to follow and understand. That in conjunction with the challenges and homework deadlines really helped motivate me to complete each lesson. I am so excited that I now have a way to execute my ideas!

I absolutely loved this workshop! Although I already had some experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Matt really helped me to fully understand the fundamentals by thoroughly explaining each concept which gave me the confidence to be able to write my own code without having to use google as much as I use to. The videos and challenges are also easy to follow along with and keep you engaged until the next topic. I'm excited to continue learning through SheCodes!
